3/3 My house is complete! I will constantly upgrade it, adding rooms, floors, towers, turrets, and it will eventually grow into a fort, then a castle, then a kingdom, and then maybe even an empire. And it won't stop its constant expanding and improving even then! It shall be open for anyone who needs rest, if they are judged judged worthy... and maybe to blow it's enemies into pieces of the size 2-100 if judged unworthy of continued existence. Assuming Zerithos is N or AG, I send a group of construction machines to help with his house, as while I had intended to build a New Fort once we got back here, I'm fine with letting someone else handle that.
Gray energy warps around me in lines, as I, for once, use the special tendencies of my War Armor as they are intended... 1/3

GAHMD IS OVERCHARGING. 4/OVERCHARGE.
Heavy Gunship 3/4
Having finished my Upkeep Stage, I begin Attack Stage...
I begin launching a series of flares at the Entity Buster, damaging it, and calling down an Artillery Strike on it.
I call in another squadron of weak robotic minions, and order them to CHAAAAARGE!
After a few minutes of tracer fire and explosions, all the many minionbots have fallen, and taken many of the foe with them. Then they all self-destruct, killing yet more of the enemy.
{By the by, my new avatar is pretty similar to how I imagine myself looking like in-game. More big gaps in the plating, no giant reactor stuck on the back, no shield bubble, but quite similar.}

For people who have just joined, here are two tips for getting the best out of your post:
1) You're allowed to attack something and charge at the same time.
2) Whenever you post, you can add 3 to someone else's charge. A common practice is to "trade" and give someone else your +3 and in exchange they give you their +3.
Count Wilson as attacking with a 5 post charge.
With his head throbbing, Wilson harnessed energy for a final attack. He blended both gravity and electricity together to create a small ball of sparks. When he threw it, it arced across the battlefield and hit a drone, not only short circuiting it, but also causing it to fall as gravity intensified for it.

"Well, you know... Performance issues... It's not uncommon, one out of five-"
"Where the actual hell did you come from?"
"Well, this creepy tall faceless suit guy gave me the coordinates to this place, so I stole a helicopter from the Vietnam war, plugged in the coordinates, and it flew here."
"And now you're dead."
*Dead*
"Now, back to the battle... That didn't work, so it's not a direct rip-off, someone must be aiding them since they don't seem smart enough for modifications on this level..."
>Run override command 0/42415-3/7242/8-2
"That never fails if there's any resemblance at all. There was definitely a resemblance, so they should either start malfunctioning en masse, or there's a force at play affecting this battle from outside any directly connected realities to this one. Or something that's been created before."
>Deploy Heavy Guardian special ability World Shield
"That'll hold for a while. Now, what has survived up to this point..."
>Scan memory for entities not in play that have survived to this point
You run the override command... and again, nothing happens! What's going on here? The giant invisible presence, the newfound strength of the drones, the coding that exceeds any ones created by even Engietech... Something's not right. But what?
Here's the most "recent" list of entities on the Battlefield, if that's what you were referring to. Of course, Scratch, English and I are all gone, so there's that.
I didn't resummon Tricky actually, this is the same Tricky as from before. I had him leave the field because no one was attacking him and we were at a point where he was just going to screw everything up. This is literally the exact same entity as faked his death when Hank tried to kill him.
The Project Nexus army (or at least what's left of it after these commands) should be added to the field. The converted crockercorp battleships and such will probably become relevant when we get back to the battlefield.
Also, what happened to all of the entities taking damage from my barrage? It looks like they're all at full health.

I agree. Phobos! Yes?
Have you left the area? Yes. I'm back on the battlefield as we speak, I'm on the flagship.
Good. How much of our troops are at Yggdrasil? Most of them.
That's no good. We're almost done, but whoever is in charge of these drones is pouring out obscene amounts of them.
If they figure out that there's actually guns on that thing the first block is toast.
Have the remaining ships bring most of the troops back to base. On it, how much you wanna leave?
Leave a few battalions of foot troops, have them do anti-air. The crockercorp ship itself has shields and something's blocking Tricky's improbability drive. That isn't the Condesce piloting that thing is it?
I highly doubt it. I'll call the troops out then.
Good.
Dimentio! Yes?
Has alternate future dimentio... Yes, the other TARDIS has already been sacrificed.
