Action 2 + Lucky Infinity: Kalis throws a lemon at the Vamprobabilitant Commander. It scores a citrical hit.

(I'm sorry, that's the worst pun I've made in a while.)

Action 3 + Magic Staff: Kalis's array of magical butlers and maids clean the Futon with such fervor that it ends up trampled in the process. (What? That's totally what "Magic Staff" means.)

Mirror Kalis moves to D9, then curves themself into a concave shape, focusing the light of the sun on the Futon and setting it on fire.

"Nothing to say now that you're clearly losing?"

[3x] and uses his command over plants to collapse the trees along the topmost row of the map, creating a line of barricades to cut off the Vamprobabilitant Commander's escape options if they survive reaching 0 HP and plan to run. The A.Supporter's tile is kindly excluded from this. they aren't strong barricades by any means, but enough to slow down an exhausted, fleeing foe.

Seeing the commander under a hail of attacks, John moves to i7, preparing to take down the Futon for certain.

Action 1+2+3: Setting the Standard Issue Poe Co Handgun Model Red to "Chill", he fires a beam of pure laziness at the Futon. It is now instilled with a sudden urge to watch various internet based streaming services instead of battle.

Jeff Orders:
...Jeff has no orders. He's doing just fine where he is.

<TURN 4>

As the battle winds down, you become slowly more aware of a rumbling sound. The Vamprobabilitant Commander stumbles towards the exit, only to be blocked as the trees slowly creak and fall thanks to JOE's quick thinking.

V. COMMANDER: Ahahahahahah....
V. COMMANDER: Trying to take me alive, eh?
V. COMMANDER: Or maybe just trying to kill me...?
V. COMMANDER: ...You're too late.
V. COMMANDER: It's already begun...

A wave of searing greyish-purple erupts from the edge of the forest, knocking you off your feet. A splitting headache envelops you, and the vamprobabilitant commander limps forward weakly.


V. COMMANDER: Yes! YES! Lord Axinite has done it!
V. COMMANDER: He's... He's done it...

The Commander drops to his knees.

V. COMMANDER: It... is done...
V. COMMANDER: ...hahaha...
V. COMMANDER: ....Ahahahaha...
V. COMMANDER: ...AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!

The Vamprobabilitant Commander dies laughing.

Suddenly, your weapons begin to decay, rust, and rot to nothingness. Or maybe they don't, actually, depends on if you're planning to make a custom weapon. Regardless, the group regroups in the Teleportation Station as their entities, items, and weapons fade away, surrounded by that strange grey aura. There appear to be some experimental weapons, armors, and trinkets here as well... perhaps you can use them to replace your lost items?

The Projection has Spectral and is unaffected by tile effects.
The Projection fades away after running out of MP, and loses at least N MP per round; it cannot regain MP externally.

Regardless, he used to go by JJJ. He was late for his history test, which he was going to ACE now because of his new contacts. He had that illegal pogo stick and children's shotgun (the latter being legal. The former... not so much).

But then History changed. Lord Anixite... well, I'm not gonna say won. He did something, okay. And you know what that something was? He BROKE THIS SMALL CHILD'S TOYS! Like, "WHAT THE HECK?"

...Was that dialogue? No no no. Couldn't have been. JJJ doesn't use- "Ran through my sign collection too." Oof. I stand corrected. "Had my History notes in there." What a shame.

But now, standing in the Teleportation Station, with all these lovely spells and weapons around him, JJJ realizes he doesn't have to be JJJ anymore. He can be more. He can live up to his most favorite historical figure of all time. He can become the Hero King of Legend. Tipper Man Himself. With the Infinite Grab Range in Melee.

That's right. We're talking about MARF, JJJ's historical idol! Because Marf is a real person who really lived in a historical setting that is real. Definitely.

JJJ scrambles around the room like a kid in a candy store, grabbing random gizmos and gadgets that seem like the sort of thing his Hero would choose. After combing his hair to into properly 4D Anime spikes, JJJ presents himself to the group, shining in his new swag.

Black lightning flashes in the sky. That's not exactly a normal lightning colour, nor is it a good sign in any way, shape, or form. Especially when it suddenly picks up a lot in intensity.

