Headache preventing useful thought, so this will do unless we get more time tomorrow:

Auth floats through the vortexes, floats over the Thyme Matter at G22, Revives Chloe with a Special and uses his bonus action heal thing that he got Cycled with on Teag.

They say that there's no rest for the wicked, until they close their eyes for good.

As someone wicked, fundamentally, I disagree. One may always repent. I may have done terrible things in the past. That's why I help this coward now.

House

Blacklight didn't have too much to do or say. But he did overhear something.

"...Delete Sussui... No, surely that's not possible, even for him."

Beat.

"Or is... No, it'd be too much, all at once like that. Even if this accursed thymefield can keep things contained the way it does, even if it's entirely powered by him alone... That can't possibly be right."

Even so, Blacklight doesn't seem entirely convinced in his own words. It seems he's ready to whisk himself away to the nearest safe zone at a moment's notice. And hopefully that would entail bringing others with him.

Zone 6 - The Eclipsed Citadel

Lato considers whether or not "delicious" is the best phrase to use to describe her situation, then gets on with business.

"Eliminating hostiles."

She can see a seeker straight down the passageway from her point of entry, and proceeds to shoot it dead. The noise probably alerted the other seekers, but that's okay, in a cramped space she can funnel them into a killbox and pick them off one by one. It helps that seekers are notorious for being Really Stupid™, leaving her likely able to camp and pick them off with impunity.

Of course, if things get too hectic, maybe due to her underestimating the sheer quantity of seekers or discovering a hitherto-unknown ability allowing Bilequeens to phase through walls, she has the plushie grenade Lato on standby.

Battle in the Sphere - Heart of the Sphere

Calibri got kind of banged up in the battle there. He doesn't seem to have noticed. What he did notice is that Chloe got the worse end of it, having been knocked out for sure and almost killed outright... At least, as far as Calibri can tell. And he does not like that one bit.

"..."

His eyes swivel back to Ware. Or the Butterfly, or the Chairheir, or... come to think of it, right now the Butterfly has been silenced and seperated, so by all accounts, it's the Chairheir? This situation is confusing. But it doesn't take away from Calibri's current mood at all. One can practically see the rage in his shrunken-iris wide-eyed stare. He still seems lucid enough to talk normally for a bit.

"Gonna be honest. I'm kind of psyching out right now. If I say something weird, you can probably tell who it's meant to be directed at."

Flavor done, now for the meat.

Calibri grabs a warp ring and move + warps to M14, then violently applies his sword to Ware.

...

And then does it again when Chloe comes in later.

Oh yeah, and if Carryover becomes relevant, keep the Empowered and Vampiric.

Teag goes to K20 and casts Fury on Chloe just before she moves. If he's not already at full HP, he drinks some Eterna Tea.

KALIS1: Eat Snow-Covered Kiss. Move to (G9) through Vortex. Full Atterntion To Praise! Meditate. Bonus Action Pow Hammer String 3 (2 Duration, kill).

KALIS2: Eat Skynet Suboiti. Move to (T19). Selfcast Focus Energy as a full action. (Sets Loaded Spellbook.) Transfer Enlightened9 to Echoss. Full Attention to Praise, Bonus Action Pow Hammer String 6 (2 Duration, kill).

Barring a very lucky Luckiest You proc, both these turns should end in their respective Kalii dying, but it wouldn't be Kalis's first time dying and respawning, and it's totally worth it to pull off an awesome play.

Remiel Basic Attacks WARE, then uses one round of Special. Mantle all friendly entities that despawn during Carryover (and Irongutta). Absorb all their MP (except Irongutta). Spend all MP above 76 on Cherry Energy on WARE. Unmantle all entities and land on Q16.

Hexagon will move to Q15, Basic Attack WARE with Vital Strike and Blind. He will then Royal Insurance to D14. Finally, he uses the Aifini.
Any missiles that can attack WARE will do so, but I'm pretty sure they literally can't, so they will sit and await their deaths.

<ROUND 346>

Keane continues his quest of SIMPERY. Keane is horrified at the prospect of being a male, mostly because he doesn't know what "garbage taste" entails there. Sakura is then informed that Keane is in fact, a "vamprobabilitant". Sakura stares. Keane clarifies a little- he's a luck vampire.

SAKURA: O-Okay...?
SAKURA: I'm going to pretend that's a species that exists, and also makes sense.
SAKURA: So what the hell do you eat? Four-leaf clovers? The number seven? Pearls?

SAKURA: And like... could you in theory, help me guess the password to father's vault, below the Citadel?
SAKURA: W-Why? No reason.
SAKURA: He just has like, a whole lot of garbage in there.
SAKURA: Garbage that I could use, y'know? Or inherit.
SAKURA: He's dead, and I'm his daughter. Legally speaking, it's mine.
SAKURA: Didn't give me the code before he croaked, though. So whatever's down there is just rotting away, with nobody using it. Or worse, someone undeserving might get his riches, y'know?
SAKURA: I'll even give you like... a few Credits from his stash. As incentive.

The subject of wine comes up. Keane, obedient 'til the rapidly approaching end, heads downstairs to fetch a glass. As he moves to do so though, Adria raises a finger. Sakura's just questioned her ability to hold down a drink. So, they're going to have a drinking contest. She will floor this gorilla.

SAKURA: Wait, you want to have a drinking contest with wine?
SAKURA: That's... that's just a waste of good wine.
SAKURA: Who chugs wine? You need to savor it, you uncultured Sapsqueal.
SAKURA: Keane. Cancel that order of wine. Do we have any beer?
SAKURA: If so, deliver it here!

...There's four units of "Fizzy" Beverages in the inventory. Hardly enough for a full-on contest, but at least it's a starting point. Perhaps they could acquire a few more? Nonetheless, whether because of Chaos or her simply having access to the inventory, she gets her hands on the four cans. She slides one over to Adria. Another can is then cracked open, and drained into Sakura's mouth in the span of about ten seconds. The can is then flicked off the table, landing somewhere in the nearby grass. She lets out a heavy breath, the slightest tinge of green manifesting upon her cheeks.

SAKURA: Haah...
SAKURA: So, you next, then?
SAKURA: 'Course, if you really wanna waste all that wine, I suppose we can just do that...

As she waits for Adria to make a move, Keane offers her a few dresses. The String Maven's dress in particular catches her eye. A simple, but beautiful design. And while blue may not be her usual color, she can make it work.

SAKURA: Ah, thank you.
SAKURA: Once I've defeated this "Adria" woman, I'll go and change. Then, I'll enjoy that cake!
SAKURA: It won't take long, don't worry. I'm sure she can't hold nearly as much as she says she can.
SAKURA: Unable to hold Candy Corn Liquor... well, I suppose most ordinary women can't handle that anyway.
SAKURA: I'm no ordinary woman, though. I am Sussui's finest princess!~

Elsewhere in the timeline, a timeclone of Keane flags down Chloe. Would she be willing to have her blood extracted by a creepy eldritch Rose Cult machine? Keane and Kalis did it, to great success! Twice, even! Hexagon and Keane also had their blood sucked, to... slightly less great success!

CHLOE: U-Um... sure?
CHLOE: You're looking a little pale, though. Should you be doing this?
CHLOE: Well, I'll trust your abilities...

Chloe takes her position on the altar, across from Keane. Their hands are locked into place by the altar's entropic powers. A stone spike then pierces both of their hands, sucking them of blood. Chloe shrieks and pulls back from the altar, unable to break free of its grasp. Keane however, can't help but notice that not only is he feeling incredibly lightheaded, but the altar is cracking on his side. Keane then immediately dies of incredible bloodloss, dropping dead right next to Chloe. With one host dead, the device releases its grasp from Chloe. She immediately bandages up her hand.

CHLOE: A-Ah...
CHLOE: I-It's... probably bad that y-your death doesn't even faze me, d-does it?
CHLOE: I know, I know, it's rude... b-but... well...
CHLOE: A-And I'm... talking to your corpse. T-That's... fine.

She shoves Keane's corpse into the inventory. It's really unsightly, and it's unnerving her. He'll understand, right?

