...No, it was not. I've been asleep for a while. It could have been future me, but I'd never thought of the idea in the first place, so that makes that unlikely. Toast and Ette are in battle... which really only leaves... The Operative?

She ignores the fact that she didn't get a pillow of her own, and crosses her legs thoughtfully.

Upon being whacked with the Over Easy, Toast's ashes begin to shuffle around a bit. There's a few popping sounds, which slowly get louder and louder until... BOOM! They burst into an orange inferno! Before long, they also die, and in their wake stands Toast.

...I'm gonna feel that in the morning... however that works in the mindscape. (Is there even a sun? I don't know.) Although on the plus side, being critically stabbed by a creepy glitchy bandage man has been successfully crossed off my bucket list~

Toast moves to E5 and attacks Sac1, following that up with an Antimatter Explosive.

Not gonna spice it up more than I need to, but this turn'll be hell if we don't play our cards right. Here are some general orders. Naturally, if you can do more than that, you should. If you're not mentioned here and haven't been ordered otherwise, just act as you would normally. Focus damage on Sac2, Feducci and the SANTA-NK.

@Chlorin, :shoot: me with a Fire-element bullet, to help me revive quicker/without dying horribly.

@Cyan, Revive jon pls.

@Jon, whack me with the Over Easy, for the same reasons as Chlorin shooting me.

@literally anyone that's not using an item this turn, revive teag using a Life Bottle, so that he can set up his sentry/sentries (this really is the perfect map for it).

@Pricey, Use Firebomb at L13, and make sure that Temcey does the exact same thing.

@Insert, Cast a Fire-element beam on the dudes in the top left corner.

@Author: Please Melody the Temmie Hero.

@Gladius: Ingest the Sugared Petal or whatever, something to restore MP. Then, use Pyrokinesis on the tem Hero to move tem to J13.

Temmie Hero, after all of this, will be adjacent to Smithy, and will have Melody, meaning, double action. Tem Hero proceeds to unleash two Temfists and two Spinning Flakes upon Smithy, annihilating that steel-made gorilla off the face of the Mindscape, for his shortsighted belief that internships with Chaos end in anything other than dying horribly 999999999 times out of 1000000000. (the 1 outlier is Zetta, who isn't an intern.) If nothing else, Smithy will be very, very injured.

I step down to H1 before chucking the Firebomb at L13 before moving to F9 also, Temcey moves to H1 before chucking the Firebomb at L13 again for double blasts before hopping back to H8.

DarkSide moves to (L14) and uses Regeneration, pulling out a canister of Hogdrogen; one of Roadhog's healing canisters; and inhaling it because that may as well be what the spell is for me. He also throws a Life Bottle at (M13), where Teag rises again!

The DarkSide Clone decides to go to the Clearing in Zone 1, to hopefully make a lake. He makes sure the teleporter is sufficiently out of the way by moving it over to the literal corner of the zone if it's not already there, and placing the Package of Explodium and a Cinder Fruit on the edge somewhere between the exact opposite corner of the teleporter and the center of the zone. This is likely where the Grenade Crater is.

He grabs a bit of Rope, places one end on the Explodium, and the other end some distance away. He lights the far end, and it burns down the rope. He freaking bolts it to the side the teleporter is on.
"Fire in the hole!"
After a few seconds, the entire package explodes massively, making a rather large hole in the ground, fit for a lake.

The clone then takes Macross, and fires missiles from the giant hole, past the Great Tree, and directly towards the river, in a meandering pattern to simulate another river connecting the original river to the lake. The lake begins to fill up. The clone decides to create a drain-off point off the side of the island from the lake to prevent the place from flooding. If it was necessary, anyway.

He then places down a few longs to act as benches near the newly created lake, and starts fishing there. Again, with woodworms.
Gotta love Terrarian fishing rods; able to fish in any substance you wish. Including water (Well, nerfed water, like that shown here in Recollection Woods).