One streak of black lightning abruptly changes direction and arcs straight into a plot of grass right next to the teleportation station. There's a person standing there. Well, a "person". It's pretty obvious that several things are horribly wrong with this person. The air around them seems charged with static electricity, yet also lifeless. And just being near the new arrival is way to feel tension building...

Then, he grins wide and turns to the nearest person, empty eye sockets staring into their soul.

"Hello there."

Kalis watches the new character sheet unfold before them. Shenanigans still seem to be present, so they're glad they took a bit of time to learn them, but this... this is much more familiar to them.

Out of who knows where, a beam if radiant, glowing light shoots down from the sky and into the room. Its colors sheen with the colors of the rainbow, glowing too bright to see through until it suddenly dims to reveal... a young girl flipped upside down crashed against one of the walls, having somehow gotten entangled with several of the equipment items within the vicinity, along with a couple boxes they had been stored in. She even seems to have crashed so that she accidentally put on a set of robes that seem intended for healing, and is presently clutching onto a strange, buggy harp thing. "What the? Where am I, who are all of you?.. wait... who am I?" She then looks up at the rest of her body, and sees the robes and harp now adorning her. "Oh... Ah... yes..." She then scrambles to her feet, seemingly trying to look dignified all of a sudden. "I am the great healing goddess Periala, and it seems some force has finally unsealed me from within that dreadfully bland little girl... Although it seems like my form remained somewhat similar to hers" she says as she looks back over herself. "In any case, you lot seem like... some kind of heroes. What is your quest, and can I aide thou?" She says, clearly trying to sound important and ancient.

There's not much time for small-talk, though- as the party regroups, you hear a commotion from beyond the trees.

???: Help! Help!
???: Someone, anyone, please! I require assistance!

Following the calls for help, the party emerges in what appears to be a small campsite. A large, intricately carved wooden caravan stands a little ways away. More immediately relevant, however, is the wise-looking elderly man standing in front of the caravan defensively- blocking a rowdy mob of robots from encroaching further upon the space.

OLD MAN: Ho there, traveller!
OLD MAN: I implore you- help me fend off these ruffians!

Looks like that old man is in some sort of trouble- and those robots are causing it. You should probably help him out. Battle- Caravan Campsite unlocked!

[Pre-battle minor respec:
Weakness/Resistance Allocations, which I forgot to do, are:
Crushing Resist(10%). Ice Weakness(30%). Fire Resistance(10%).
and I take 1 point out of DEF into AGI because Odd-numbered DEF is useless.

Oh! and I pick up Null Somnum for free.]

[BATTLE]
JOE strides into the battle and then comes to a stop on E15. Standing there, he calls upon the air and aspects of the natural world- not its plant life, but the frosty influence of its skies, bringing together a construct of wind and snow, a nearly-inviolable swirling mass that embodies a single aspect- cold.

JOE then turns and directs his focus east. That cover... is made of fallen logs. At this distance, and with dead wood, the influence is far more costly than it should be, and halting besides, but with the life charging him from the earth below, there is power enough to revitalise them; logs regaining their life and sprouting new branches, filling Q10 and P9 with arboreal obstruction. It won't stand up to any serious assault, of course, but it'll still hamper the efforts of the trio already within the ring to attack the Caravan.

At the end of the round, life courses up through land into him, replenishing his divine powers and spilling out into the weeds around him, which rise up as thick as trees; Forests spring up in some of the non-spawn tiles in range.


[WORLD] in the meantime, a mote of his divine attention focuses on the Automaton Supporter. He can't speak to it while in combat, not until his powers adapt to this field enough to form an arboreal avatar, but a tiny scrap of spare power makes a small bulb form on one of the nearby trees, then slowly bloom into a flower.
...hopefully that's taken as more of a positive interaction thing and not spontaneous poison death threats or something.

Kalis spawns on G15 and moves to J11. They cast Aerobeam, using Spellshaping to change its damage type to Dark. It travels 5 squares straight up, hitting Bmaton4, AUtoton1, BMaton6 with Turning Turbulence bonus, then turns to travel due left, hitting AUtoton2.