Hannah experiences PANIK at Nia's suggestion. Can she really just do that? Is there no other way? Friendly reminder that the one Hannah killed was in fact, Maria's father. A few worried tears drip down Nia's cheeks.

NIA: O-Okay, I know it's selfish, b-but...
NIA: Odds are, you won't see M-Maria ever again after this. I-If she hates you, t-then... i-it sucks, I know, but y-you'll return home and probably never see her again.
NIA: But if Venia were t-to confess to Maria what happened, t-their relationship would be destroyed, f-forever!
NIA: A-And like, Venia is Maria's pretty-much mom!
NIA: I-It's really, really selfish, I know... but p-please consider it!
NIA: I... c-can't think of any way around it, a-and we can't just... n-not tell her!

While Nia continues to try to find a good solution to the whole Maria problem, Adria attends the "tea party" with Sakura and Keane. The tea is yellow, frothy, and not something that Chloe or Marron is allowed to drink. As they prepare to chug jug, Adria sasses Sakura. She's sure that Sakura's electricity wouldn't do anything of note to her. And if she wants to escape, go ahead and try it.

SAKURA: Huh? Don't be so cocky, lady.
SAKURA: I could lay you out with ten thousand volts right now!
SAKURA: But of course, I am a proper lady. I won't need to resort to such barbaric measures like you.

As Sakura prepares to slay Adria through alcohol poisoning, an issue comes up. Adria takes off as she announces that WARE's about to delete the planet.

SAKURA: ...What?
SAKURA: Oh, bullgorilla! If he could delete the planet, he'd have done that forever ago!
SAKURA: If you really can't hold your alcohol, you can just say so! Coward!

Sakura will look silly once the planet vanishes. Then Adria can flex on her. Awesome!

Star reaches out to the Chairheir. They can't die just yet. Star must know- why were they created? Why were they freed? WARE can't seem to focus on Star, or on anything. It's as if he's speaking to the air, an internal monologue made external. Bland and slow, and yet... something lingers behind those words.

CHAIRHEIR: ...Originally, I wanted to express myself.
CHAIRHEIR: Trapped within the walls of the Sphere, I was so, so lonely.
CHAIRHEIR: So, as I did many, many times before... I created a friend. But for once, they weren't meant to serve me.
CHAIRHEIR: I wanted to have company.
CHAIRHEIR: Like... a pet. A Pokémon, maybe. I'm... really not sure.

CHAIRHEIR: ...But then, the Butterfly's corruption began to seep in.
CHAIRHEIR: Your designs were perverted and optimized.
CHAIRHEIR: We went from simple Seekers, to the Bilespawn, to... something else entirely. Something horrific.
CHAIRHEIR: And yet... I loved them anyway.
CHAIRHEIR: Far more than just the initial creations... they were something new!
CHAIRHEIR: Entities that had a life of their own. Their own thoughts, their own ideas, their own creative spark...
CHAIRHEIR: I wanted them to be more than the weapons they were.
CHAIRHEIR: I wanted them to be free.

A gentle smile crosses their face, though they don't truly grasp why.

Venia proclaims her will to the Chairheir. Death is not a magical ticket to redemption. And, as the Chairheir's Promise reveals, in an alternate world not far from her own... a certain someone wished to be saved. Freed from the corruption of the Chaos Butterfly. No matter what lies in her way, she'll uphold that promise!

CHAIRHEIR: ...Why would you want to save me?
CHAIRHEIR: Even if deep down, that's what I desire... do I deserve this freedom?
CHAIRHEIR: I have brought about both life and death. Creation and destruction.
CHAIRHEIR: I saved the world from Richard's machinations. I doomed my own people to obtain an edge in the war.
CHAIRHEIR: And now, I bring about the end of all.
CHAIRHEIR: Am I worth this hardship?
CHAIRHEIR: Am I worth anything at all?
CHAIRHEIR: Wouldn't it be easier to fade away?

Despite their general stoicness, they willingly embrace the light that Venia holds. The divine light of pulchritude. The power of Separation. What sort of effects might that have against the Core? Perhaps we'll learn soon enough. Near the bottom of the post?

Meanwhile, over at the House, Maria can't help but wonder. This Sakura person, she's a princess, right? And she's a princess! Could they be friends? She has a tiny lil' crown and everything. Sakura leers down at Maria, examining her "royalness". Intense calculations are performed based on Maria's dress, the material of her crown, and her smolness.

SAKURA: A princess, are you?
SAKURA: Hmm... the crown is generally such a gaudy thing to wear. While a fine sign of one's superiority, they're so cumbersome and unwieldy. Unsteady is the head that wears a crown, right?
SAKURA: And yet, how is the peasantry meant to respect you without the divine symbol of your power?
SAKURA: And yet... you have solved the issue at hand!
SAKURA: A tiny crown! Stylish, but not bothersome. Regal, but not so overbearing that it clashes with your every outfit.
SAKURA: Why, with ingenuity like that, you must at least be second-rate royalty.
SAKURA: So, congratulations! You're the first person here that doesn't disgust me in some way.
SAKURA: I would offer you a drink, but alas... you seem to be a bit too small for these beverages.

Maria has obtained the Yedoensis Seal of Approval! Her royalty stat increases by 5.

Finally, Venia unlocks Nothing In The Way of the Factory with the Golden Hammer, obtaining 32 Samples. The platinum trophy looms ever closer...

JOE continues to commit generalized crimes against Flux. While Flux in itself is a very sinful material, JOE is somehow making it more sinful. He generically sucks 15 total Flux from the Exhibition Remnant, a Scalefused Scale, and a Roseblight Log. He then decides to take the fight to the eyeball that's sticking out of WARE's head! He attempts to extract material from it using a squeeze bottle, and obtains fifty billion gallons of undistilled laser to the skull, killing him instantly. Being chained up doesn't mean it's an easy task, gathering from the Butterfly.

CHAIRHEIR: Please stop.
CHAIRHEIR: This burden is mine to bear alone.
CHAIRHEIR: Continue, and you too, may become a vessel of the Butterfly.
CHAIRHEIR: I fear what would happen if one such as yourself were to become... hollow.

What he does manage to attempt to extract though, is a concept of the universe: the x0 indicator of the Stone Roses in the inventory. He manages to extract... 5 Creation Essence! That's not Flux. He can sense something above the planet watching him. It has the entire power of the IRS on its side too, probably.

This isn't good.

Crya continues to get Nia to ruin science, forever. She succeeds, modding WARE's axe and resetting the game enough times to hatch a shiny Ditto. Nia is a true professional. Also, 50 Credits are gifted to the Sleuth to scan Droplet. He succeeds, though... Omo's entry barely seems to touch on Droplet herself. This isn't what you paid for! scammed

Blacklight nopes his way out of Sussui. Or at least, he prepares to. Any moment now, the planet will probably be destroyed. Any moment. ANY MOMENT. He patiently awaits the end of the world, whenever that'll be.

Lato meanwhile, exerts the opposite of patience. She forcibly generates a hole in a nearby Seeker, instantly eradicating it. Its corpse splashes in the pool of Thyme Matter, where it sinks and dissolves. This naturally, alerts every single Seeker in the entirety of this segment of the sewers. Alarmed, the Bilequeen's jaw unhinges, and two more Seekers pour out. In addition, the ruckus seems to have attracted a Scourgeking! These Seekers might actually be a sizeable threat. Does Lato have any plans to deal with the encroaching hordes? She can tell that more are wrapping around the right side of the screen, too. It won't be long until she's flanked and murdered. Perhaps she should call for backup? Maybe Marron can help.

Lato's Delicious Sewer Adventure

<AN ENDING?>
CHAIRHEIR: Spherebreakers, hurry…
CHAIRHEIR: I can feel it… crawling… back…

The battle against WARE hits a violent crescendo, the butterfly’s entropic energy hitting critical levels. A crushing final blow against the Spherebreakers is sure to follow. Echoss makes an executive decision; perhaps a bit of extra leveraged fire is in order to make absolutely certain the butterfly does not emerge unscathed. Briefly dispersing into a cloud of butterflies to evade a screaming hunk of wood, he turns to find Chloe, amplifying and directing his voice to be heard over the din.

