The Interface: =================================================== 50/50 [ATTACK]
The Campfire: ================================================== 50/50 SUMMONING...
I +3 Battlefury. Both of these charges will be deployed very soon. Get ready.
I withhold entity actions for now.
The Scribe feels a chill pass through his body at the words of Erelye. A copy of his Journal... Well, that was theoretically possible to give him, even if the Scribe didn't exactly want to do it. An opportunity to join a being of infinite knowledge past the end of reality? That sounded interesting. Sure, if he got to the Gate, he'd end up becoming a god anyway, but it'd be nice to have a failsafe. The Scribe's goggles glittered with anticipation. And yet... There was the last request. His name. His real name.
The Scribe thought back, reflecting on times past. To put things simply, he despised his name. It made no sense whatsoever. He was out of place with everyone else. An oddity. A freak. Perhaps that's what spurred him on his path towards anomalies? The Scribe doubted it. His brush with the gods was what did it. Even thinking back to the night in the desert, a bad taste was left in his mouth. Whoever knew the Scribe's real name, he felt, had some kind of absurd power over him. They knew one of his darkest secrets.
The Scribe's true expression was incalculable behind his goggles, but what was incredibly apparent was that he was experiencing deep inner turmoil. After waging the odds in his mind for what seemed like a year, he nodded - tensely. "I'll... comply to your requests, Erelye. A copy of the Journal, an opportunity, and my... My name. These come with minor caveats, and once you've agreed to them, we'll be on our way." The Scribe pulled out his Journal. Its scarred eye gleamed in the dark. "You can do whatever you want with this copy. All of the information that I have written in it as of now will be included. Anything I write beyond this point will not. In addition, all of the enchantments in place over the book for my copy will hold for yours. In short, no one can touch your book without suffering severe damage, if you lose it, it will return to you in short order. No one else can read from your book without your explicit permission. You can choose to pursue or test any knowledge you find within to your leisure, and you can even add to its contents - but I'd prefer if you chose not to pursue the Gate, if you were thinking of doing so."
The Scribe tucked his Journal away. "As for my real name... I will whisper it to you, and only you. Let it be said that if you tell any other being in existence my name, I will know. And I will act. Understood?" The Scribe stood perfectly still, waiting for a response.
Far back, many blocks across the Zeroth Server, there is a shining light. It hovers at the exact point of the death of the Nuclear Throne, an artifact of immense power that governed the Wasteland, and was thought to be its salvation. The light was formed in response to the Throne's death, and persisted, doing nothing of any importance. Until now. Now, one hundred posts of charge had been dedicated to a revival of horrific proportions.
The light crackled with green electricity, a tear in space forming as the pinprick of light became a whirling, vibrating circle. The ground cracked and split open into a chasm as the green circle grew to an enormous size, degrading away at the space and time around it. Dead bits of code swirled into its mass, and with a resounding transformation, the circle repeated inwardly on itself for an eternity, becoming a fractal through space - a massive portal.
Everything within hundreds of blocks was drawn towards it. Loose bits of dirt. Dying plant life. Embers of fires and explosions waged by an eternal war. Pieces of metal and scrap. The clouds. And just as quickly as this eternal vaccuum turned on, it shut off, switching to reverse. Everything was pushed away - the skies, the earth, and what seemed to be the horizon. The ground cracked and splintered even further, shelves of dirt and stone spilling into the chasm and forming a ravine. Energy filled the air as a view materialized through the portal.
It was of a barren plain, one meant to precede a desert. It was nighttime, and the stone and dust comprising the area was rendered an unnatural shade of pale blue. The only possible light source was a campfire, but it was dying. Only faded embers sparked into the sky. Crowded around the campfire were... bodies. Bodies of fallen mutants. Each of them dull, and evidently having been expired for quite some time. Yet their forms stuck together because of the radiation that had kept them alive. They would never decompose. They were merely stuck there, in suspended animation. Wailing police sirens blared across the campfire, as troops dressed in uniform rolled out from blue portals blasting with neon lights. Their weapons were drawn, obviously expecting attack, but none came.
The police force merely surveyed the bodies, poking and kicking at them. Whatever alarm had drawn them here, it was a false one. There was nothing here of any substance except dead dreams and broken promises. The police force called for backup, and a larger blue portal formed, with all of them rolling through it in unison. Not a moment after the police force left, a terrible cry tore the landscape asunder. Swaths of purple light flashed from the sky as a gigantic shape flew through the portal and into the Zeroth Server.
The being was hideous. It was something that was once the Nuclear Throne, but had been warped past recognition. The actual throne was the only thing that was intact - but it had been ripped out of the chiseled red floor of the palace, with its superlaser jutting out of its front, leaking green energy. The red carpet was in tatters, and a shimmering mane of lime fire burned around the seat. Eight long tendrils snaked out of the throne, each with their own mouths that snapped, hissed, and sputtered. The Throne had been revived. Stitched together, after death. And it was hungry for another nuclear war.
Throne II had risen, and it flew towards the fight, seeing the World Tree in the distance.
[N BOSS] Throne II: ???,??? HP. Tentacles: ??,??? HP. (x8.) Airborne. Your Friends Were Here: III Now, They Are Dead: IIII Medusa: IIII Consume: IIII The Struggle: IIIII Is Over: IIIIIIIIIIII
Say hello to Throne II, the posthumous incarnation of the Nuclear Throne. If the Nuclear Throne was the god of nuclear warfare, Throne II is a Giant. Armed with a horrifically lethal set of attacks, the Radiation debuff that you all know and hate, and eight tentacles, this thing is one hell of a boss.
PASSIVES:
Radiation: Just like its previous incarnation, the majority of Throne II’s attacks inflict the Radiation status effect on enemies. It functions exactly the same here as it did then.