If AUtoton1 is alive at 9 or less HP, Kalis cast Cherry Energy on it as many times as is required to kill it. (Note that this is Chargeless and therefore the damage does not fill their special, though the mana expenditure does.) Then if BMaton4 is alive, Kalis casts Cherry Energy on it once. Then if Kalis has any free casts of Cherry Energy remaining, they cast it on BMaton1 4 times, which should kill it.

Kalis then retreats to J12.

As a shenanigan, Kalis spends 1 red mana to cast Lightning Bolt, putting it on the stack, but holds priority, not allowing it to resolve. In computer science, a stack is a data structure in which the most recent remaining item added is the only one which can be removed, and doing so is called "popping" from the stack. When Toast pops, the Lightning Bolt will come off the stack and strike... one of the Toasts. I'm not sure which would make more sense tbh.

Er... I miss-ed things. Me bad.

The Pause Menu - 30% Magic Resist = Psychic. (THANK GOD, WE CAN FINALLY STOP PLAYING!)

Midnight Cloak - 20% Magic Resist = Fire. (Also known as DRAGON DAMAGE!)

A CARAVAN! JJJ is truly feeling LEGENDARY now! Caravans are like- so old! They went extinct after people invented the minivan! Just like how caraguns went extinct after they invented the minigun! So extinct, in fact, you've never heard of a caragun!

(For those interested, a caragun was a bunch of guns taped together. You could spin the handles around and fire each pre-loaded bullet quite quickly. The minigun, however, did this much more efficiently.)

[SPAWN] JJJ excitingly jumps to G16, before-

[MOV] -anime running to K16. His torso is almost horizontal. He's got his sword swinging around in front of him. Cape billowing behind. Like- is that legal? I don't think that's how running works.

But he somehow comes to a clean stop, instantly standing in a dramatic pose, his sword pointed down, glowing with light.

[BONUS ACTION + 15 MP] JJJ points his sword to the sky and shouts "This is it!"

Critical energy surges from his fingertips, blessing Flail-Chion with holy MP and imbuing the legendary blade with... SWORD BEAMS!

-Not to be confused with Skyward Slashes, of course. Or all those sci-fi beam swords. No. This. Is. HISTORY!!!

[ACTION] JJJ looks at the small clutch of enemies hiding behind those logs. They're all so metal and boring. Except...

JJJ smiles as his eyes fall upon the Toast. He forgot BREAKFAST TODAY! How is he supposed to ace that History test on an empty stomach?

Channeling his hunger, JJJ crouches, winding his sword arm up like a Falcon Punch as he points his other arm at the burnt bread. His whole body shakes with exertion, and he seems to glow even bluer than before, as if that's even possible.

-Actually, I don't think that's glowing. I think he's suffocating. He's holding his breath too long! Somebody HELP HIM! He's going to di-

"YAAAAAAH!" JJJ screams as he thrusts his arm forward, releasing that choking breath. His body glows yellow with holy energy as the beam shoots outward, twinkling with crit boxes as it flies at its foe. The Sword Beam collides with the Toast at JJJ's MAX SNIPER RANGE, blasting through the slice of Toast with a ferocious... slice. Yeah, that.

-Do you prefer triangles or straight down the middle? Honest question there. We'll take a poll. I'm a monster. I cut bread straight down the middle. Better for pulled pork and the like, I feel. Crust doesn't bother me, either. Actually quite useful for wiping up sunny-side eggs-

[SHENANI-ONCE] (if allowed? It says it's a Bonus Action...?) JJJ shouts over at the Old Man. "Hey, you look old and knowledgeable. Do you think you can help me study for my history test?"

JJJ's gonna assume that was a yes. "Here, we'll trade wisdoms! I learned this one back in the '80's!" As though he was around that long.

"It's dangerous to go alone! Take this!" JJJ raises his empty hand, conjuring three magical triangles above his head. They triangles meet so that their vertexes touch, creating a hole in the center. From that hole, a boring sword flies, launching itself to the Old Man.

"I owed you that one back!" JJJ continues to shout. "Now we're even!" As though a boring sword can help the wizard...

[RETREAT] But JJJ is too busy to care about how "effective" his actions are. He's already on the move! Breaking out of his triangle pose, JJJ rolls (not like How to Roll roll. Just flavor roll) over to M16, taking cover behind those fancy sittin' log. A throne worthy of a TRUE KING if JJJ does say so himself.