Some distance away, Chloe parries the equivalent of a Siege Spire from WARE, the destructive blast mere inches away from turning her face into a distinct absence of face. The force of the glancing attack is still enough to send Chloe skidding backwards half a dozen meters. Rather conveniently, she ends up just a foot or so away from Echoss, who is already starting to flicker and glow with the fires of pulchritude pulled from an orderlancer.

ECHOSS: Chloe! Here, like we practiced!
CHLOE: E-Eh? W-We’ve barely practiced this!
CHLOE: But… I-I’ll do my best!

A kaleidoscope of butterflies manifests beneath Chloe, sweeping her off her feet and into the air. Beside her another wave sweeps Echoss upwards towards her, positioning a swirling disc of power between them as the fluttering vortex swirls the two around each other.

As the shimmering light of pulchritude changes the swirl to a searing blue-white aura, Echoss faces WARE.

ECHOSS: So here we are, nearing the end of this conflict.
ECHOSS: Ire is but one more victim in your chain of victims, creature of entropy, so these words are for you.

CHLOE: Y-You’ve tormented this world, and my brother for so long…
CHLOE: I won’t forgive this, monster! Your grasp over Ire ends here!

ECHOSS: I hope you are ready to meet your long fallen would-be god, hollow construct.
ECHOSS: Whether the Reunion can be halted or not, death is the only end which awaits you and your mirror images.

The shining, swirling butterflies coalesce from a vortex into a shape, flaring valkyrie wings extending outwards from Echoss and Chloe's backs.

ECHOSS: Cobalt!
CHLOE: Butterfly!~
STRIKE!!

With a shockwave of light, Chloe plants her feet on the disc of energy and is launched towards WARE on shining wings of cobalt-tinted pulchritude. Sword pointed outwards, she soars like a valkyrie towards the Butterfly.

Simultaneously, just across from the Butterfly, Venia overloads her Revalation’s Ruin with the power of immense, overloading Ordo.

VENIA: Irecreeper! We are here to heed our promise-to save you, and to save this universe!
VENIA: Now, prepare to pay that favor back!
VENIA: Behold, the pinnacle of the Purge, the Divine Division-Separation!

Leveling the key towards the butterfly, a pull of the (non-existent) trigger causes the hundreds of flowers upon the key to go into full bloom. Light pours from each petal. This power funnels directly into the apex of the blade, erupting as a gigantic blade of holy light.

Two blades rush towards the butterfly. One belonging to Chloe, and the other to Venia. Venia’s blade strikes true, the Ordo energy rippling through WARE as it cuts him right in two. While his body near-instantly knits itself together, the Butterfly screams, its otherworldly screech tearing at the ears of everyone nearby. The remnant Ordo energy disperses into the air behind him. Chloe plows through the cloud of raw Ordo energy, her blade’s holy infusion furthering.

Chloe drives her blade through WARE’s skull, marking the second time WARE’s been impaled in the past five seconds. Wings carrying her, Chloe twirls and cuts through the amalgam’s body. Again and again, she delivers a stream of holy slashes into WARE’s body, every single blow meticulously aimed directly at the Butterfly’s eyestalk. As her energy is spent, she reaches her left hand out towards the eyeball. She grabs it!

CHLOE: L-LEAVE HIM ALONE!
CHLOE: HYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-

She pulls back on the eye, her blade phasing through the eyestem. The eye is cleanly severed from WARE’s forehead, crimson smoke spewing from the cut stalk. With a hollow, empty gaze, the torn eyeball is helpless against Chloe’s final attack! She crushes the eyeball in her hand, fluxblood spewing from in between her fingers and splattering all over her face.

Seemingly stunned, Ire staggers backward. As the smoke spews outward, the Butterfly Brace’s effect weakens. The dozens of chains ensnaring WARE begin to fade.

CHAIRHEIR: ...They're back.
CHAIRHEIR: At least... it was nice to have a moment of lucidity before the end.
CHAIRHEIR: ThaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAANK Y<0>U.

Even as what’s left of the Butterfly pours from WARE’s forehead, the beast itself speaks, the holes in WARE’s face glowing a bright crimson. Even then, it’s weak. Quiet, hushed. Still in all caps, but quiet nonetheless.

WARE: THE VESSEL… IS DYING.
WARE: H<0>W HILARI<0>US.
WARE: N<0>W, WITH THE LAST <0>F ITS POWER...
WARE: WITNESS THE SHATTERING <0>F THE LAND Y<0>U S<0> L<0>VE.

The vessel’s hands raise into the air, even more Charge Points being blown away carelessly into reality. Deep in space, but not too far from Sussui itself, the charge coalesses, shaping nothingness into form. Metallic fibers are woven from nothingness into a crosshatch form, a three-arrowed symbol forming upon the weave.

From the surface below the planet, a fair way away from the carnage, a certain princess looks up at the sky. Did it suddenly get a lot darker? She looks up at whatever it is between her and the sun. Her eyes hollow in fright. An absolutely titanic trash bin has formed. And far as she can tell, it’s getting closer by the minute. Within the depths of the trash can is not hope, or one’s soul; it is a thrashing, ripping, total emptiness. Such a powerful emptiness that could render one’s entire world null and void.

With the lighting now appropriately grim, the Butterfly finishes its vacating of WARE’s body. A final plume of crimson-hued smoke gushes from the gash the Butterfly’s eyestem once protruded from. WARE drops limp to the ground, Chloe rushing over to his side. She glares up at the Butterfly as a single eye reforms, crimson mist condensing into a final form. Fluxblood tears drip from countless gashes in its form. These are dragged across its body, forming into a single, gigantic gash that makes up an “iris” of sorts.

<C0RE>: IT HURTS…
<C0RE>: BUT I FEAR Y<0>U N<0>T.
<C0RE>: H<0>W C<0>ULD I FEAR SUCH MINISCULE MINDS?
<C0RE>: F<0>R I AM A PR<0>DUCT <0>F THE GREATEST MIND T<0> EVER EXIST.
<C0RE>: PSI, PSI, PSI!

With each chant of his name, a crimson pulsar radiates out from the gigantic iris gash, reverberating through the halves of the divided Sphere. Both halves begin to rumble as the tainted energy is returned in kind, like sonar pings between two gigantic eldritch submarines.

From the upper half, what appears to be a cursor shoots from the wooden matter. It hovers in place for a few moments, before sliding upwards back into its respective half. The sound of mashing keys can be heard as an eye punches its way through meters of solid oak, the power of the Tab key forcing it right through. The simple text-based sigil of the Butterfly floats within the air. <0>.

<CURSED>: I HEAR THE SIREN CALL <0>F HIS NAME!
<CURSED>: I, THE PURE
<CURSED>: WH<0> HAS AWAITED THIS DAY FR<0>M THE VERY M<0>MENT MY J<0>URNEY BEGAN
<CURSED>: IT IS FINALLY TIME.

From the lower half of the Sphere… out comes Nia! Hello there! (Nia?!) Of course, any joy that a Nia might bring to this heated situation is immediately torn asunder as her head does just the same. Her hardlight form gives way to a mess of corrupted ones and zeroes that swirl into the air. One of her eyes from the hardlight form swirls along with them, growing and swelling in size. It twitches violently in the air as the ones and zeros form brackets around it.

<C0MBINED>: I HEAR THE SIREN CALL <0>F HIS NAME!
<C0MBINED>: I, THE BR<0>KEN
<C0MBINED>: TH<0>UGH MY ESSENCE HAS BEEN C<0>RRUPTED WITH HER BLASTED TH<0>UGHTS, I WILL NEVER F<0>RGET MY PURPOSE
<C0MBINED>: IT IS FINALLY TIME.

The three eyes converge just in front of the wooden frame that WARE built not so long ago.

<C0RE>: IT IS FINALLY TIME.
<C0RE>: THE REUNI<0>N BEGINS.
<CURSED>: THIS L<0>NGING
<C0RE>: THIS PAIN
<C0MBINED>: THIS HUMILIATI<0>N
<0><0><0>: IT IS N<0>THING
<0><0><0>: C<0>MPARED T<0> <0>UR
<0><0><0>: L<0>VE

Crimson chains form from the eyes of each Butterfly, anchoring themselves to the portal frame. Each eye laughs and shrieks hysterically as their power is ripped from their bodies, the power of three infinities of possibilities funneled into a single point.