Well then, no matter how badly things go here our friend is safe? Yes. Very. I also commandeered one of the really big supercarriers the new fleet has.
Ooh! Nice catch, keep that inside your shield bubble and bring it to the battlefield when I call for it. You can rely on me! Ciao!
Tricky.
Oh dear... This is going to end badly, for one of those two at least.
What happens as a result of above orders:
The Project Nexus converted battleships move off of their attack and pick up the majority of the Project Nexus troops and head for the battlefield, leaving two ATP battalions, a 1337 agent brigade, and a division of grunts (big, bigger, and, well, Project Nexus got left on its own for way too long, let's just put it that way.) as well as a platoon of G03LMs. Dimentio has finished securing the bubble.
The majority of Project Nexus ships leave, and they summon some smaller platoons of entities!
The Condesce is not a hologram! Something's... off about her, however, you're right about that. Tricky is predictably stopped by the massive shield surrounding the Battleship.
I spin attack into the mites, destroying everything in my path. I then do a scythe beam into the noscopers, the tanks, the DX tanks, the entity busters, and the snipers.

Ready for the secret weapon? Yep.
Remember how the energy obliterator supposedly only holds three rounds? Guess what, its reusable.
We take our x2.5 damage modifier potion and apply it to this next attack. Then, because everyone against the crockercorp troops are under automatic minicrits due to last rounds extended splash potion of rejuvenation, we effectively have a x3.75 damage modifier. We unleash our massive beam of destruction.
150000 damage, all of it aimed at the crockercorp entities that deal the most damage.
Hold it! You can't just cheat like that and claim that the Energy Obliterator is suddenly reusable when you never specified it was before! And the minicrits only count to entities, not player attacks! But, hold on a second... saying that an attack has a quality that was never mentioned before... That almost sounds like... a GODMODDING tactic! Now look at what you've done!
A flash of lightning sounds throughout Yggdrasil as a figure descends from flames, with a giant, clockwork hammer in his hands! The Godmodder is here! It looks like he wants to see what happens with the Scratch just as much as you do... But whose side is he on...?

You know, I believe we've won already. The troops can't deal enough damage to the block to destroy it. Based on my math, the tuning fork will be left with 88,458 hp at the end of next turn if no enemies are destroyed. Never mind, I didn't see that Pit already said that. But I don't know, maybe something else happens if the block stays at high hp. everyone target either the drone elites or the mk2 drones. They have the highest damage:hp ratio at ½.
I enter rage mode and destroy more elite drones because I didn't get a prize for my amazing high score.
Wilson collects more dirt clods and charges them the way he did before. This time, he loads one of them into the tube he made earlier. He charges the end of the tube positively and TADA! Budget grenade launcher!

You deploy the MIRV, and it falls down out of the sky towards Yggdrasil. You look towards the gaping hole the Battleship made to get into the Tree, and look at the sky to see a giant explosion thousands of chunks away. Looks like it was a teleportation device...

Given the fact that Trace is skilled at infiltration, I get him to infiltrate a Crockercorp Tank.
(I did some calculations, and if no entities are summoned this turn and we kill nothing, we take 115542 damage. Not enough to kill the block, but still...)
4 Elites killed!
Trace heads into a Tank and manages to disable its flying mechanisms! It falls down, conveniently into the Nether Portal ManiacMasteR just created! ...Huh. Tank killed, I guess?

Now, let me see, best next action... Hmm... Should warn Wilson... "Hey, Wilson! Avoid getting killed, that thing self-destructs when the pilot dies. And when a four terawatt Monochromium reactor goes up the creek... Well... 'Boom' does not suffice." Uh... Kill stuff? Yeah, kill stuff...
I load the Colorless Revolutionary Handrailmagnum with flares, and begin shooting the bigger Crocker entities with them, marking hit entities for attacks. {Attack six strong-ish Crocker entities, then force AG entities in the field to get a free attack on each of those entities}
I materialize one {1} Low-Orbit Artillery Battery, way up at seventy klicks, and order it to fire at all marked entities. {The battery has 10 shells, each time someone attacks an entity, the battery fires, adding more damage to that attack, and using up a shell, when it runs out, it falls from the sky and hurts stuff. I would prefer it not have health, but if it does, it can only be hurt by orbital craft.}
30,000 damage to a Tank!
