You may be unable to connect to Tarhalindur once the Power Worm activates its Power Surge.
The Guardian Worm - er, the Power Worm now - has a way of doing that.
Listen, I can patch you in to Tarhalindur even during the Power Surge, since I can manage the Power Worm's energy.
I just need his help for this next attack, okay?
Keep him focused. We'll need all the help we can get.

Xor continues attacking with the ULTIMATE DEER CROSSING sign and the Yield Sign, when suddenly Sky High grabs the Acolyte and flings him into the Power Worm's side. The Worm then activates Power Surge, sending electricity throughout its body. Star, from above, focuses the Worm's power into the small area where the Acolyte is, trapping him in a wall of raw energy.

CHAIN
ATTACK
START
Xor starts the Chain Attack off with the ULTIMATE DEER CROSSING sign, using it to bash the Acolyte's face in.
Sky High follows, withdrawing the Sense Destroyers with the Other Ruby and blasting the Acolyte with them, making him unable to see, hear, taste, or speak.
Star follows up, giving the Power Worm more power, increasing the surge of the power hurting the Acolyte.
Star: Now it's your turn, Tarhalindur. Hurry!

Action (Tarhalindur)
"Alright. Let's do this."
Responding to Chain Attack...
He pulls up a Calibration Lense, another universal artifact that took him considerable effort to obtain.
He positions and activates it, and it focuses the energy into a concentrated beam towards the Acolyte.
All the while, it charges up spare energy, and all of a sudden, the beam stops.
The Lense spins and crackles with energy, and after a tense minute, tears space-time.
The breach emanates from the side of the Lense and turns abruptly, like a lightning bolt, surrounding the Acolyte.
A force field surrounds the Acolyte, as everything inside is teleported to another dimension for a few minutes.
Still, no one knows what was in there.
But from his screaming, it probably wasn't pleasant.

Good.

No update for a couple of days, sorry.

I'll be visiting family until Christmas day, and I probably won't post then. I'll wait until the day after. I didn't post Friday because I needed to get some art done. Update should happen on Wednesday the 26th.

Happy holidays, and merry Christmas to those who are celebrating!

Sorry for the delay in updates! I've been away at family for a bit celebrating the holidays. I hope everyone's holidays went well!
Artheus slaps the godmodder in the :red: in a very sensual manner
1/25
He is building up a spell, but he might as well need help

Welcome... to the... game? Your PC will be added?

There is no Godmodder on the field right now! It's just the Acolyte.

Also, keep in mind that you can't charge things manually currently!

Whilst the Acolyte is glaring at Speluk, a large cow drops onto his head.
Nicol Bolas:24/25

The Acolyte isn't glaring at Spelunk, since they attacked the nonexistent Godmodder, not the Acolyte!

Xor appears to be sad.

"...Oh."

He walks away, then withdraws a Yield sign.

"Well, at least I won't have to feel any remorse now."

Xor blasts the Acolyte with the Font Changer and then slaps him atop the head with the rubber chicken. He then withdraws a second Yield sign and begins using his yield signs to conduct electricity. Using his electricity-powered Yield signs, Xor battles the Acolyte. He then shows the Acolyte the Meta Portal, showing that the font of the Acolyte's actions has been changed. He follows up with a shower of synonyms and attacks again with the Yield signs. Then, Sky High comes in with exactly what he was looking for - the ULTIMATE DEER CROSSING SIGN. This sign post has the power of every street sign in existence. He throws it to Xor, who drops one of the Yield signs for it, and sends the Other Ruby's power into it. He strikes hard! He strikes fast! And, as it's all happening, the Power Worm, much larger than ever before, swallows the arena whole.

The Acolyte raises a stop sign to combat the Yield signs, and blocks your rubber chicken with a well-worn hat of a roast chicken, causing the rest of the chain to fail! However, it is pretty well-written.

I go to some houses peeking inside windows to look for things like big giant swords or a joke weapon that is actually really good. I go and talk to a random person i see hoping for some weapon to use in PVP.

You go to a town-like, civilized region somewhere...

You start peering into the townspeoples' windows, but some of them take notice at your peeping, exit their homes and confront you. Some of them even have weapons out.

<Chief_Flintlock> Hey, what the hell are you doing?
<Chief_Flintlock> You're about ten seconds away from being driven off our turf.

Also, Permadeath will be a thing here! Getting killed in this area will lock it for some time.

PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT CHARGES ARE CURRENTLY DISABLED.

"Attention." The AI, Nikra (NYE-kra), speaks with a cool, calm voice which permeates through the main facility and the battlefield, thanks to the Tarhalindur Industries Emergency Sonic Broadcast System(TM).