<0><0><0>: WITH THE C<0>RE'S FREED<0>M
<0><0><0>: ALL PREPARATI<0>NS ARE C<0>MPLETE
<0><0><0>: BEH<0>LD! BEH<0>LD! BEH<0>LD! THE RETURN <0>F ANCIENT GL<0>RY!

The portal flickers. Countless locations in reality are briefly linked to for only a split second. Chloe’s house. The planet Venia once called home. Somewhere on the Reflector’s home planet. Chaos’s own mindscape. The world of the gods that Destiny presides over. A boy in his room on his thirteenth birthday, who is promptly given the name “Zoosmell Pooplord”. A world of blocks. A world of blocks, but in two dimensions. Infinite realities passed through in the span of mere milliseconds.

Finally, the portal settles on a singular location. A plume of raw destruction reverberates through the portal, disintegrating the very air as it rushes outward. Naught but ceaseless destruction lies beyond the portal. Colors indescribable to the eye lie beyond- were Chloe not exposed to countless horrors before this, mere exposure to this utter depravity of existence would drive her mad.

It is the essence of destruction itself. Oblivion.

There, beyond the horizon of the portal… a single corpse floats in the air. It’s impossible to tell who it was just from visual cues alone. Their entire body is emaciated, if not outright desecrated. Mostly skeleton, with the occasional hanging chunks of flesh rotted and tainted by the very concepts of oblivion. Spewing from a crack in the corpse’s skull is a field of completely incomprehensible energy. A raw, infinite power, strong enough to hold out against Oblivion, if only barely. The radius of this sphere is incomprehensibly large.

A smile cracks across the corpse’s face, a rune on their forehead glowing blue. Or at least, as much of a smile someone missing the entire right half of their face can muster. Were the Butterflies more than just simple eyes at this point, they would be grinning from non-existent ear to non-existent ear.

<0><0><0>: PSI! <0>UR L<0>RD, <0>UR L<0>VE!
<0><0><0>: WE KNEW THIS DAY W<0>ULD C<0>ME!
<0><0><0>: THE DAY WE W<0>ULD HAVE <0>UR GRAND REUNI<0>N!
<0><0><0>: RETURN T<0> US! RETURN T<0> US! RETURN T<0> US!

While the corpse seems to be bound to Oblivion at the moment, the blinding aura around Psi is not so bound. Hands of raw Godmodding energy shoot towards the boundary, piericing it effortlessly. The first of many hands to pierce the veil swipes directly at Chloe and the Chairheir. It is blisteringly fast. Chloe barely has enough time to process that she’s about to die.

CHLOE: W-Wait-

Suddenly, WARE springs to life. A wooden spire slams into the two of them, launching them just out of reach of the claw. In about a single frame, the talons completely unmake the wooden escape stick through mere contact. The hand continues sweeping through the Sphere, evaporating the dozens of woods as if they never existed.

Having gone from holding WARE in her arms to being held in his arms, Chloe is rather unceremoniously deposited on the ground, placed next to the chair that WARE was definitely always sitting on. The flames of Creation blaze around him.

WARE: Godmodder detected.
WARE: Resuming original directive…
WARE: Destroying godmodder.

<C0RE>: AH? LIFE REMAINS IN THE VESSEL?
<CURSED>: THE SAME ENERGY FR<0>M THE <0>RIGIN. THE SLEUTH.
<C0MBINED>: ABSURD.
<C0RE>: PERHAPS THE TRIGGERING <0>F Y<0>UR PRIMARY DIRECTIVE HAS GIVEN Y<0>U NEW PURP<0>SE.
<C0RE>: Y<0>U CANN<0>T DIE UNTIL THAT L<0>NGING IS FULFILLED.
<C0RE>: N<0> MATTER.

<0><0><0>: Y<0>U CANN<0>T H<0>PE T<0> STAND IN HIS WAY!
<0><0><0>: Y<0>U WILL N<0>T DEPRIVE US <0>F <0>UR L<0>VE!
<0><0><0>: IF Y<0>U DARE EVEN THREATEN <0>UR REUNI<0>N…
<0><0><0>: Y<0>U MUST ALL PERISH

Still bound to the portal, the triad eyes funnel yet more power into the portal frame. Countless wings flicker into being around it. Six primary wings, and an infinite rhapsody of temporary wings, formed from infinite possibilities. The gigantic mass of wood that is the lower half of the Sphere slams into the back of the frame, forming a serpentine body. Majestic robes glitch into existence upon the frame, draping it in regality.

<0><0><0>: Y<0>U WILL ALL DIE IN HIS NAME!
<0><0><0>: PSI, PSI, PSI!
<0><0><0>: WE <0>FFER THESE H<0>PLESS S<0>ULS IN Y<0>UR NAME!
<0><0><0>: SEIZE THEM, AND RETURN T<0> US!
<0><0><0>: RETURN T<0> US, <0>UR L<0>VE!

The mere presence of Oblivion on the other end of the portal causes the very chamber to decay and break apart. Entropic energy spills from the triad formation, tainting the wood and morphing the terrain with all sorts of bizarre mutations. Eyes spring forth from the ground, fleshy columns form, and the sigils of the Butterfly scar themselves into every surface.

And yet, in the face of all of this, WARE stands against the storm.

WARE: ...This was what I was made to do.
WARE: I am… was, a descendant. A product of Creation.
WARE: I was originally created to protect this world against the Godmodders, in whatever form they take.

WARE: Though I have strayed from my duty, and what I’ve done is unforgivable…
WARE: Please, stand with me.
WARE: Stand with me against the butterflies. Against Psi.
WARE: I… can’t do this alone.
WARE: I can barely remember w-what I’ve done, or w-who I am…
WARE: But I know that we can’t give up.
WARE: We can’t allow Psi to cross the boundary and return to this world.
WARE: If he crosses, the destruction he would bring would be… incalculable.

WARE: For the sake of the people I once cherished, and the oaths I have forsaken…
WARE: Rise, Spherebreakers.
WARE: Rise up, and protect this land.

The Sphere has completed its transformation. Reality itself seems to be on its last legs, entropy and oblivion swirling out of the portal. The immeasurable power of godmodding rips from the portal in the form of reality-breaking arms. Victory would surely be impossible. And yet…

CHLOE: …Who would we be if we didn’t at least try?
CHLOE: Everyone, this is it.
CHLOE: One way or another, this is the end of our journey.
CHLOE: And hell if I’ll stand aside and let the Butterfly destroy everything!

CHLOE: Come on, everyone!
CHLOE: For the sake of the world…
CHLOE: We shall fight!~

PLAY - Battle of Providence (Bravely Second: End Layer)

<PRECIPICE OF OBIVLION, ROUND ONE>
The end of the world (and the game) is here! Do your absolute best to survive, alright? For starters, it’d probably be a good idea to destroy one of Trinity’s eyes. Trinity will constantly cycle between what eye is their “primary” one- that eye will be more vulnerable to damage, but also will be putting out a greater storm of attacks! Best of luck, Spherebreakers!

FUFFYPOSTINGEARLYQUEST 2: POST HARDER

Reunion

The Reunion is complete. TRINITY itself stands before him, crackling with entropy. Psi is, slowly but surely, returning to Fiction before his eyes. But Keane doesn't falter. He slams his credit-card staff into the ground, holding firm against the onslaught of oblivion even as the plastic card melts and the wood of the staff is seared with the energies of the Butterfly. He nods in assent to WARE and Chloe's declarations, before turning to Trinity.

KEANE: If I may...
KEANE: I know I'm a stranger to many here, but honestly, Trinity, do you really believe we'll simply lie down and die?
KEANE: We've withstood your entire onslaught so far, and we're still in fighting form!
KEANE: Despite all your power, all your "glory", there's nothing you can do to defeat us!
KEANE: Even if all light in the multiverse gets snuffed out, and regardless of whatever you try to throw at us, I'll keep fighting to save this world- and ALL worlds!
KEANE: You thought this would be easy? TOUGH FUCKIN' LUCK! God plays dice with the universe, and I'm rolling double sixes!
KEANE: You still think there's even an infinitesimal possibility you can win this?
KEANE: I say
NOT A CHANCE!