You mark the Entity Busters, DX Tanks, and a Medic!
Wow, I missed a lot. Damned typhoon and blackout...
And I suppose we should admit a game over. Unless another plot twist happens like with that Magnum Scratch used to have. Anyway, I guess I should make more charges.
Honestly, the Constructs aren't that OP. If you want to nerf them, I can send them out in squads of 3 instead of 5.
I perform Mighty Strike on the healthiest entity, dealing a great 15000 damage, however, this will decrease my post count for the next two turns, not including this turn.
"Hmmm, those people look like they might need some help protecting spawn from that... whatever that is. Maybe I should help them, I hate spawn-killers after all."
1/10 I begin to glow!
This isn't spawn! It's x - 0, z - 0. That technically isn't world spawn, which is near the Battlefield.
I'm actually switching the intended purpose of Return and ??? because I feel like that needs 40 posts more. However, I'm against using charges as a currency - storing them up, trading them, and then suddenly using a really powerful attack from combined charges. I miss the old days... When people would actually think of a thing to charge and how many posts it would take, charge it without being boosted, and use it without combining charges (not charging as long as you say). I try to use charges as little as possible, but in such a charge-trade dominated game, sometimes it feels like I have to to do anything useful.

Yeah this is... I'm not even sure how to respond to this.
When he threw it, it arced across the battlefield and hit a drone, not only short circuiting it, but also causing it to fall as gravity intensified for it.

...Do we need a goal amidst this chaos? What difference will it make? We all know how this will end; the 'good guys' win, the 'bad guys' lose, they all suffer the same fate.

~~~
All throughout GodCraft, throughout the world, a virtual Rapture was occurring. The deeds of the players, their varying hearts, had all led them to initiate the Scratch to save the server. They had fought through a gauntlet of Crockercorp Drones, all to save Minecraft, to save a world, a universe. Their deeds were public, the Internet had turned them into gods, made their stories, their entities, part of a pantheon. And now, they had seemingly summoned the very Apocalypse to Minecraft, as it had seemed to the players.
And they were right. They had created an Apocalypse. Its very nature confusing to the players themselves, only that it involved a Disc and a Block. Those inclined to Homestuck knew of the nature of Scratch Constructs, but even its presence in a universe not meant to bear a session confused them. Everyone, around the world, governments, newscasters, common people, knew one thing:
Something had happened.
~~~
Even the Godmodder, master of all of Minecraft, owner of this very server, was confused. The Scratch had completed, this much was obvious, with a golden pattern having been etched into the surface of the First Block itself. But there was no Skaia to send the energy to, no defense portals to change, no meteors to carry, so nothing to change that could warrant the properties of a Scratch. Things were present here that would be typical of a session, but then there were things that contradicted those things, such as an Alchemiter that combined the full alchemy process into one machine. So, in this "half-session", would a Scratch work?
Were the deeds of the players all for naught?
~~~
The First Block made a low humming noise, its previously bronze surface turning a gold color. The pattern carved into it revealed light, shining out of the Block from its internal mechanisms, making rays of creation shine throughout the World Tree. The Block started to grow, crackling, arcs of lightning surrounding it. To the players, standing on its surfaces, the very air around the Block seemed to warp, and the Block started ascending into the air, slowly.
The Condesce, still on her Battleship, watched the spectacle unfold, and she raised her trident, yelling orders. The Drones fell back, allowing the Tanks to head to the front lines. They aimed up at the First Block, and the players' entities readied to fight. But then, all of the weapons on the Condesce's ship fired up at once, aiming straight for the entities. They fired hundreds of orchid beams at the entities, lasers, railguns, cannonballs, bullets, every projectile one could think of, decimating each and every one until they were unable to fight.
The Tanks fired at the First Block, but their artillery was deflected by the players, who were defending it even in this final hour. Cannonballs and bombs exploded prematurely, were bounced back, or shot into other drones, as the players orchestrated the demise of the wicked. The humming noise produced by the Block grew and grew, with layers of pitch and tone being added every second, eventually creating a full-on symphony that heralded the final ascension of the players.
