I'm not exactly sure what you plan on getting out of a conversation with the Snobmodder... but oh well. "Even your speech now is based on a linear, consistent world. We can reject the idea of that and follow the idea of the observer, where aspects are in flux not under observation. Consider the following 'paradox'..." He then gets out a little grey book that he has earmarked and starts reading from it. "On Tuesday, X crosses a deserted road and loses nine copper coins. On Thursday, Y finds in the road four coins, somewhat rusted by Wednesday's rain. On Friday, Z discovers three coins in the road. On Friday morning, X finds two coins in the corridor of his house." Then he takes a moment to memorize the next passage before snapping the book shut dramatically. "The very language of an observer based world would resist this formation. The verbs 'find' and 'lose' beg the question. They presuppose the identity of the... uh..." Faltering, he opens the book again to the same page and re-reads it before snapping it shut dramatically, again. "They presuppose the identity of the first and last of the nine coins. We can differentiate equality and identity. If nine people experienced pain on nine successive nights, it would be ridiculous to say that they all experienced the 'same' pain, just like it is ridiculous to say they have 'experienced' the same coin." Post Post Scriptum: I think you missed the joke of the 1984 thing.
3,500 spirit damage to Anna, 3,000 to Victor, 1,500 to Yvonne, and +3,000 to Harry. END OF RESPONSES. EOTB: First off, because it's mildly annoying me, the Snobmodder shows all the explorer's a firecracker, which inspires them all ever so slightly. They all gain +1 spirit just so we're back on round numbers. Harry, now with level 4 in rogue, takes out his pistol and shoots at Yvonne, dealing 8,500 damage and pushing the AS side towards aggressive and giving him +1 XP. All the explorers gain +1 XP every time they try to attack. (5,000 base damage, +500 * 4 from rogue, *1.25 from attitude = 8,750, rounded to 8,500). Being pretty bad at friendly, Anna uses her love of electricity to intimidate Harry, dealing 5,000 spirit damage to him because Naturalist boosts speech defense, not attack. She also levels up and gains a new rank in Naturalist. Victor and Yvonne, despite just getting shot, both plead with Harry to end this cycle of violence these civil war type situations start. However, being a rogue, Harry distracts Victor again, this time by using mage hand to put itching powder into his hair. Yvonne still deals 5,500 damage to him, though, and levels up. The Snobmodder takes his three explorers aside and gives them all a lecture about the philosophy behind some of the greatest explorers of all time, like Leaf Erikson, De Gama, and Columbus. However, it is so boring that they all just leave and go look under some rocks because it is more exciting than listening to him. By the time they return, they've all gained +3 XP and the Snobmodder just barely has finished his rant. That's the end of this turn, but I'm going to reveal the summoning pool later. At least, that's the plan. So stay tuned. "Well, your position may be valid, but it's a very strange way of talking... not useful for everyday life, and more likely to confuse. as a general rule, I'd say not to talk that way except in highly theoretical discussions, where it really changes things." post scriptum: I don't know, I'm just talking to him because wallnuts. I sit down on one of the many shady spots of the Rogue guild and spot Harry visiting once more. Beckoning in his direction, I give a long talk on the stereotypical attitudes and mindset that many Rogues and Prestige classes of the line used to further give an even further depth to their Rogueness. Of course, the mindset that one takes will determine what road a rogue shall he travel on. A road that known but not traveled as often would be a path of villainy, where a rogue still is somewhat aggressive but gain a new level of deviousness along them. The talk didn't go much further on the prestige classes like the Villains but was one of the highlights in the talk.
At the end of it all, tools for infiltration were given and Harry sets out to past the rookie mission and moves up to the novice level quest that usually involves burglaries on low nobility. 4/30 EP Originally posted on 2018-05-22 03:37:00 |

Okay, because there aren't too many posts this turn, I won't do an update and instead post rules for summoning. This is probably the biggest thing I wanted to test, and hopefully it won't be too complicated.