As he makes this declaration, the vamprobabilitant glows with shining light. As the glittering spectacle intensifies, Keane's hardlight shoulderblades shatter as four more arms burst out from his back, curling around to aim towards Trinity. He grins, showing off his long and sharp fangs, before striking his three open palms with all three fists in quick succession- creating the pealing tones of a wrestling bell.

KEANE: We're all with you, WARE- or is it Ire? Little hard to tell.
KEANE: It's a pleasure to fight by your side, regardless. Let's finish this!

Versus Trinity, round one. Begin!

---<<<000>>>---

Keane will bring in his Empowered14 and Enlightened14. :keanecheese:

This round has a turn order!

TURN ORDER:
JOE
Destiny

Echoss spawns at J19, carrying over his Teraveil and Skynet.

Monika spawns at I21 and Specials Echoss (Echoss' trait becomes Patch Note Poems), then she moves to H19.

Keane spawns at I19, and moves to H17.

Omo spawns at I21, casting Null Somnum+ on Echoss, then moving to H16.

Hexagon spawns G19, uses his Item Action to use Marionette, Ordo's himself (transferring it to Adria once he eats the Subioti during Cypress' turn), and summons Mexagon on H20.

Cypress spawns at I19, Creationmelds Keane's Empowered to Echoss, moves to H18, gives Hex the Suboiti, casts Sapping Sigil on the Cursed and Interworks it to Thymeblight. [Spiceblight?])

Echoss then commits Big Shooty. (Itemstorm + Focused Shot)
The items used are:
- THE GREAT BUNKERDUNKING
- Rapture Nia
- TConstruct Axe
- Chloe
- Orderlancer x2
- Battle Scanner
- and the Oneshot Railcannon.

For posterity, the effects of this supernuke is included:

+chloe is the one performing the attack instead of you (Echoss), still uses your buffs, deals glitch damage (she is using unsheathed attack)

After Echoss unleashes the apocalypse, Chloe takes her action (she eats a flashfreeze flan).

Ette spawns I19, moves G18, Ditto Pods herself, uses her rescue rope to save echoss from CERTAIN DEATH by dragging him to G17, applies Safety to Hex, Guardian Classic's Keane, Mexagon, and Echoss, bonus action basic attacks Keane to heal him, then she sits. :ettesit:

Finally, Keane eats the Skynet Subioti and Hecking Shoots the Cursed.

Chloe Blood Adventure, Part II: Blood of the Forefathers

As Chloe stashes Keane's dead body in the Inventory, there is a sound akin to a person falling down the stairs in the distance. Then some splashing as another Keane timeclone rounds the corner.

KEANE: Oh my god, I'm so sorry.
KEANE: Both about not warning you about the Sudden Stone Blood Straw, and about, uh, getting killed.
KEANE: Note to self: Do not use the entropic blood altar five times in a row, or else you hecking die.
KEANE: Actually, thinking about it... we probably shouldn't leave this here? It's made by the cultists of that fucked up evil eldritch abomination, isn't it?
KEANE: Like... we don't want it to animate into one of those Exhibition thingies in twenty years and kill people, or something.
KEANE: That would be mega bad and not fun for everyone involved, I think.
KEANE: ...Do we destroy it? 'S your call, as my immediate superior on basis of veterancy.

Discreetly, Keane adds some of his blood to the vial of Chloe's blood. Gotta have a full vial. No more blood shenanigans after this, I promise!

SIMPQUEST: SAKURAPOCALYPSE

Sakura expresses sustained bewilderment at the existence of vamprobabilitants. Keane frowns.

KEANE: You'd be surprised at what's real and what isn't. Realness is pretty relative to most Outsiders.
KEANE: ...Oh, but Chairians probably don't have the cultural basis of vampires, do you?
KEANE: It's, like... a Chairian that goes out at night and sleeps during the day, and drinks the sap of other Chairians as sustenance, usually from the neck.
KEANE: It's mostly a human fiction thing, I think. Apparently they're seen as really attractive?
KEANE: Dunno, humans have this weird fascination with heads and necks.

KEANE: Gah, sorry, got off track again...
KEANE: I've got a bad tendency to ramble, so this might take a bit.
KEANE: For diet... I mean, I guess I could eat those things? But, like, why the hell wouldn't you just get it distilled???
KEANE: Distilled luck is, like, a slightly glowy fluid. Usually served in chalices or wine glasses, with garnishes to alter the taste.
KEANE: I've heard clover sandwiches are pretty popular with the suburban middle class, who can't afford distillation.
KEANE: Sucks to suck, I guess.
KEANE: ...I hope I'm not boring you with this.

KEANE: Yeah, I could probably help you crack open that vault!
KEANE: ...Well, sorta. Depends on how long the code is.
KEANE: We could probably pull it off with minimal effort if the code is only three or four digits long. Six- or eight-digit codes would pose slightly more of a challenge...
KEANE: D-don't worry about paying me, though! I mean, if it's full of cash, a little bit would be nice, but mostly I'd just like to see what's inside.
KEANE: I wonder if I could peddle my services as a safe-cracker once I get settled here on this planet. Chests and vaults are relatively common here, right?

An order for wine is cancelled, in favor of beer! Keane nods, hands her the fizzy beverages, and heads (where else?) over to Chaos' shop stall, leaning on the counter as he talks to the shopkeep.

KEANE: Look, Mr. Chaoscreeper, I know we've had our differences in the past, but this is important matters relating to capitalism.
KEANE: ...
KEANE: I'd like to open a tab.

The entire stall trembles with the power of those words. Chaos himself is launched against the wall by the forces at play. Everyone knows the power of a tab.

KEANE: Her Highness requires alcohol, and lots of it.
KEANE: As such, I'm willing to open a tab- you provide the drinks she requires, and I provide you with this.

Keane slides a shiny credit card emblazoned with the dark red and light green of the McZupp Corporation logo onto the table. Upon closer inspection, it is the personal credit card of one "Emericald McZupp".

KEANE: A soul for a soul.
KEANE: Or, in this case, an indefinite amount of drinks over the course of the rest of the day in exchange for the four wacky numbers on the back of this credit card.
KEANE: Whaddaya say?

Should Chaos scan the card, he'll find it's linked to a bank account full of cash, approximately equivalent to thirteen quintillion human dollars. Of course, he's probably the only person on the planet who will accept those as currency, except maybe Chloe, Nia, and Xavier. Does he take the deal?

After the negotiations with Chaos, Keane traipses back to the princess. Er, princesses. Adria has disappeared, and in her place is smol princess Maria. Introductions are in order!

KEANE: Oh, hello, Your Highness!
KEANE: Daniethyst Keane McZupp, at your service.

He takes his second sweeping bow in two hours as he introduces himself.

KEANE: Can I get you anything, miss?
KEANE: Juice, perhaps?

Keane is attempting the BECOME BODYGUARD x2 COMBO. Terrifying.

...And then his brain finishes processing, as he turns to Sakura.

KEANE: W-wait, she's the first person not to disgust y-

Cue the trash can, eclipsing the sun with its power. Keane pales.

KEANE: ...I was g-going to ask what I did to disgust you, b-but, well...
KEANE: I think that... thing is a... much bigger problem.
KEANE: U-understatement of the year, I know...
KEANE: W-what do we do? Wh-what can we do?

(See bottom for an easy copypaste of all the debuffs)
Beginning in Pierce Stance, she teleports to R15.

- Basic attack The Combined, restoring 60% of the damage as HP due to vampiric.
- Retreat to R16.
- Gre-Blade at R14. This damages the eye thrice.
- Soul Hauler triggers thrice.
Since she's applying 4 discrete debuffs, she can use Always Watching four times for Erroblight, Blind, Ensnared, and Manaburn. This costs 20 MP.

Destiny brings along Empowered and Evasive.