The First Block ascended to the ceiling, glowing white-hot, and ejected a ring of pure energy that cascaded throughout the World Tree, blinding everyone inside and cleansing every entity in a wave of fire. The Godmodder took the blow as well, and flew out of the chamber and into the halls of Yggdrasil. Most of the Drones self-destructed, and the Block teleported away in a column of light, creating an explosion that vaporized Yggdrasil in its entirety, causing a massive fireball to appear for hundreds of chunks, with flaming wood raining down throughout the Mesa biome that covered the Tree...
The Condesce, in her Battleship, issued another order. Something flickered above her. A massive shape, something winding throughout the sky. Hundreds of copies of the Condesce's ship appeared, a new fleet. Just as the players thought they had won, they had been outmaneuvered again. Somehow, the Condesce could make these ships and their drones like clockwork.
They were facing an endlessly spawning enemy.
~~~
The First Block ejected from GodCraft, one of many azure hexahedrons floating in the empty space of Minecraftia, the players now in deep space, flying fast away from the server and its miniature solar system. Traveling at speeds faster than light, the players saw a whole universe flashing before their eyes, with galaxies just as complex as the ones in Earth's universe, and stars as far as their eyes could see, being created out of raw coding. They exceeded 2x the speed of light, and felt the universe around them evaporate. All they knew was white.
They were transcending.
~~~
Beneath the broken Fourth Wall, English's golden staff floated in nothingness. His head separated from his body, he, or at least one instance of him, had died, a milestone in the history of reality. He was sentenced to the very oblivion he had detailed to the players. Above him, about twenty sonic booms sounded at once, heralding the arrival of the players, atop their First Block.
They had stopped right in front of the First Block, its shards reflecting the unearthly light the Block was producing. They peered through the Wall, and saw wonders not adequately described by the human language. They saw something that could only be described as the miracle of a new beginning.
The First Block began to shudder, its gears spinning wildly. The arm playing the Disc of Mojang retracted, returning to its original, vertical state. Columns of light emanated into the Void from the Disc, as the void shown by the broken Wall began to produce wild patterns composed of green, with yellow arcs intruding through its structure, scratching it. The shards of the Wall began to come together, and flew to different positions, modifying themselves, forming a giant sphere arching over the Block. The Void, characterized for its black emptiness, was lighting up.
Blue stars, strands of purple, whole universes unseen were appearing, creating a light show. The Block hummed immensely, resuming its chorus, as the Disc of Mojang threatened to pop off of the top of the Block, with no arm holding it in place. Talist touched its surface, and the Disc shrunk to its normal, handheld size, revealing a hole cut out of the top of the Block, revealing all of its inner mechanisms. The light of creation cascaded out of it, lighting up the entire Void.
The players watched as the shards of the Wall rearranged themselves onto the structure proper, effectively fixing themselves. Glass met glass, arranging themselves like puzzle pieces, creating the result of seven months of hard, bitter work. The Block expended all of its energy, humming away, creating arcs of light and sound, as the final pieces of the Wall formed themselves. The last piece hovered an inch from the Wall, at its exact center.
Then, it matched. Two lines, one horizontal, one vertical ran along the centers of the Wall, turning its one large pane into four quadrants, which all filled with light, shining at the players. The Fourth Wall had been fixed, on both ends.
~~~
Back at GodCraft, every single player felt a low rumble. The Condesce had sent out her new fleet of Battleships amongst the server anew, ready to create a whole new Invasion. But now, the players realized something was happening. A point of light shone at the very top of the sky, lighting every shadow, covering the world in the aura of creation. The light grew and grew, covering the sky in arcs, until the whole sky, day and night, was completely gold.
The Condesce watched, mouth agape, as her form flickered heavily. She looked up and cursed at the sky, a form flickering into existence. It was long, resembling a reptile, its body snaking throughout the skies. Even though its face was not visible, the Condesce could tell it was leering at her. The Godmodder looked up to see the Scratch had happened. Its effects were in motion.
The Condesce's ship turned solid gold, as did she. Every single ship had turned gold as well, every single construct created by the Invasion, Bec Noir, the Midnight Crew, Snowman, still on the server after all this time, all turning the same color, as if struck by Midas himself. Then, their forms were all plagued by glitches, warping, and overall corruption. They flickered and stretched themselves, until, somehow, they vanished completely.
The whole server, its skies golden, now turned solid white, bathing every player and mob under light given shape.