The Snobmodder does a little dancing flourish to step back towards his massive tent, and once he gets there, he stands to attention. "Now, I believe that all should have a chance to hear my prognostications, so what better way than have you guys bring people to me?" You're not quite sure if this is going to have the intended effect. But without further ado, he pulls on a large rope to open the tent flap. However, he didn't rig up the ropes properly, and instead he pulls the entire tent over on top of himself. Under the sea of red fabric, there's a slight glow of turquoise light and sounds of splashing, and in a moment, it grows as the Snobmodder whips the fabric out. Under it, is a pool, embedded into the ground and shining soft light. Don't ask me how the explorers transported this here because the answer is beyond your mortal comprehension. Welcome, to the Summoning Pool. Now for the rules here... Also mostly copied from my Google Doc... Creation Rules 3: Once per turn, you can assist two different entity ideas in the Creation Pool. That increases their charges by one each. Once a charge is full, the entity is summoned at the end of the turn under the control of the person who originally submitted the idea. 4: Once an entity is summoned, it will remain on the battlefield until it dies or the summoner orders it to retreat. It acts once per turn, commanded by its summoner. But entities are not very good at damaging The Snobmodder. Once an entity is defeated, it cannot be resummoned unless you make some flavor/mechanics changes. 5: More creative entity ideas will likely get small stat boosts (at my discretion). Plus, if I see a really creative idea in the Creation Pool, I may pitch in some assists to it, or even offer to buy it outright in exchange for EP towards the entity’s owner. Me buying an entity idea will remove it from the Creation Pool and place it on my .txt document of future potential minions. 6: You might also come across Assist Tokens as rewards for doing certain feats. You can spend a token during a post to increase the charge of any entity by the value of the token. If you spend it on someone else’s entity, it’s twice as effective. Example Entities [/spoiler] So this is a system you can use to summon entities. Also, to kick start things (heh), everybody starts with an assist token worth 10 assists. Let's see if this works at all. Let me just make one thing clear, EP cannot be converted into assists. You do not use EP to summon entities. I sat on the ground. Curses, this Snobmodder is fast. Fast, and learned.
I made a less platonically ideal chair to sit in. At this point in time, tush comfort was still important to me. The next thing I did was attempt to break open a shipping crate. I wasn't exactly told as to what sort of shipments these were, and I didn't think they would care. Besides, I can just find out a way to put whatever I took back into the box. So, without further ado, I focused my mind onto one of the shipping traits. I imagined the nails holding it together coming apart. I then opened my eyes. 8/30 Originally posted on 2018-05-23 00:44:00 -------------------- |

Um... I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to do. You define a charge level, and that can be any number between 10 and 30. I mean... I can add it to the list as a 10 assist level entity.
"Are you sure about this? I picked pockets to survive, but this isn't for survival." Regardless, Harry gains +6 XP. And he levels up, again, gaining a level in rogue and beguiler as well as gaining the ability to 'overcharge' his attacks. Each turn he spends with sniper shot off cooldown, it deals 20% more damage the next time he uses it, up to +60%. He's getting close to maxing out on rogue levels... at least if we go by original game rules. New side quest: Develop street rat Harry into a crime lord. ... I guess.
More arcane mastery gives Harry an additional +2 XP. You also have found Anna's emotional weakness. Now to viciously exploit it. You deal 6,000 spirit. It also reduces the aggressive meter on the AS side.