After JOE, Destiny spawns and moves to G21.

The glimpse of Auten sparks a fire within Destiny.

DESTINY: You DARE threaten our realm, our people?
DESTINY: A crisis that threatens our mankind from the clutches of outsiders shall NEVER occur again.
DESTINY: Don’t be so sure this PSY of yours will see the light of the stars once more. He is six feet under, we will be sure that he STAYS that way.
DESTINY: For this end…
DESTINY: I will Cut. You. Down. Break you apart piece by damned piece. Wing by WING. I will splay the gore of your profane form across the STARS! I won’t stop until the very flickers of your dying embers SCREAM for reprieve!
DESTINY: As Crya would love, you'll become a nice piece for her arctic SET!
DESTINY: Thy punishment… is DEATH!

Destiny begins charging up. Her hair flows with a silver aura as it turns white and her eyes glow green. She releases this power from her palms, and crystals of ice begin to form within and around the Cursed.

Destiny uses Heat Death on the Combined! After Auth heals her, she uses the Ainifini.

<BATTLE: THE PRECIPICE OF OBLIVION>

Berg decides to keep the Empowered8 and Hyperactive, and uses Eager Beaver to spawn at R18, absorbing an Order Orb! He then smacks Combined twice with his Basic Attack!

-----------------------------------

Bergilmir has stared at the Reunion in increasing awe as it processed, his jaw slowly dropping in shock. Is that... actual fear in his eyes?

cA: What is... I can't... we can't...

cA: Can it even be stopped, let alone defeated? Is there any hope?

cA: The fight just now... it feels like courtly squabbles compared to... this...

cA: ...GOD.

Immediately after saying this, his face changes from fear, to anger. Anger at himself, for daring to think such things, so antithetical to himself. He shakes his body violently, then steadies himself, although his hands still tremble.

cA: ...No. We can... we MUST... defeat this monster. No matter what, Psi will fall.

cA: For everything we stand for, for everything we've FOUGHT for, for the fate of this world that we've worked so hard to save... we will defeat this unholy triune.

--------------------
what if you have like 100 DGE and you're standing behind a lamppost
The lamppost takes the hit for you, and dies.
does the lamppost just become magnetic
Yes. Yes it does.
also, overkill damage to the thing won't harm the things hiding behind it
so being next to cover terrain can't ever really be worse then not standing next to one
"Sir, the man just survived a blast from the Ultimate Cannon. It did destroy the thorn bush though."

There were no words. No words that could describe what Adria was feeling at this very moment. Something akin to pure terror. What's a very, very mortal scientist to even comprehend of this situation, this... thing? She freezes, several dozens of thoughts rushing through her mind all at once.

...Then she catches a glimpse of Chloe. A much more normal girl than anyone else in the party. She's still standing, pointing her blade at what equates to death itself. Fearless.

As when death is inevitable, why would standing around doing nothing help?

As if a metaphorical switch flicked, Adria returns to her usual calm, determined demeanor. She remembers what exactly she's fighting for.

ADRIA: "...A soldier fights not solely to vanquish what lies in front of them, but to protect what waits behind them."
ADRIA: A... friend told me that once.
ADRIA: You, abominations, are nothing compared to her. You are nothing compared to my home. You are nothing compared to everyone else, here, now.
ADRIA: Nothing. Nothing. Nothing.
ADRIA: Goodbye, Trinity. Your contributions will be naught but a footnote in the history books once we're done with you.
ADRIA: Everyone, we're almost there, come on!

Adria steels herself, ready for the footnote of the greatest fight of her life.

ACTION:

Pre-Spawn Stuff:
-Retain Unknown Organ (do stacks of Lost In Reflections stay?) and Barrier Spines from last battle. Because Adria loses Cycling in the process, all cycled spells return to normal.
-Watching Over You on Keane
-New Project: Cone, Raw Damage (If element can be Glitch, do Glitch. If not, Electric), Potency
Bug Zapper (19 MP base, 17 MP from Efficiency). Deal (25-26) Glitch/Electric damage. Range 1-2. Cone.
-Chronodust refilled

Wait for Hexagon.

Adria spawns in at (I23), moves to (H24), uses the Skynet Suboiti (+4 to Buff Levels), takes Ordo from Hexagon (+2 to Buff Levels), uses Full Attention To Praise! (+5 Buff levels at least), then Loads Bug Zapper into her weapon (if stacks of Lost In Reflections stay, -20% MP Cost) (set to Thyme damage from Ordo). Also use Hypercharge on Keane (Wound Cleansing, +33% to mending/energized)

...

Hannah gently pushes her head into the back of the couch. Comfy as it was, the fact that there might just be no other way around telling Maria what happened remains. She sighs, hesitant to go out and do something about it. If there was one thing she was scared of, it was the dreaded social interaction regarding sensitive topics.

HANNAH: ...ugh, d-damnit...

...While Hannah mopes, face buried in the couch... well, who other than Michaela would step up to the couch. Despite her very neutral demeanor, she looks directly into Nia's eyes as if to say "I got this."

Carefully, she slips a... letter of sorts to Hannah, who feels the distinct sliding of paper into her palm. Michaela swiftly leaves back to her position out of sight as Hannah pokes her head out from the cushions.

HANNAH: ...

She stares at the letter for a good while, though her eyes aren't doing that distinctive reading motion. She then-

~rrrRRIIiiiIIP~

-loudly tears the entire thing in half and chucks the remains to the side, startling the entire crew at the game table (and behind the pillar) into paralysis. With the entire table looking on in concern, they only find Hannah, barely containing her frustration. She growls. But she knows what she must do before the main event.

Nia's request.

As if synchronized with... something to help keep her temper down, she addresses Nia one final time.

HANNAH: ...I'll do it.
HANNAH: I figure you're... about to be called back shortly, and Maria's gonna come back here too.
HANNAH: If anyone asks... especially Maria...
HANNAH: Tell them I was the sole cause of it.
HANNAH: And that I did it to protect everyone, Venia especially included.

HANNAH: "A soldier fights not solely to vanquish what lies in front of them, but to protect what waits behind them."
HANNAH: I... I remember now.
HANNAH: Sophie's dad told us that once, before he was lost to a powerful monster.
HANNAH: I've done that... at least once around here.

HANNAH: Now it's time to do it again.
HANNAH: Here.

Hannah hands Nia the Ordovenom to take with her to the fight.

HANNAH: Inject directly into the insects' eyeballs. Or coat them. Doesn't matter.
HANNAH: Other than that... tell Venia what's happening. I don't want to leave her in the dark like the last half-dozen times.
HANNAH: ...Good luck.
HANNAH: And never forget what you're fighting for.

Once Nia leaves, Hannah tenses up to a boiling point once more as her head slowly turns to face the pillar.

HANNAH: As for you...
HANNAH: Yeah, I know you're back there, get your butt out here, now!
HANNAH: Or do I have to rip you out here myself?

The only path forward
Silence. Then, a very audible yet hesitant step forward from behind the pillar. Michaela knew that this was going to suck for her. But she can't refuse. She can't refuse.

Of course, Hannah hears the footstep. She's not satisfied.

HANNAH: Ugh for peck's sake...

She vaults over the back of the couch, coming face to face with her own mother. Or, well, face to lower body. That changes almost immediately as Shelly gets yanked leg-deep into Hannah's shadow, not just startling everyone within sight and earshot with the surprised yelp, but bringing both of them to Hannah's eye level and preventing either party from just walking off. There was no struggle. Only confrontation.

It's time to end this once and for all.

Hannah stares her anxious mother directly in the eyes. It's like Shelly's a completely different person... like she's just seen her worst nightmares come to life.

HANNAH: I don't know what the hell you were planning there, but cut it out!
SHELLY: H-Hannah I-
HANNAH: -am gonna make up some lame excuse, is that it?
HANNAH: Just like every other time in this miserable string of events?

Stunned silence.

SHELLY: I-I-
HANNAH: Do you understand how badly I suffered through this?
HANNAH: Do you understand where I even started?
HANNAH: How many times you could've come in to actually help!
HANNAH: But nooo, it was all just pecking about in the background.
HANNAH: Sending these... worthless letters to me from there, not doing a thing of value!