~~~
The Fourth Wall bathed the players in this light as well, blinding them. Talist placed the Disc of Mojang on the First Block, allowing the arm to re-extend itself, covering the hole created by the Scratch in addition to the markings. The First Block had dimmed, its energy spent. But whatever it had done, whatever its effects were, had happened in that climax. The First Block gathered its remaining energy, creating one white-hot bolt of pure heat, and let a single, pure arc of green spiral throughout the Void, shattering the Block's form, knocking every player off.
They fell, as if in slow-motion, right into the Void itself. They all descended, lit by the newly alighted Void, their falls somehow slowing from thousands of miles per second to mere inches, which was not, as they thought, an illusion, but a tangible effect of the Scratch. They fell, until they eventually stopped, in suspended animation, hovering in the Void.
How they would get back to GodCraft was debatable. But it did not matter.
They had won. The Invasion was over.
~~~
Back on Earth, a meeting had assembled in the White House. The President stared out of his window, looking at a skyscraper in construction. The decision to forge such a modern building in the capital of America was controversial, but in the end unanimous. He grinned. All the trouble that Godmodder had done for the past year would come to an end.
"Discussion sure has a lot of noobs visiting it lately... Let's see, redstone contraptions forum, automated home defence systems sure is a popular thread all of a sudden. Forum games... Probably don't want to go there. Paradoxes don't need to be started just yet. Okay, better check that Suckers thread. And of course, the current leaders of each country are hosting a huge discussion in there..."
YOU WERE IN A WAR WITH CORRUPTED VERSIONS OF YOURSELF. YOU ALMOST LOST, BUT THE LEADER OF NON-CORRUPTION, NULL, USED HIS TUBAS OF THE SCRATCH TO INITIATE THE SCRATCH.
Well, what actually happened was I set my Tubas of the Scratch to meld together the corrupted and non-corrupted together, therefore we are now one. No more crazy corruption, but we have all their powers. So now I am... a Knight of Null and Void. I have null and void powers. Well, this giant corruption fiasco is over. Let's see what is actually happening in this Scratch...
Ah here we go. Wow. This... the forums have... oh my. There is even a new bulletin and the theme of the forums has changed to reflect Yggdrasil and the First Block doing the Scratch, as well as... the Crockercorp ship.
Need me to summon less of them? Okay, I'll make the mechanic that I can summon a squad of six (6) constructs, but the device has a cool down of 3 turns.

"That's a lot of ships. But hey, Conservation of Ninjitsu. Some time soon, we're going to start tossing them around like dust mites or something. Let's see, apparently Russia, the USA, and China have all figured out how to remove the player power limiters and are working on removing the power limiters from all the other countries. Except North Korea because they'd probably try to nuke everything. Again."
Well, this is officially the end of Act 2! A seven month-long saga has drawn to a close.
I can't believe this took so long to do, but what matters is that it's over, and that a new chapter in DTG2 is about to begin. We're going to go back to basics now. In Act 2, the focus of the game was largely changed from beating the Godmodder to stopping a much larger threat. In Act 3, we're going to go back to the title of this game! I made a lot of changes this Act, and, even though at the time I wasn't sure they would have worked, it seems that you guys have liked it and the thread has gotten much more popular!
Starting tomorrow, I am going to be visiting family, and as such, will not be able to post then. I will return on Wednesday, the 22nd. Despite all of that, Intermission 2 will begin tomorrow, and end next Friday. I had planned for there to be a player-made game headed by OpelSpeedster, but unfortunately that's not going to be able to happen. I will, however, continue the Recap during Intermission 2, and make some new stories as well.
Thanks for sticking with me this far, and as always,

There's a difference between a hero and a champion. A champion overcomes threats, but a hero overcomes fears.
All my maps, click here.
Then there's also a Youtube channel I'm somewhat involved in.
You go do that... (This is starting to get suspicious.)
10 Mk. II Drones killed!
The majority of Project Nexus ships leave, and they summon some smaller platoons of entities!
The Condesce is not a hologram! Something's... off about her, however, you're right about that. Tricky is predictably stopped by the massive shield surrounding the Battleship.
15,000 damage to a DX Tank!
47 Mites killed!
You miss the Noscopers entirely, making your beam fail!
You use the Molten Processor! 10,000 damage to the Entity Busters!
