That's not really true piono... Blue is on the battlefield, sure, but she leaves the dangerous missions, like ones with actual health bars, to her minecraft avatar. Though that's not so much because of a lack of "perks" than it is a want to not risk an early grave.

Also, I've retconned who Azurite is in relation to Blue. It won't be significant for a while, if ever, but just in case you need to know for some reason, it's not her father anymore.

Well, I meant why her avatar is so powerful. Most of the avatars with ancestors have a person playing Minecraft with no clue as to the ancestors thing up until the parable.

I don't see why Blue's Minecraft avatar wouldn't be powered, at least partly, by the ancestor thing... Blue didn't know about the ancestors, she just recognized who it was when she heard about hers.

Okay, well, I used to be Minecraftian, meaning that I had an Ancestor, giving me all those perks with it, right? But then I converted my body into a cloud of nanomachines, however I choose to stay in a human form with those (even though I could take any form I felt like). So would this mean I got my power through my Ancestor and then lost it, but regained it with the body? Or are the Ancestor perks genetic and I just replicated those genes in a mechanical form while converting my body?

That's just it xcano, all of the ancestors were listed in Intermission 2, you're one of the cases nimble was asking about:
minecraftian avatars with extra powers for no explained reason due to not having an ancestor.

Also, maniac, give it a rest. I could get into the rest, but ****-pulling an ancestor... that's really just too much. It doesn't fit into your story line at all, and if you try to shoe horn it in there... just don't. Your story's been interesting enough that I really don't want to see it ruined by trying to shove a gimmick into it.

Well, I suppose that's true fseftr. But you've forsaken some of the heritage, which would normally give you a slight disadvantage. Not a big one though.

It's more of a spiritual thing than a genetic thing, I think. In any case, assuming you have one at all, it's probably permanent. No worries, mate.

... Alright, no Ancestors. But, PionoPlayer, this was part of my storyline since the beginning. I see what you mean, ancestor is a bit too much. How about... FATHER.

Using a Minecraftian avatar was too restrictive. Even though it saved on resources, the sheer firepower that a drone can contain makes a Minecraftian obsolete. And it's better to overwhelm your enemies with power rather than have them not notice you with lack of power.

Just a little personal history, my actions have been mostly within the pale so far, but it tends to take a little more than deicide, the unnecessary destruction of entire planetary biospheres, and gravely insulting honored elders to get the Lords Engineer to exile someone for Heresy. And even more for them to exile rather than permakill you.

xcano: magic is, in fact, real in DTG. Both Eric and piono run stuff on it, and in fact, the multiverse runs on magic more than it runs on science. Science is mostly limited to individual universes.

maniac: Oh, Oblivion being his father. I don't get how that works, but that makes more sense. I can live with that, although it would have been nice had you foreshadowed that before the reveal. Would have made it more dramatic, but oh well, what's done is done. I'm interested in seeing where that goes.

Magic is indeed one of the realest things in Realitorium. No disputing it, as well.

That reminds me of a fanfic idea me and a few friends had. It would start out with us/our self inserts going through a game of SBURB, but then because of someone else REALLY screwing up the timeline, we're sort of in a splinter branch (a doomed timeline so big that it has its own doomed timelines) and lots of stuff happens. One of my friends alchemizes a large fighter jet, then decks it out with alchemized weapons, One black king gets ahold of all 8 king's staves and 7 of the queen's rings (long story, split session because of aforemention time-jerk, who also kills his past self, cementing the paradox) and things get worse, with my character eventually abusing the reality of magic to come up with a ritual to yank the doomed branch into the alpha timeline (With some help from contacts from the canon Homestuck characters, having finished up their craziness and gotten what they wanted) only for said time-jerk to rally the entire population of the outer ring against us.

Whew, long wordy backstory. But the thing is, just the moment when Rose is about to be overrun, my character rushes over and begins blasting horror terrors with his immensely overpowered wands.
Rose: What! How?
Me: With magic!
Rose: But there's no such thing as magic!!
Me: What was that?!? I couldn't hear you over the sound of
Extra big blast of magic
Me: ME USING MAGIC!!!

Yeah... it was mostly meant to be just a fun fanfic, not meant to be overly serious.

I had revealed it a couple of turns ago, as OBLIVION's reaction to Maniac weakening him. Not everyone noticed, though.
