@talist: I'd join in. Depending on if it has the chance to become canon, I might even get my characters involved. I made an account on the terraria forums just to have Old Man Elderly do a cameo in jondanger's spinoff.

And yes, I looked back and realized... The IUPC was involved in a previous event with the godmodder. I hadn't meant to do it when I made the relevant post, but the implication is there, so Eric, X, and a few others (not Piono) are going to show up.

You guys might even get to meet the void oracle and Eric's mentor early.

Heh. He's a 'minor' reality warper outside of Minecraft, but within its sphere of influence, he's pretty much unrivaled. During the Trifecta, this means just about everywhere in the multiverse. Once it ends, he'll be a bit less of a threat...

For a little while. Then tvtropes happens and everything goes to heck in a handbasket again.

Piono, we need to have a talk at the earliest convenience. There are things that must be said to you. Pesterchum would be preferred, but we need to do stuff. Some of it you will LOVE...And some of it will feel like a punch to the gut. But it has to happen, very soon, before DTG0 starts.

I feel I should point out that Bay12's a crazy enough place that a completely-off-topic, takes-place-in-minecraft forum game wouldn't actually be that outta place, as opposed to the 10,000 page thread of outright insanity, or crazy, just-as-long-as-DTG crap like the We Are Our Avatars franchise. And I quote; "WORSHIP THE POTATO."

Well, that means you should go over there and do a Spinoff. We are not having every DTG here, we can just make a whole new one with a separate canon over there while keeping this one going over here.

I'm surprised you didn't think of just having a plain-ish spinoff. No gimmicks, just some charging and entities. That was what TT did, and look where we are now because of it. I mean, I guess whoever wants to make one there can do it. Nothing really stopping any of us, just credit TT and all that.

Its also not like DTG being set in Minecraft is actually all that relevant considering everything we have. We have freakin' Altneria even though we're not on... whatever forum they use. Pretty much as long as people know that Minecraft has big, blocky worlds, I think they'll be alright.

And about Bay12 specifically, that's Dwarf Fortress, right? Now, I don't know much about Dwarf Fortress except that pikes (the fish) are brutal assassins and you always seem to drown (water is nasty in general), but I do have a... secret informant who plays DF a lot. Or at least, used to. Don't know how long they'll be around for though. And no, its not Google.

Sure, if Talist wants to make a spinoff there, he can go right ahead. As I said, he can make a spinoff here or anywhere else if he wants.

All things considered, it doesn't even have to be MC. The Godmodder can use his insane skills to suck every Dwarf Fortress world into one. BAM! Problem solved. He's infamous for MC, but it doesn't have to be his one thing.

• There is no dorf multiplayer
• Even if there was, ...Oh wait, Adventurer Mode. PRAISE THE TOADY ONE.
• The Godmodder would quickly suffocate in mugs.

Actually, Bay12 is just the developer, while DF is their most well known and only currently-in-development game, they also have such unusual gems as Liberal Crime Squad and WW1 Combat Medic under their belt. Hey, for that matter, a LCS spinoff could be interesting, given that that sort of thing's probably our second-best bet against Binary. {The best being just planetcrackering everything until the ashes stop moving.}

...Also, !!CLARIFICATION!!, I have no interest in GMing a DTG, anywhere, ever.

Okay tazz, at the risk of taking forever during tonight's update, I'm going to leave pesterchum open from now on until we have that chat since it seems like its fairly important.