7,500 damage to an Entity Buster!
5 Elites killed!
0.1 damage to every Drone! Since HP is measured in integers only, it rounds out to 0 damage to every Drone instead! Well, you did say you didn't care.
8,000 damage to a Tank!
You can't run away! There's nowhere to run away to! And welcome, by the way. If you've got any questions, send me a private message.
This is the weirdest Shatter I've ever seen...
184 Mites killed!
You deploy the MIRV, and it falls down out of the sky towards Yggdrasil. But then, as you do, the Crockercorp Battleship raises one of its many weapons, much faster than its mechanisms should have allowed, and fires a devastating blast that causes the MIRV to evaporate into thin air. You look towards the gaping hole the Battleship made to get into the Tree, and look at the sky to see a giant explosion thousands of chunks away. Looks like it was a teleportation device...
The Tanks are flying as well! Pretty much every Drone is flying...
Noscoper killed!
These aren't robots! I specifically said these are cyborgs! Pay attention, n00b!
4 Elites killed!
Trace heads into a Tank and manages to disable its flying mechanisms! It falls down, conveniently into the Nether Portal ManiacMasteR just created! ...Huh. Tank killed, I guess?
That won't halve their attack strength! But it will definitely lessen it.
93 Mites killed! Noscoper killed!
Whoops.
30,000 damage to a Tank!
You mark the Entity Busters, DX Tanks, and a Medic!
3,000 damage to all specified entities!
7 Mk. II Drones killed!
It's not that they're OP! They're not! It's that you summon them constantly!
Medic killed!
79 Mites killed!
18 Mites killed! 500 damage to a Noscoper! 3,000 damage to a Medic!
12,000 damage to an Entity Buster! 4,000 damage to a DX Tank!
This isn't spawn! It's x - 0, z - 0. That technically isn't world spawn, which is near the Battlefield.
Lobster Armada added!
Alright then. Good luck on whatever you're up to.
I hail from the East Coast of the USA.
7,500 damage!
13 Mk. II Drones killed!
184 Mites killed!
This is... This is really weird.
They are all waterproofed!
3,000 damage to a Tank, DX Tank, Medic, and Entity Buster!
You... You can't build a house in the World Tree. :/
Entity Buster killed!
15 Mk. II Drones killed! 201 Mites killed! Medic killed!
Yeah this is... I'm not even sure how to respond to this.
You brutally murder a Noscoper!
All Mk. II Drones killed!
15,000 damage to an Entity Buster!
Every entity is about to attack each other, when they realize something has happened. Something tremendous. The whirring noises associated with the continuation of the Scratch have stopped. The First Block is shining.

All throughout GodCraft, throughout the world, a virtual Rapture was occurring. The deeds of the players, their varying hearts, had all led them to initiate the Scratch to save the server. They had fought through a gauntlet of Crockercorp Drones, all to save Minecraft, to save a world, a universe. Their deeds were public, the Internet had turned them into gods, made their stories, their entities, part of a pantheon. And now, they had seemingly summoned the very Apocalypse to Minecraft, as it had seemed to the players.
And they were right. They had created an Apocalypse. Its very nature confusing to the players themselves, only that it involved a Disc and a Block. Those inclined to Homestuck knew of the nature of Scratch Constructs, but even its presence in a universe not meant to bear a session confused them. Everyone, around the world, governments, newscasters, common people, knew one thing:
Something had happened.
~~~
Even the Godmodder, master of all of Minecraft, owner of this very server, was confused. The Scratch had completed, this much was obvious, with a golden pattern having been etched into the surface of the First Block itself. But there was no Skaia to send the energy to, no defense portals to change, no meteors to carry, so nothing to change that could warrant the properties of a Scratch. Things were present here that would be typical of a session, but then there were things that contradicted those things, such as an Alchemiter that combined the full alchemy process into one machine. So, in this "half-session", would a Scratch work?
Were the deeds of the players all for naught?
~~~
The First Block made a low humming noise, its previously bronze surface turning a gold color. The pattern carved into it revealed light, shining out of the Block from its internal mechanisms, making rays of creation shine throughout the World Tree. The Block started to grow, crackling, arcs of lightning surrounding it. To the players, standing on its surfaces, the very air around the Block seemed to warp, and the Block started ascending into the air, slowly.