Those are definitely words you would use to describe the Snobmodder. You open your eyes... and the shipping crate is still there. You glance around in confusion for a little while, and when you turn back, the crate is disassembled. Though, maybe that was because the Snobmodder took pity on you and disassembled the crate while you weren't looking. Inside, alongside a bunch of random useless stuff like food or raw materials, there's a tiny windup tank with a remote control. Looks like it might be able to actually deal some damage... 2,000 damage per turn, to be exact. And now that there are player controlled entities, I need to mark that... END OF RESPONSES Reminder... you can submit something to the Creation Pool without spending anything. It doesn't cost any EP or actions or anything. Then, each turn, you can add +1 assist to two different entities in the creation pool. Harry whips out his pistol and shoots Yvonne again. You know, so that he can be the only beguiler on the battlefield. Plus, if Yvonne levels up enough, she starts gaining rouge ranks, and we can't have that. He hits for 9,000 damage. Well, technically, his damage level was over 9000, but it rounded down. Victor and Yvonne both flank Harry and trap him in a minute to talk about our lord and savior, the Snobmodder! OH THE HORROR! He takes 10,500 spirit damage from this. And while he's distracted by this, Anna charges up her Tesla rod and jabs it into Harry's neck, dealing 6,000 damage. The Snobmodder doesn't seem too pleased with what has been happening. You want a more villainous villain? Well, I'll give it to you! ... You know... halfway through writing this, I realized this might just be the absolute darkest piece I've ever written for DTG, and that's kinda hilarious. "Are people not respecting me? They don't... listen. They don't hear. But I've been so kind to them... Or... I've tried. ... I can't." He got an odd look in his eyes and slowly, ever so slowly, walked over to Harry, who looked at him curiously. "Have you ever read The Death of Baldur?" He wasn't speaking like he normally does. He was much more focused, exact, and precise with his words, as though he was playing darts on a dictionary. Harry rolled his eyes. "Where is this go-" But before he could ask, the Snobmodder interrupted him anyway. "It's a drama that tells of the death of the Nordic god of light and truth and all that. I something I learned was that the Nordic gods were so much more... heroic than their contemporaries. The Greek and Roman gods were so much more petty, but the Nordic ones had a sense of righteousness. Do you know why that is?" "Um... No?" "They were weaker. They did not have the same virtue of power. Chivalry is not a trait of the strong. There must be a force to stand against. St. George needs a mighty dragon to fight, one stronger than him." He stood aloof, facing away from Harry with his hands behind his back. "So... that is what inspires kindness-frailty, weakness, destruction. I have long tried to come to grips with this, with how, to the true gods among us, a tragedy is nothing more than a comedy. Only the mortals can suffer, and understand that heroism." Harry shifted his weight backwards, getting nervous. "What are you trying to get at?" "What I mean, is that I envy you, Harry Walker. You are so much luckier than me, struggling through tragedy with your past and your fate. So show me. Show me what only a mortal can understand." And all he saw next was a flash of steel. The Snobmodder, swift as an arrow, whirled around, dagger in hand, and with a flick of his wrist, sent it singing through the air. And with a sickening thunk, it buried itself into Harry's upper thigh, causing him to scream and collapse to his knees. He could feel a wave of nothingness seeping through his body, radiating from the wound like a blooming flower. He couldn't feel his leg, much less move it. Then the Snobmodder, now with a much less fitting name, walked up to Harry and knelt to be on his eye level. "You will understand in due time, if you survive this encounter, that is. And then, you will thank me for showing you, showing the world, what someone like you is truly capable of." Unfortunately, Harry was a bit busy trying to maintain consciousness to come up with any kind of retort. With disturbing calmness, the Snobmodder set his fist to his chin in a mocking 'thinking' pose. "Let us forge the tragedy in your heart, and show me what I could never learn." He then met Harry's eyes and set his hand on the dagger's hilt. Then, with excruciating slowness, started to twist the serrated blade in the wound, letting muffled screams of pain be heard from around the battlefield. "I want you to feel this, feel every last bit of flesh tearing, every last neuron breaking apart, all joining together for their hero's song of agony. Remember this, won't you? It will serve you so well." Once he finished his rotation and the grass below them was painted with blood, the Snobmodder pulled the dagger out almost as quickly as it went it, causing one last wince to cross Harry's face as he looked up at the blood drenched blade. "Embrace this. You will only climb higher from here." And as one last insult, the Snobmodder climbed back to his feet and kicked Harry in the chest, causing him to fall over backwards. And with that, he left as slowly as he arrived, albeit with the other three explorers giving him a look of 'what the **** was that?'. They all seem to have taken spirit damage from watching that... From all this, Harry has taken 25,000 damage and become paralyzed, meaning he acts last next turn, and has a 50% miss chance for anything he does. This has definitely set the PS mood to aggressive. You might want to deal with that. ... HAH. That took a while to write. That does it.
