Ah, rifts. Always popping up and messing with reality from time to time. Could be worse though, where I'm from we have special training classes for children prone to accidentally making black holes and such, which is about 1 in 4 of the youth. One time a neutron star popped up in my toilet bowl out of nowhere; turned out my cousin was throwing a tantrum.

Well, FF, when that happens, we just isolate the misbehavers and get the hell out until the brat's punishment is over. Not that different to other kindergartens, except in this case, the brats have to stew in a cosmic storm that they made because they tried to attack the caretakers with it and failed miserably.

It's still really dangerous, though, so the local law enforcement has to designate it a quarantine zone. If you did get in (not happening), you'd be blasted by solar flares, "small" black holes, gamma ray bursts and way more catastrophes. One time some kids got out, though, and... well, everyone in the city had to band together to prevent the whole country getting turned to dust.

Our worlds generally take a while for children to come into their power and majesty. At least reasonable biological adults before the magic levels start getting transcosmic.

Ah, well, they usually grow out of it. Besides, the people who concentrate on the destructive stuff don't really have useful, practical skills. Inverse Law of Utility and Lethality, and all that. Being able to make black holes from nowhere is cool and would definitely help you win a death match, but you can't do useful stuff with it like light your house or cook food.

Besides, I think it's best to concentrate on a broad range of abilities, like how I studied manipulating all of the fundamental forces. I'm not good enough with gravity to make a black hole, but summoning nuclear lightning by channeling protons is awesome. And at the end of the day, I can turn off the lights without a switch!
