Her Luminescence's identity is revealed in the Memoirs.

Meanwhile, the light being atop the tower calls down you all. He's riding a horse up there. That's how you tell he's important.

Mustache Girl is, frankly, unamused by the Hero's grandiose old-style English. But at least he knows the party isn't truly bad by any stretch of the imagination. Bar maybe that Maroon Spectre. Maybe. She thinks this while walking to (K13), weapon sheathed. She leans against the edge of the tower while she attempts to explain the various details to the Hero;

"It's... a long story. We were sent here by some dragon to help the host of this mindscape wake up. We've got no idea what's troubling him.
We've been given a potential cure for whatever he has." She shows it to him as proof she wasn't lying; maybe he'll recognize it? Who knows.
"I want to make another thing blatant; we don't want to harm you guys. At all. [small][small](though you've come pretty close, you annoying knights)[/small][/small]
In fact, with our goals, we'd be actively helping you not die. Without your host, this place will likely collapse. Never seen it happen myself, but it's likely pretty bad. Ask Terry over there, I guess. He knows about this stuff.
'Her Luminescence' is also likely not going to be immune to this collapse. I would say it's even more of a reason to let us do our thing."
She pauses for a moment.

You could not do it. You could not sheathe the eraser. And now that you've attacked the glowing dude using said eraser, you probably started a conflict that you're not gonna get out of. Two letters are thrown at the Hero. Identical letters, coincidentally. They both detail the threat Auth is under... and the Hero nearly falls off his horse.

HERO: The Black King of Hearts! He is under such a threat... and this does corroborate with orders Her Luminescence sent us herself, that a group saying such a thing would be arriving...

He sighs, and the doors of the Tower open. The path goes straight to a massive mansion.

The north and the south have deep purple auras emanating from them. The one to the south is threatening... but the North seems to be the way you want to go. You should totally explore everywhere else, though.