Battle: Firstly, react to Ette's defensive cuddle by making an odd purring noise, then look kind of confused at self. Then, the following conditional - Is Smithy dead yet? If no: Run up to him, smack him in the face with a flaming katana, run to "not near Fedduci". If yes: Run up to E4, attack the sac with the same flaming katana, run off to G6 and mock the Santa NK1 for his terribly inaccurate basic attack.

Out of battle: Operative notes down what happened mentally, deciding he might want to ask somebody about it later, then heads back to Near The Summit to check on how people there are doing. And also because going straight from one encounter with a weird entity to another encounter just like that might be a bit much.

<TURN TWO-HUNDRED AND TWENTY-ONE>
After a rather long saga involving homework, blood, and fainting, I'm finally here to dop. Whew.

Alt brings it to Marron's attention that maybe the Operative was the one who gave her the pillow. She shrugs.

tc: I'm not sure why he'd do that.

What he finds is a world like no other. While I'd describe it, the new Map of Zone 5 has a somewhat detailed description of the place. So go there. And die. Darkside, on a less suicidal note, sends his clone to the Clearing in Zone 1. He uses the Package of Explodium, a Cinder Fruit, and some Macross Missiles to create both a river and a gigantic crater! Which then becomes a Crater Lake. Cloneside celebrates his triumph by casting his line into the lake. He pulls 7 Bass, and a Crimson Tigerfish! It must have something to do with the Crimstone Caveplug that Chaos had here earlier. The Operative then goes to check on the people at that place Near the Summit. Marron immediately hops down from the tree, tosses her pillow to Toast, and then runs towards the Operative.

tc: Sup. Toast thinks that the pillow was you.
tc: Care to explain yourself...?
tc: Oh, how's sis doing? I should probably ask. Is she hurt?

...Voices fly from the portal in the Creature Testing Chamber. They sound garbled and static-y.

A few important things:
1. Mari is on Death's Door. If she takes one more hit, she'll suffer from a minor case of permanent death. Try and avoid this. Standing within Range 1 of her and using an action will pull her out of there, safely and in one piece. She'll recover, don't you worry... assuming you get her out of there.
2. The Line is here to screw with your bullets. The first six ranged attacks will have their bullets become Projectiles; read up on them in his entry! This won't apply to cones as I don't even want to think about how to process that.

In combat, the Operative immediately goes wide-eyed when he sees Mari almost get killed in the battle. He immediately runs over to check on her, notes the severe lack of health that she's suffering from, and immediately frowns. Then, crouching down to pick her up in both arms, he turns to Chloe.

"I'll handle this. Me and her might not be on the best of terms with each other, but I'm not tolerating any permanent deaths happening to anyone on the same team."

He then proceeds to rocket off into the sky, carrying Mari with him, landing down outside of the battle, sprinting away to carry her back to the MW Anti. Darkside can handle the healing operation from there. Just in case what he does isn't enough, Op also sets aside some Eggnog for Mari to drink and restore health off of.


Out of combat, The Operative greets Marron with a little wave, then sighs as she requests an explanation. It seems like he was hoping not to have to give one, but now that he does...

"There are a few reasons why I did what I did, but not many important ones. Of those that are, well... Firstly, you were sleeping in a tree. Generally, people don't sleep the most comfortably when resting their head on a tree branch. Thus, pillow, comfier sleep. Secondly, I can tell the adventure we've all been on is gonna end sometime soon, so I might as well try and do a few things to be remembered in a more positive light. And, thirdly... well, heh. I heard that comment you made earlier. To be honest, I can't help but agree with you on that one. But, hey. Might be able to try for friends, at least. Even if it's probably not going to work."

Then, he pauses, glancing over towards the battle.

"I'm not gonna lie to you, Ette's probably seen better days. Little side note thing that I'm sure you'll be at least a little interested in, Mari's been downed, so I'm in the process of getting her out of there. Now, I'm not suggesting that you might wanna join the battle, but you might wanna join the battle. Just... maybe wait until after the massive zombie and her swarm of minions have been cleared out. That should be about to happen in this part of the battle..."