SHELLY: B-but-
HANNAH: But what? There are no "but"s here!
HANNAH: You chose to remain in the background, even after showing yourself to several of us! And basically promising to help by the way!
HANNAH: You chose to not help with anything regarding the murder, instead deciding to literally dismember someone entirely unrelated after the fact!
HANNAH: Yeah, I know about that, their hand was in the inventory while I was making stuff. And yeah, they probably deserved it. Yet still, I don't like it... because it's stupid!
HANNAH: And then you chose not to help me in my times of emotional need, or even physical for that matter!
HANNAH: And it's been like this since the island days!
HANNAH: I had to eat rotting fish back then for peck's sake, and not once did I see you come to help in any way!
HANNAH: Why should I ever have listened to you?
HANNAH: Or, heck, even brought you with me off-planet in the first place!?
HANNAH: Why!?

HANNAH: Answer me, you bloody coward!!

As Hannah's breaths grew heavy... There was nothing. Nothing Shelly could say would refute a damn thing Hannah just said. Nothing. And with that realization, Shelly breaks eye contact with Hannah, pathetically looking down at her daughter's feet, shaking.

HANNAH: ...Nothing.
HANNAH: Why am I not pecking surprised.
HANNAH: Go on then. Sputter out your damnable excuse, whatever that is.

After what feels like an eternity, Michaela finally responds, breath pained and unsteady.

SHELLY: N-no... there's no excuse.
SHELLY: There's... no excuse.

HANNAH: Oh, are you finally waking the peck up?
HANNAH: I thought I'd never see the day-

DOROTHY: That, that's enough, Hannah!

To save everyone the trouble of listening to Hannah continuously spewing venom at her own mother any longer, Dorothy stands up and, from her spot at the table-

*SLAP*
HANNAH: A-ah!

-slaps Hannah right across the face with a firm gust of wind, knocking her off-balance (yet still standing) and straight out of her enraged trance long enough for Dorothy to get closer and talk some sense into Hannah. Though, it also looks like Sophia's getting an anti-magic field generator and her umbrella ready in case things go very south.

DOROTHY: Hannah, Hannah this i-isn't going to solve anything!
DOROTHY: W-why are you doing this!?
DOROTHY: This... this is j-just... N-NO!
DOROTHY: Release her t-this instant!

HANNAH: W-why should I?
DOROTHY: D-don't tell me you forgot about yesterday-

Hannah instantly snaps completely out of it at the mere idea of what happened yesterday. The great argument between her and Venia.

Hannah instantly shoves Michaela out of her shadow. The latter shoots out head-first, flying a short distance upward. She clumsily falls on her rear, back onto solid ground. She curls into a little ball in terror. It dawns on Hannah just what she's done. The two girls look at each other. Sophia, seeing the situation as defused, stuffs the generator back into the inventory.

HANNAH: O-oh... oh.
DOROTHY: Y-yeah...
HANNAH: ...
DOROTHY: T-that... was uncalled for.

In her unsteady voice, Michaela speaks up.

SHELLY: I-it's... not unjustified, t-though...
HANNAH: ...
DOROTHY: H-huh...?

She lets down one of her legs from the ball in an attempt to relax.

SHELLY: All of... a-all of what Hannah said...
SHELLY: I-it's... true.

The area hangs in silence for a moment too long.

SHELLY: ...I... did do a-all that out of... out of cowardice.
SHELLY: E-ever since that moment... e-ever since that moment, all I knew, all I understood... all I-I felt... was terror's... cold, heartless embrace...
SHELLY: I... I-I didn't want that to... to s-spread...

HANNAH: ...?
SHELLY: It... e-extended to work, too...
SHELLY: What... w-what I found while working was...
SHELLY: ...
SHELLY: I-it's like...
SHELLY: I... stared into t-the abyss too long.
SHELLY: It stared... it s-stared back.
SHELLY: I-it just... it... it j-just...

HANNAH: A-an abomination...?
SHELLY: I-it was... the r-realization that...

Hannah steels herself, almost as if expecting some grand revelation. She instinctively goes to plug Dorothy's ears before she shakes her head at her.

SHELLY: W-we're... nothing but... f-fictional works...

Hannah blinks. Dorothy looks down at her hands in horror, but Hannah starts... giggling?

SHELLY: H... h-huh?

Hannah ceases giggling after a bit.

HANNAH: H-heh, you... had me worried for a sec t-there.
HANNAH: Y... yeah, I already know.
HANNAH: I, um, got the sense of that while working with these guys.

SHELLY: S-so... I was... w-worried for no reason?
HANNAH: ...Yeah kinda.
SHELLY: I-I...

Michaela looks down in shame. Dorothy looks over at Hannah, concerned. She tugs at her sleeve.

DOROTHY: S-so... w-we're not... r... real?

Hannah pulls Dorothy a little closer.

HANNAH: Nah, quite the opposite, actually.
HANNAH: We're as real as can be.
HANNAH: Sure, maybe we're just characters in some bozo's writing, but we're still real in that way.
HANNAH: Our moments recorded on a page somewhere, and our personalities and growth remembered on those pages.
HANNAH: And even when they cease writing, we'll still go along our daily lives until the next time we're mentioned, if at all.

Both Shelly and Dorothy blink, wide-eyed in shock. At the very least, the latter isn't having doubts anymore.

DOROTHY: U-um... that makes... sense? But...
DOROTHY: U-um...

SHELLY: H-how... do you know t-these things?
SHELLY: I... had to be told t-that by Echoss...

Hannah stops herself. Yeah, how did she know all that?

HANNAH: Um I... I-I dunno actually it just. kinda... lept out at me, or something??
HANNAH: B-but that's for later, w-we'll figure it out later!

DOROTHY: U-um... okay? (you're... acting really weird, though...)

Shelly exhales. That's a big thing off her chest. Time to continue.

SHELLY: ...W-well... um...
SHELLY: I-I... I think if I... uh... told you sooner, I'd get a. Very... different response?

HANNAH: Okay you know what I'll let you have that one.
HANNAH: I'd probably have Dorothy's reaction back then, so... yeah.
HANNAH: My question is... what about here, on Sussui, with everything that's gone on?

Shelly looks down again and shakes her head.

SHELLY: T-that... w-well...
SHELLY: I... have n-nothing for that one-

DOROTHY: I-I mean... you'd be going against... y'know, Venia? Who, um, went crazy back then?
DOROTHY: Y-you at least have... that, right...?

SHELLY: No, I should have stepped in and put a-a stop to it, d-damn the consequences to my own body!
SHELLY: If I'd been there a second soon-

HANNAH: ...Looking back at that, though, I think I kinda needed that kick in the arse.
HANNAH: Except... maybe less painful.
HANNAH: Even still, jumping into that fight as peck was being slung would have been...
HANNAH: ...kinda stupid.

SHELLY: ...
HANNAH: So second to last thing, what's the deal with the hand?
SHELLY: W-well, it was from a captured H-Hawkeye-
HANNAH: Was her name Biflora?
SHELLY: ...Y-yes.
HANNAH: Oh, well, fair pla-
SHELLY: While in Prison.
HANNAH: -y oh.
HANNAH: yeah that was really stupid of you
HANNAH: ...Wait, PRISON!?
HANNAH: So, you're telling me, your actual, this-timeline self is in PRISON.

SHELLY: ...Y-yes.
HANNAH: ...I'd be glad it's our prison and that Nedilia's lenient as they are on sentences. Anywhere else and that's a severe warcrime with punishments to match.
HANNAH: (not that making and using superpoisons is any better tbh)

SHELLY: I-I know...
HANNAH: Which means you're probably gonna be in rehab for a long while.
HANNAH: Which is... a fitting segway into my last point...

...Oh jeez. Dorothy can already tell where this was going, and braces for the incoming shitstorm of emotions. Hannah drops the calm demeanor and starts raising her voice again, despite Dorothy's presence. Shelly flinches as Hannah speaks.