Ruffians. Like the ones that ruffle your hair?

Luckily, I do not have hair [Citation Needed].

According to the expert plan that involves everyone going literally insane [good strategy, by the way], Lun'Kla must do its best to disable these so called... "Ruffians" from existence.

{Spawn/Move/Action} Lun'Kla spawns on G16 and moves to J14 and casts Flare on N12, blinding the sensors of the... surprisingly inorganic creatures. [How boring, not even mortals to... do things with.]

It'd be... Too interesting if someone died this quickly, after all. These fellow aliens really need to learn how to dodge. [Just ignore the robotic slaughter going on 5 tiles north.]

{Shenanigans Bonus Action} Lun'Kla picks up a pebble, taking a small pause to study its alien features, before chucking it thoughtlessly, hitting Btomaton 3, which bounces off harmlessly.

I'd say oops, but that really isn't a concern on Lun'Kla's mind, so they instead throw another pebble at Btomaton 3, to make it look like it was on purpose. [Definitely not a secret plan at all.]

Battle - Caravan Campsite

Hangman senses an opportunity. Sadly the automatons are just automatons, so they won't be quite as... fun, but they're still killable by the look of it, so he'll make do with those for now.

Hangman spawns on G15, moving to J11. He grins past Bmaton4, directing his focus at AUtoton1.

"Do you machines know fear? Can you feel your imminent demise?"

Then, he casts Static Overcharge on AUtoton1 and vibes, waiting to see what happens next. He doesn't exactly feel threatened by the robots closer to him, though only time will tell if he should.

Periala looks... honestly kinda irritated. "There's no one around for me to heal?! ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE ME FEEL USELESS? YEAH, JERALD, I'M TALKING TO YOU!" She begins stamping impatiently a bit, almost like she forgot this was a battle, not a LARP session, for a moment. Wonder why. Regardless, she then notices the distinction, and realizes that people are actually charging into battle.

[MOVE] Therefore, she runs up to J13 from spawning (like over half the party) on G15.

[Action] She then proceeds to play her magic harp, making a sound like a fan blowing entirely too fast while melting, and casts the spell: Guardian Classic, on herself, Lun'Kla, Kalis, and Hangman. "There, you are now under my protection. You may bow down at my gracious benevolence later."

[Shenanigan] As she played the absolutely mesmerizing music from her harp, the robots nearby would have a hard time drowning it out. Those which actually hear it also gain a nice little programming glitch, in which they become convinced that she, is in fact, a goddess. What does this do? Dunno, I'm not the DM. I'm just the one writing this bit down.

[Retreat] Why would she? This is unquestionably the safest place to be within a 1 square radius.

John rushes onto the battlefield to defend the caravan, spawning in on G15 and immediately sprinting to K15 to line up his shots.

John: More robots?
John: Seriously?
John: Alright, fine. Scrap metal time.

John pulls the Standard Issue Poe Co Handgun Model Red (Presently set to Fire damage) from its holster and attacks the Btomaton3. Spending 8 MP, he triggers Toxin Coating (Burning), wanting to ensure the Btomaton3 takes some additional damage.

<TURN 6>

JOE summons a flower! While his weatherling is very cool and impressive, the Automaton Supporter is clearly the most important thing in Shellestokar. It seems... slightly more pacified. Hooray?

JJJ is empowered by HISTORY! What a nice caravan. It's almost like he's on some kind of LEGENDARY ADVENTURE that will shape the future of this society for eons to come!

Before he can do anything like that, though, he needs to study for his History Test! And this old man is probably a good candidate...

OLD MAN: ...I suppose I could try... I can't really promise results, unfortunately.

Hangman attempts to intimidate the AUtomatons!

...It doesn't work. The AUtomaton tilts its head at him, very much confused. Maybe the AUtomatons aren't programmed to feel fear for some reason? That'd be really dumb, though. Or maybe it's actually really smart. Can't have deserters if your army isn't scared to die.

CARAVAN CAMPSITE, ROUND 2:

Pretty good round, all things considered! Hangman is around half health and Kalis is also moderately hurt, but you've taken out most of the robots and are now free to focus on Toast and Jelly. More robots might be appearing soon, though.