The Condesce, still on her Battleship, watched the spectacle unfold, and she raised her trident, yelling orders. The Drones fell back, allowing the Tanks to head to the front lines. They aimed up at the First Block, and the players' entities readied to fight. But then, all of the weapons on the Condesce's ship fired up at once, aiming straight for the entities. They fired hundreds of orchid beams at the entities, lasers, railguns, cannonballs, bullets, every projectile one could think of, decimating each and every one until they were unable to fight.
The Tanks fired at the First Block, but their artillery was deflected by the players, who were defending it even in this final hour. Cannonballs and bombs exploded prematurely, were bounced back, or shot into other drones, as the players orchestrated the demise of the wicked. The humming noise produced by the Block grew and grew, with layers of pitch and tone being added every second, eventually creating a full-on symphony that heralded the final ascension of the players.
The First Block ascended to the ceiling, glowing white-hot, and ejected a ring of pure energy that cascaded throughout the World Tree, blinding everyone inside and cleansing every entity in a wave of fire. The Godmodder took the blow as well, and flew out of the chamber and into the halls of Yggdrasil. Most of the Drones self-destructed, and the Block teleported away in a column of light, creating an explosion that vaporized Yggdrasil in its entirety, causing a massive fireball to appear for hundreds of chunks, with flaming wood raining down throughout the Mesa biome that covered the Tree...
The Condesce, in her Battleship, issued another order. Something flickered above her. A massive shape, something winding throughout the sky. Hundreds of copies of the Condesce's ship appeared, a new fleet. Just as the players thought they had won, they had been outmaneuvered again. Somehow, the Condesce could make these ships and their drones like clockwork.
They were facing an endlessly spawning enemy.
~~~
The First Block ejected from GodCraft, one of many azure hexahedrons floating in the empty space of Minecraftia, the players now in deep space, flying fast away from the server and its miniature solar system. Traveling at speeds faster than light, the players saw a whole universe flashing before their eyes, with galaxies just as complex as the ones in Earth's universe, and stars as far as their eyes could see, being created out of raw coding. They exceeded 2x the speed of light, and felt the universe around them evaporate. All they knew was white.
They were transcending.
~~~
Beneath the broken Fourth Wall, English's golden staff floated in nothingness. His head separated from his body, he, or at least one instance of him, had died, a milestone in the history of reality. He was sentenced to the very oblivion he had detailed to the players. Above him, about twenty sonic booms sounded at once, heralding the arrival of the players, atop their First Block.
They had stopped right in front of the First Block, its shards reflecting the unearthly light the Block was producing. They peered through the Wall, and saw wonders not adequately described by the human language. They saw something that could only be described as the miracle of a new beginning.
The First Block began to shudder, its gears spinning wildly. The arm playing the Disc of Mojang retracted, returning to its original, vertical state. Columns of light emanated into the Void from the Disc, as the void shown by the broken Wall began to produce wild patterns composed of green, with yellow arcs intruding through its structure, scratching it. The shards of the Wall began to come together, and flew to different positions, modifying themselves, forming a giant sphere arching over the Block. The Void, characterized for its black emptiness, was lighting up.
Blue stars, strands of purple, whole universes unseen were appearing, creating a light show. The Block hummed immensely, resuming its chorus, as the Disc of Mojang threatened to pop off of the top of the Block, with no arm holding it in place. Talist touched its surface, and the Disc shrunk to its normal, handheld size, revealing a hole cut out of the top of the Block, revealing all of its inner mechanisms. The light of creation cascaded out of it, lighting up the entire Void.
The players watched as the shards of the Wall rearranged themselves onto the structure proper, effectively fixing themselves. Glass met glass, arranging themselves like puzzle pieces, creating the result of seven months of hard, bitter work. The Block expended all of its energy, humming away, creating arcs of light and sound, as the final pieces of the Wall formed themselves. The last piece hovered an inch from the Wall, at its exact center.
Then, it matched. Two lines, one horizontal, one vertical ran along the centers of the Wall, turning its one large pane into four quadrants, which all filled with light, shining at the players. The Fourth Wall had been fixed, on both ends.