Ascendency: Throne II, due to being supercharged with radiation, is Airborne.
Through the Fire: Any attacking enemy will be inflicted with Radiation for two turns if the damage of their attack exceeds 10,000. If the attacking enemy already has Radiation, they will instead suffer (amount of damage here), increasing with the damage of their attacks. Players without leveling systems or otherwise invincible entities will instead cause Throne II to inflict Radiation on a random target belonging to the player's faction.
Hydra: If all Tentacles are not killed within three turns, they will completely regenerate.
Toxic Haze: While Throne II is on the field, the Weather changes to Toxic Haze. This overrides any and all other Weather conditions. While Toxic Haze is active, status effects cannot be dispelled or countered under nearly all circumstances.
Resignation II: Throne II creates a gigantic explosion upon death that breaks the fabric of spacetime, summoning an absolutely gargantuan portal that unleashes something for a few turns, and drops a Spoil of War - a Green Fractal.
ATTACKS:
Nuclear Decay: Throne II fires three large green orbs that split into many smaller orbs with each passing second. All of these green orbs bombard various enemies, dealing moderately high damage to three enemies. Inflicts all enemies with Radiation for four turns.
Sidewinders: Throne II fires five gigantic green orbs that hover in place. All orbs then turn into beams of infinite range, piercing across the Battlefield. Each beam will attempt to hit an enemy, but there is a 25% chance that they will miss entirely. Any entity hit with a beam will take moderately high damage. Inflicts all enemies with Radiation for two turns.
Hyper Beam: Throne II charges up its defunct superlaser, creating an all-encompassing pulse of Radiation that surges across the field. It is so slow that it will take an entire turn to reach the enemy side. During this time, it can be damaged by the enemy faction. If the Radiation pulse’s HP is depleted before the end of the turn, it will dissipate. If it is not, the pulse will deal very high damage to three enemies. Inflicts all enemies with Radiation for four turns.
Briar of Nuclearity: Throne II’s Tentacles cover the actual throne itself. The Throne is protected from all attacks for a turn. Any entities attempting to attack the Neutral faction will have a 50% chance of incurring the Tentacles’ wrath. They will snap at the offender, dealing moderately low damage.
Nucleus: Throne II condenses all the Radiation it has inflicted and compounds them into one absolutely gargantuan ball of energy, which can be used as a large heal + Regeneration buff for five turns, or an attack that does extremely high damage to a specific entity.
Emerald City: Throne II’s mane of green fire swells up, creating a torrential downpour of flame that deals high damage to an entity and Burns it for two turns. If said entity has more than two turns of Radiation, the Radiation and Burn combine to create an Acid Burn that deals even more damage.
Radiation Distribution: Throne II sends a surge of excess radiation into its tentacles, causing them to swell up, and release the radiation in the form of spit. Said spit deals moderately low damage to four entities, but has a 60% chance to inflict Radiation for five turns on all of them - if this fails, it just inflicts Radiation for two turns. The spit attacks from the tentacles do not detract from Throne II’s action in any way after Radiation Distribution is used.
SPECIAL ATTACKS:
Your Friends Were Here: Throne II concentrates intensely, utilizing the power of portals and radiation to create an unholy amalgamation of three of Nuclear Throne’s mutant protagonists, wrapped in a single entity hellbent and focused on rage. It is invincible, and Throne II will control it for the three turns it stays on the field. The entity will have powers dictated by the mutants that comprise it. Takes three turns to charge up.
Now, They Are Dead: Throne II concentrates intensely, raising an entity from the grave as a radioactive Thrall. Its stats will be adjusted to reflect its nuclear existence. Throne II cannot use this on bosses. Throne II will always prefer to raise an entity that died to either it or the original Nuclear Throne. Cannot be used on the same entity twice. If charged while the previously resurrected entity is still alive, it will instead stall, gaining charge points with each stall, allowing it to raise stronger entities. This is capped at eight points. Takes four turns to charge up.
Medusa: The tentacles of Throne II whip themselves into a frenzy, disconcertingly ogling an entity. Said entity is taken aback by the horrifying looks of the tentacles and becomes Petrified into the form of a Uranium Statue for three turns. The entity will still be able to act, but every time it does so, it takes moderately high damage. In addition, whatever the entity touches will be inflicted with Radiation for two turns. Takes four turns to charge up.
Consume: Throne II consumes an entity that has become a Uranium Statue, causing a power surge that can be used to either upgrade Throne II’s attack or give a short-term power boost. Upgrades/power boosts gained depend on the power of the entity consumed. Takes four turns to charge up.
The Struggle: Throne II’s entire body tenses up, its green radiation spiking with powerful energy to become a searing pink glow. Throne II becomes one with hyper light, creating ring upon ring of pure bullet hell that screams across the Battlefield, drifting eons of patterns behind it. This matrix of bullet hell deals extremely high damage to two entities upon use and persists for a turn afterwards. While it is active, Throne II has an 80% chance of drifting out of the way of any and all attacks. Takes five turns to charge up.
Is Over: Throne II’s entire body tenses up, turning into a living nuclear bomb. As the ultimate artifact in nuclear weaponry, this is one nuke that isn’t underpowered. The result is an atomic cloud that stretches past the height of the Incarnate and levels the entire battlefield, one-shotting an entity and dealing obliteratingly high damage to three others. All entities are inflicted with Radiation for seven turns, with the Weather persisting as Toxic Haze for said time and the Terrain becoming Wasteland for said time. Wasteland purges all life within a large radius, making a pack of Bandits spawn every turn. Is Over suicides Throne II upon use, preventing it from using Resignation II, though said attack’s effects will activate upon the conclusion of Wasteland’s effects. Takes twelve turns to charge up.
I start three new charges.