"Heroes aren't born from tragedy, they are tested. A man once said, 'three spears go to war and break. Did the war forge that spear?' No. Nonsense. If anything, it made it weaker. Tragedy alters things from their original course. Even though that one spear survived the war, it would still be damaged from fighting. "You ignore what happened after Baldur's death, learned one." "Do you know what they did to the people behind his death? They murdered Hoder, the blind brother who threw the dart, and imprisoned Loki, who made the dart with his children's entrails, ehich the Aesir obtained by forcing the Loki's sons to kill each other. Does that sound righteous to anyone?" 10/30 Originally posted on 2018-05-24 15:14:00 -------------------- |

(managed to write this in my 10 mins break YAY)
(Edit: Fixed it up a little) (Edit Edit: Shouldn't there be 3 crates left?) As to help Harry, I take control of applying the healing concoction that paradoxdragon has made and liquidfy it even further, before I apply it, I teleport the arrow out of Harry's to not cause anymore lasting damage. Soon, I apply the medicine by carefully pumping it into Harry's bloodstream. The blood carries the healing liquid as it begin to quickly clot up the wounds. To make sure this becomes even more effective, I help him keep breathing and relax with the memories of fond times fishing with his father before he got orphaned. "This feeling of pain, why do you think you're experiencing this Harry? A mere pickpocket in the attention of a god-like being? Power becomes a necessary, in the scheme of life, are you really content with just pickpocketing when you can better than that? I'm rather new to the matters of players, descendents, and godmodders, but I'd like you to live and to do that, you have to break through your limits and be more than you thought you'll always be. I'll help you reach there so you can live through this mess." I said, finishing my attempt of encouraging Harry. Lastly, I assist the creation of Joe's and paradox's creations. 6/30 EP Originally posted on 2018-05-24 22:59:00 |

I was hoping for more than four posts, but I should update now. And in case you were wondering, I have no idea where this storyline is going. Not that I had much of an idea to begin with.
Entity submitted, though modified a little to have higher HP and less attack, just so it doesn't get one shot by something. Anna isn't much for medicine. Or taking orders. Regardless, she loses 2,000 spirit and Harry gains 5,000, as well as being cured of paralysis. It's a little bit odd that Anna is helping to cure Harry just after jabbing him with her stun rod thing, but it's fine.
He answers you flatly, a look of steel still in his eyes. "I know people's intentions. This is only a step, part of the process of growth. And yes, I do have that 'ability'. But it doesn't matter when nobody will prove it to me."
"Spears are inanimate. I don't care about spears. But even if I do follow this metaphor... What use is a spear without a war, without a conflict, without a struggle? And through a war, many spears will break against armor, shield, or bone. And through this trial, the design will be improved. To overcome the struggle, the designers will be forced to create a stronger handle, a sharper point, a sturdier metal. So yes, they do grow through struggle." At your first line, there's a brief moment where the Snobmodder just looks confused, the steel underlying his gaze and posture gone. "... Learned...?" Then he shakes his head and recovers his composure. "... Hrm. The specifics of the actions do not matter much. Why did they preform such acts? A sense of justice, fighting for the good of another, another being, or another concept." Oh, also, you do have an entity you can command. From breaking the shipping container.
Uh... I mean... yeah, but there always were three crates. I don't know what you're talking about, like... at all. Nevermind that you can just look back at a previous EOTB where my mistake theoretically would be. But that's assuming I made a mistake, which I clearly have not. Yeah. Totally did not forget to remove a create. Absolutely NO way I forgot that. Well... Harry doesn't have an arrow in him. The Snobmodder threw a poisoned dagger into his leg, twisted it, and yanked it back out. Godmodders don't use daggers very often, so I figured why not give him one. Regardless... With a pained smile, Harry looks up at you and climbs back to his feet until he's kneeling. "I never really asked myself what I 'fight for'. You don't get that luxury when you don't know where your next meal is coming from. But now... How'd I get from London to here?" He sighs and looks off into the distance. "... I first joined the Explorer's Guild because I felt like it was what my father would have wanted, getting out of the prison of London and seeing the world. Plus, it was the only place that would take me. That helped, I suppose. I used to follow her, Anna. I was with Victor too. But at this point, I feel like I don't know them anymore." He pauses for a while. "Also, we use almost exactly the same text color, which is kinda awkward." ... You know... I really didn't