~~~
Back at GodCraft, every single player felt a low rumble. The Condesce had sent out her new fleet of Battleships amongst the server anew, ready to create a whole new Invasion. But now, the players realized something was happening. A point of light shone at the very top of the sky, lighting every shadow, covering the world in the aura of creation. The light grew and grew, covering the sky in arcs, until the whole sky, day and night, was completely gold.
The Condesce watched, mouth agape, as her form flickered heavily. She looked up and cursed at the sky, a form flickering into existence. It was long, resembling a reptile, its body snaking throughout the skies. Even though its face was not visible, the Condesce could tell it was leering at her. The Godmodder looked up to see the Scratch had happened. Its effects were in motion.
The Condesce's ship turned solid gold, as did she. Every single ship had turned gold as well, every single construct created by the Invasion, Bec Noir, the Midnight Crew, Snowman, still on the server after all this time, all turning the same color, as if struck by Midas himself. Then, their forms were all plagued by glitches, warping, and overall corruption. They flickered and stretched themselves, until, somehow, they vanished completely.
The whole server, its skies golden, now turned solid white, bathing every player and mob under light given shape.
~~~
The Fourth Wall bathed the players in this light as well, blinding them. Talist placed the Disc of Mojang on the First Block, allowing the arm to re-extend itself, covering the hole created by the Scratch in addition to the markings. The First Block had dimmed, its energy spent. But whatever it had done, whatever its effects were, had happened in that climax. The First Block gathered its remaining energy, creating one white-hot bolt of pure heat, and let a single, pure arc of green spiral throughout the Void, shattering the Block's form, knocking every player off.
They fell, as if in slow-motion, right into the Void itself. They all descended, lit by the newly alighted Void, their falls somehow slowing from thousands of miles per second to mere inches, which was not, as they thought, an illusion, but a tangible effect of the Scratch. They fell, until they eventually stopped, in suspended animation, hovering in the Void.
How they would get back to GodCraft was debatable. But it did not matter.
They had won. The Invasion was over.
~~~
Back on Earth, a meeting had assembled in the White House. The President stared out of his window, looking at a skyscraper in construction. The decision to forge such a modern building in the capital of America was controversial, but in the end unanimous. He grinned. All the trouble that Godmodder had done for the past year would come to an end.
The players may have won the battle.
But the war had not ended.
Yet.
Huh? What... happened?
THE SHATTER.
YOU WERE IN A WAR WITH CORRUPTED VERSIONS OF YOURSELF. YOU ALMOST LOST, BUT THE LEADER OF NON-CORRUPTION, NULL, USED HIS TUBAS OF THE SCRATCH TO INITIATE THE SCRATCH.
Well, what actually happened was I set my Tubas of the Scratch to meld together the corrupted and non-corrupted together, therefore we are now one. No more crazy corruption, but we have all their powers. So now I am... a Knight of Null and Void. I have null and void powers. Well, this giant corruption fiasco is over. Let's see what is actually happening in this Scratch...
Ah here we go. Wow. This... the forums have... oh my. There is even a new bulletin and the theme of the forums has changed to reflect Yggdrasil and the First Block doing the Scratch, as well as... the Crockercorp ship.
Need me to summon less of them? Okay, I'll make the mechanic that I can summon a squad of six (6) constructs, but the device has a cool down of 3 turns.
Jungle Ritual: 37/40
I use standard slice on a somewhat strong drone with at most 4000 health.
Damage: 71000/100000
Construct Summon: 3/3 DEPLOYMENT READY
An alternate timeline emerges.
However, we must first start from the beginning...
I can't believe this took so long to do, but what matters is that it's over, and that a new chapter in DTG2 is about to begin. We're going to go back to basics now. In Act 2, the focus of the game was largely changed from beating the Godmodder to stopping a much larger threat. In Act 3, we're going to go back to the title of this game! I made a lot of changes this Act, and, even though at the time I wasn't sure they would have worked, it seems that you guys have liked it and the thread has gotten much more popular!
Starting tomorrow, I am going to be visiting family, and as such, will not be able to post then. I will return on Wednesday, the 22nd. Despite all of that, Intermission 2 will begin tomorrow, and end next Friday. I had planned for there to be a player-made game headed by OpelSpeedster, but unfortunately that's not going to be able to happen. I will, however, continue the Recap during Intermission 2, and make some new stories as well.
Thanks for sticking with me this far, and as always,
Stay tuned!