The post suddenly

Welcome to TarOS 2.0.

Action (Makadon)
"Since I just released this system, I'll just have to do a little demonstration. Actions can now use a step-by-step system, making execution far easier for employees. The plan follows;
1. Use TarOS 2.0's IMPROVED REALITY MANIPULATION functions to pull out a Mind Manipulator (Not an item);
2. Insert the essence of S-rin into the Mind Manipulator (Not harmful);
3. Use the essence, along with the Mind Manipulator's Mind Manipulation functions to give the Acolyte PTSD because of his previous exposure to S-rin, resulting in the rather horrific effect of [REDACTED];
4. Use the Mind Manipulator's mass to bash the Acolyte over the head while he is curled up on the ground from said PTSD."
Makadon presses EXECUTE. "Let's see if this is really as good as the developers say it is."

The Acolyte has mentally hardened himself to the effects of S-Rin, rendering your attack moot at step one!

I tries to recall from memory what these runerock do. If I can't, I cast identify magic on it.

You don't remember having encountered Runerocks before, but you work out what kind of magic seems to run it. Turns out, these rocks might animate if disturbed, or just at any moment.

There's an oddly radiant gemstone at its center, possibly the centerpiece of this magic. What do you do?

Umm, no, I don't have a PS3. We can play this game if you really want. You want your PC to get into the game?

Update complete!

It is, sorry for taking this long. Update your posts accordingly!

The next update might take a while- I have some work I'd like to get done over break, unfortunately. Use the time wisely to plot a good post!

Update tomorrow!

I'm back, and I hope everyone had a happy new year! I should be resuming the update tomorrow, and if I don't finish that night, I'll finish the night after. I've had a lot of work on me lately, and it'll hopefully clear up soon.

Be sure to use this time to make some last-minute changes to your post if you haven't already.

Despite the low posting content recently, I promised a post the day afterwards. I need to get this game moving. Can I afford it? Should I wait longer interludes? What's making post counts so low?

Hoping that everyone had a happy new year!

Being #Shookith, i say

<SicclePlayz> I just wanted to see how everyone's houses looked! They look really nice!

Chief_Flintlock lowers his weapon slightly.

<Chief_Flintlock> Riiiight. Sure.
<Chief_Flintlock> You better admire our houses from the outside, though, because you're not coming in.

They're still alert, though, so you extended your life expectancy by about a full sixty seconds in this area. Maybe keep working with them?

Blinky101 smacks the Acolyte in the face with the full force of all the work he's not doing over Christmas
Nicol Bolas:24/25

The Acolyte blocks Blinky101's smack with the spirit of holiday cheer and laziness, and the capability to get it done in the time between Christmas and New Year's!

However, it's not enough, as his weapon gets worn down by procrastination! 1 damage dealt!

Xor jumps at the Acolyte with the font changer again and slams it on his head. Above, Star messes with the system. A message appears:

New challenge! The Acolyte can only dodge attacks if he does it in a different font!

Sky High snickers, and then commands the Power Worm to abruptly change direction, throwing the arena into the air.

The Acolyte takes advantage of this new change, anticipating another attack...

With the power of 2019, Blinky101 slashes the end of the Acolyte's nose off with his lightsaber
Nicol Bolas:24/25

The Acolyte uppercuts with his own lightsaber, but the power of the New Year gives out! Unfortunately, the Acolyte doesn't have a nose by virtue of the way I've drawn him. Maybe I'll advance stylistically a bit later.

Sky High and Xor attach the arena to the walls of the worm, causing it to start moving with the worm. Xor then takes control of the worm to make it do a series of loops, dives, and such.

The Acolyte encases himself in a fluid gel that absorbs the force of the worm's movements as the battlefield moves!

========[End-of-Turn Events]========

Ninjatwist_ is still locked in the casket, and in the bubble at the same time!

The Acolyte recovers from the procrastination assault and gets back to work on a new challenge! He locks in his defenses- although he has left himself open for one weakness!

New challenge! The Acolyte can only be hurt by a specific kind of damage!
Current Vulnerability: Musical Instrument damage!

Nicol Bolas:24/25

The Acolyte encases himself in a fluid gel that absorbs the force of the worm's movements as the battlefield moves!

Bold doesn't count as a different font. The challenge is still in effect! While the worm moves around, it takes a turn that causes the Acolyte to crash into a wall of violins because of the challenge!

Xor slows the worm down, then gets out a conductor's stand.

Tap tap tap tap.

I begin playing a song on an organ.

The worm slowly opens its mouth, revealing a strange, glowing figure descending from the sky.

It's Star, having arrived for a little "celestial intervention."

Star condenses the music into a ball of energy, which they fire at the Acolyte.