think I'd end up writing a whole character backstory for Harry based on what little information you get in the game. Either way, Harry gains +14,000 Spirit and +1 XP. END OF RESPONSES First of all, I don't think anybody has actually noticed the whole 'mood' thing, so I'll just scrap that. Second, start the EOTB. Now not paralyzed anymore, Harry gets to reclaim his position at the front of the turn order. Well, technically the shipping crates act first, but they don't do anything. Although he has piercing shot ready, he's going to wait until Focus is ready so he can wombo-combo the world. He fires at Yvonne, dealing 7,500 damage. Without orders, the clockwork tank does nothing. Anna undoes the bit of healing she helped in by throwing an arc of electricity at Harry, dealing 5,000 damage. Victor, on the other hand, draws his sword, a thin fencing style blade, and stabs at the tank, dealing 5,500 damage because Tactician boosts physical damage. Yvonne uses Deride on Harry now that it is charged. "Pathetic little street rat, thinking it can play explorer when it couldn't even find its father's love! Don't kid yourself. He never 'went missing'. He abandoned you! It's a marvel you've never gotten that into your stupid little head. And it seems oh so very fitting that the vermin has only survived by scampering away into the darkness at the first sign of trouble." Harry, of course, seems pretty cheesed about this, taking 8,000 spirit damage and becoming enraged, meaning that he must attack Yvonne next turn, and takes 25% more damage from physical attacks. Yvonne loves it though and regains 4,000 spirit. The Snobmodder seems to be having difficulty with... something and mostly has his eyes closed, looking directly down. He's muttering something to himself, but it's difficult to make out. Eventually, he looks up again. "We will find a hero. One way or another. And if nothing else, I can be king of this land." He raises his fist and conjures more traditional godmodder attacks, summoning forth a tidal wave of water that crashes into Harry, hitting him so hard he temporarily changes games. When he comes to, he's on some kind of grassy plane with craters everywhere. "You look like you're having fun." "Who-" That's the only word he gets out before he is sucked back into the land of the non-canon, having taken 10,000 damage. ... You know, this story's tone is all over the place. Oh well. I assist Joe's and paradox's creations.
"O-Oh, right, just let me..." I cough a few times as I get a feel to speak in a different color. "Ahem! Testing testing! Right... this lighter color will do..." Candles are spread out around Harry as I force him down to sit. "Harry! your rage mustn't blind you, it will only doom yourself. While I know you won't let that go, you should instead focus that hatred and temper it." The candle scents flutter about Harry as he inhales them. He can feel himself seemingly boil inside as something threaten to overtake him the more he breathes in, as though rage was taking a physical form and wishes to spill out. I have Harry close his eyes and focus on the next words I was going to say as he keeps the manifested rage. "For one must give into rage, but should your anger be too much to be contained then you must make sure that you anger be three things." "Your Rage must be Cold" "Your Rage must be Reasoned" "And your rage must be Legendary" The meaning of those words were partially lost to Harry, but even if he didnt fully understood it, it was enough to contain the fierce rage into something... denser. "I can't stand that. One of my soft spots, I suppose. I never knew why he left, but that was always my fear. Maybe it was from me, my failures." He stares off into the distance for a while, thinking. Henry's enraged removed, and a very weak entity spawned as well. END OF RESPONSES. Now let's start the EOTB. The shipping crates act first, and being extremely scared at their dwindling numbers, their primal herd instincts kick in, driving them to do nothing, as they are inanimate. With his enrage cured, Harry stills himself, holding his pistol up in front of mouth like he was saying 'shush'. Probably not the best in terms of gun safety, but his next action will be more powerful. ... He used focus, okay? Both of the other two AS entities do nothing. Inspired by the dramatic montage, Anna takes out a flask filled with water and darts away off the battlefield. She scourers through the shipping plant, picking out various electronics and powders and mixing them into the bottle until it started to spark, because this is how SCIENCE is done. Then, returning to the field, she jabs her Tesla rod onto the surface of the bottle and pumping it full of voltage. Holding up the crackling bottle, Anna cackles maniacally and throws it at Harry and the Clockwork Tank, letting it explode into a shower of lightning and flaming specks. They both take 6,500 damage from the voltage and chaos. Then, due to attacking, she gains +1 XP and levels up, gaining a new ability. Both Yvonne and Victor attack the Clockwork Tank, stabbing and whipping it until it shatters and breaks. Now the Snobmodder raises his dagger up into the air, holding it lightly by the hilt and motioning through throwing it several times, lining it up at Harry. He pulls back his arm, and then stops. Lowering his arm again, he stares at the dagger as if it were something foreign, like a strange baby bird in his hands. His stare is odd, half blank, half filled with possibilities. After a while, he speaks, trying to navigate his words. "When did... Huh... Odd... My observer was gone." He stays like this for a while, seemingly not doing anything. I give my assistance to Joe's and Paradox's entities. "Now then..." I ponder on what to do for this turn as it seems the place is becoming emptier. I look at the Snobmodder, but came up with nothing exciting to hit him with. Sighing, I begrudgingly get back to the entity fight and look for a way to assist Harry through this. Eying the trio of PS explorers, I just remembered that Harry had Piercing Shot which was going to be used. I quickly whispered to Harry that I'll be making his piercing shot more effective. "Don't worry about any sort of signal, I trust that you'll know when to make the shot." I got him a thumbs up and proceed to continue my next plan of action. Great tangles of web and vines shoot of the walls as it swipes at the PS Explorers. The Explorers not wanting to be caught up in the sticky vines and not utterly oblivious to their surrounds stay out of swinging traps. What they don't notice was that they were being corralled and aligned right in front of Harry while their distracted... (Orders) The Sha of Rage seethes in the direction of the PS explorers as its form grows to further intimidate them. Originally posted on 2018-06-02 01:51:00 |

Unfortunately, there is not player called "mineandparadox", and they certainly don't have any sentities. Sentities aren't even a thing I was going to introduce, totally. Disappointed, you decide to boost your own entity and paradox's entity.
END OF RESPONSES. ... I wrote most of this, but then realized I was on the wrong tab. Hopefully I transferred things correctly. The final shipping crate stands alone, heroic last stand music building in the background as an angelic light shines on it from above. Then you realize it was a camera work drone passing by. But still. Harry holds still, his gun still by his chest. Carefully, he lowers it down and reaches for a pouch around his waist, takes out a single bullet. His father said he had bought it from a mysterious trader, one who seemed to not be of this world. Harry had it now, and it seemed there was something to it, for no matter how many times he shot it, he always seemed to find it later, maybe not where he'd expect, maybe not in the same battle, maybe not even on the same continent, but it would always show up somewhere. And no matter what it went through, it always bore the simple, finely printed message his father had written on it, "H. Walker". Thinking of this, he calmly loaded the bullet and took aim, breathing slowly and surely. He had gone shooting before, long ago, back with his parents. Now, all those little tips came back to him, stand straight, square your shoulders, keep a steady hand. With these buzzing through his mind, he lined up the shot, and fired. ... Okay, time for one of my favorite parts of DTG: MATHHHHHHHH!!!! (4,000 base, + 5 * 500 from rogue), *1.6 from focus, *1.4 from overcharge, *1.5 from assistance = 21,750 damage. Each. Ooph. The shot takes down Yvonne, as well as most of the HP of the other two. Victor takes less though due to armor. The Sha of Rage spoooooooooooooooooks the other two PS explorers, dealing 1,500 damage to Victor, and 500 damage to Anna. As retaliation, Anna attacks Harry, her usual 5,000 damage now slightly boosted to 5,500 due to Engineer. In the wake of that massive attack, Victor takes out a pole, one scared, scratched, and beaten from hundreds of battles before. He wraps a cloth around it and thrusts the pole into the ground, where the cloth unfurls into a flag, one of a peace treaty. It seems to have a striking effect on your two entities, dealing 3,000 damage to both of them and pacifying them, meaning any attacks they do that involve direct violence will have their power reduced. Yvonne does nothing, as she is unconscious. You hope. Maybe. The Snobmodder looks over the battlefield, suddenly feeling quite proud. "Things... must have happened in the mean time! I'll show them what greatness I can command!" Reaching into his back pocket, he takes out a whistle, one seemingly adorned in dinosaur skin with small claws dangling off the side. He holds it up as if to show the world what a grand achievement it is that he has it, and then blows on it, causing a rather high pitched, annoying shrieking sound that deals 1,000 damage to all entities. Then, he waits, a smug smile on his face. After a while, absolutely nothing happens, and he looks down in confusion. "Wait... It's not on this planet yet. Capitalism claims to be about efficiency and all that..." He takes out something that looks suspiciously like one of those fake iPhones they use in GTA games and types into it, seemingly placing an order for something. Whatever it is, it probably is not good.