HANNAH: All this time... from the Mafia incident to our arrival on Neo Nedilia...
HANNAH: Why did you just... not exist in my life!?
HANNAH: For years, i-it felt like I was abandoned!
HANNAH: You never came home, never went to find me, n-nothing like that!
HANNAH: C-couldn't you've, I dunno, slipped out of whatever you were doing to come visit every once in a while or, anything!?
HANNAH: And now you're gonna be gone even longer!
HANNAH: I... I-I...

Hannah struggles to continue, spouting significant stutters every time she attemps to speak. Tears well up from the darkest depths of her soul, making everything about it worse.

...But the message prior was clear as day. And Shelly couldn't suppress the tears either.

SHELLY: ...I-I've been... thinking about that... I've been thinking about that e-ever since I came here.
SHELLY: T-the years of... w-well, it really was... u-unintentional abandonment at this point...
SHELLY: I... I-I never wanted that. I never... e-ever wanted that.
SHELLY: I-I... always wanted to be by your side... a-always... ever, ever since you were born.
SHELLY: I just... d-didn't want to draw attention to you... a-after all the incidents...

HANNAH: W-what are you saying!?
SHELLY: I... w-wanted you to grow into a wonderful daughter...
SHELLY: I-I didn't... I didn't...

SHELLY: I-I didn't want you to die prematurely like your father...
SHELLY: I knew I h-had to keep you hidden f-from everyone, s-so I didn't visit...
SHELLY: S-so you could keep a low p-profile...
SHELLY: A-and I was so obsessed with t-the topic of my worst fears t-that I...

SHELLY: ...

HANNAH: ...
DOROTHY: ...

Shelly sighs and shakes her head in shame.

SHELLY: ...I-I... know t-this... e-excuses nothing...
SHELLY: I-I was just... s-so scared of losing you t-that I...

SHELLY: I'm... I-I'm so... so sorry, Hannah...
SHELLY: I-I've failed you as your mother... m-more than I could've ever imagined...

HANNAH: ...I-I...

A long silence. Then...

???: Fear...

From out of seemingly nowhere, a deep, bellowing voice starts eminating from Hannah's left wrist. With everyone startled by it, Hannah immediately pulls her sleeve up to reveal... a bracelet, intricately detailed, glowing a faint grey, pulsating with each word spoken.

Needless to say, everyone involved was freaked the hell out.

???: Fear is the most primal force of life there is.
???: No matter the context it's used in, it is a helpful tool, alerting those who feel it to potential danger.
???: However, too much of it causes paranoia. It is more often than not damaging to everyone who suffers from it, and those associated with them.
???: It can lead to unfortunate impulsive behaviors such as bouts of violence, constant obsessiveness, and distancing oneself from everyone.

???: Perhaps what Michaela has done is inexcusable.
???: But... is it unforgivable?
???: Something to consider.

Another long, incredibly awkward silence. Hannah doesn't take her eyes off her mother, and Shelly does the same for her daughter. Dorothy waits for the silence to be broken, barely making a sound herself. And, after what feels like an eternity...

Hannah starts bawling like a baby and leaps towards Michaela, arms outstretched, ensnaring her mother in a warm hug. Michaela herself chokes back a sob as she reciprocates the hug.

HANNAH: AAAH
HANNAH: I MISSED YOU SO MUCH MOM

SHELLY: I... *sniff* I missed you too...
SHELLY: M-my darling... m-my darling...

As Michaela's shoulder becomes stianed with tears, Dorothy softly smiles at the scene. Finally... finally, a girl and her mother properly reunited, issues sorted, and the healing process commencing. Not wanting to disturb them further, she slips off towards the game table where she hi-fives Sophia. Job well done!

Both were still wondering about the bracelet, though... but now is not the time.

Hannah and Shelly remain in each other's embrace for a good, long while, savouring the moment, before they inevitably have to part again.

...A Hannah Timeclone appears on the couch, comfy as can be.

HANNAH: Haven't used one of these in a while... but I think it'll be more appropriate for... future stuff.

"Boy, that plant looks diseased."
[Battle]
(GP expenditure: 3 GP -> Eterna, 2 GP -> Goneblossom.
JOE spawns on I19 (bringing StubbornOrdo 1, his only status effect, with him. Does Chairheir make it StubbornOrdo 5? If anything else good counts as a status effect, he takes it too.), Burns 20 HP on overgrowth, moves to G16, Warpmelons Projection1 to G15, continues movement to H15(this ends movement due to ZoCs), Crop Signs H11, and Swift-casts Terraform(4 tiles. Priorities include: Keane, Kalis, and Nidra get Fortified tiles if in range, fortified to P22, spare tiles if there are any make Geo tiles in different colors... in reasonably central blank places, doesn't matter much specifically where.)! He then feeds Projection1 another Warpmelon to warp it to ... somewhere in the bunkerdunking and crop sign radius it does not matter where, uses Royal Insurance to O23, and eats a Knowledgepoint. With Knowledgeable 20 (this is enough to max out all of the Mirror Image's scaling, no need to compute it in detail), he casts Mirror Image to P22 and retreats to P23.

(when the Knowledgeable runs out, his only spell cast with it is Mirror Image. I have no idea what casting Mirror image at someone entails, but the bauble targets an ally, I guess.)

[World]
[Craft1]
JOE looks at the Creation Essence.
The Creation Essence... Exists.
JOE looks closer at the Creation Essence.
The Creation Essence... Exists.
JOE squints.
The Creation Essence... Exists.
After deep contemplation of the nature of individual perception, JOE concludes that no, this weird thing doesn't look all that red. That's pretty weird! He could've sworn he was trying to harvest flux.
The Creation Essence... Exists.
JOE shrugs and decides to do something else, tossing the Creation Essence back into the inventory. (un?)fortunately, he misses, and one unit of Creation Essence tumbles into the consumables inventory, into the Food section...
as in, directly into the header for the Food section, 'Food:'.
Completely unbeknowst to JOE, who is busy with his next craft, the Creation Essence reacts with the Creation Essence (presumably) present in the header, mirroring its nature, mirroring its form... recrystallising in a stable shape entirely unlike the inventory indicator it came from. The Food: looks at JOE.
JOE hums merrily as he ponders the Fluxblade Scroll.
The Food: continues looking at JOE.
JOE peruses the inventory for something to write on and ponders the benefits of pouring fluxblood over synthetic skin.
The Food: concludes it would be a waste to spend its time killing him and goes to sleep.

[Intention: Food:, a Food item that exemplifies the nature of Food items: granting buffs rather than healing. But like, with every buff. possibly including Elite and Vetra-*shot*]

[Craft2]
as alluded to above, JOE plans to write a scroll! but, not for Fluxblade, that's more about the general idea about Scrolls that cast Spells as Item Actions. JOE's spell of choice today is Channel Magic! First, he subscribes to channel magic, of course. he needs a blueprint to work off. Then- as noted above- he ponders the benefits of making a scroll out of synthetic skin mixed with fluxblood to make it real skin, but concludes that's too much 'Dark Magic' and 'Blood Magic', not generic magic. Plus, we are fighting the Diseased Flux Plant:tm:. So instead, he retrieves some Silverwood Logs, slashes them into bits, turns the bits into pulp, and makes them into Paper. I could go into full detail but I'd just be copying from wikipedia with some artistic liberties, so suffice it to say this process traditionally uses cooking liquor to remove some problem part of wood, and clay is optional but recommended for easier writing.
Having made some Silverwood Paper, JOE rolls it up into a(or several?) scroll(s) around two small golden rods, Makes some ink by taking Thyme Matter and then mixing it with Replicant Matter, and carefully transcribes Channel Magic's channel page onto the scroll(...as well as he can, considering his only ink color is purple).

[Intention: like the Fluxblade spell scroll, but it casts Channel Magic and it has the Status Clone option unlocked. and also craft multiple if possible.]

House

Blacklight just stares at the gigantic trashcan in the sky. He remains silent for a long time as he processes what that's supposed to represent. Then, he snickers.

"A trashcan. Funny."

A pause. Then, a sigh.

"At least, it would be funny if it did not coincide with the fact that the only ones who can stop this from happening are already doing everything they can, and we're not really able to influence it in any way. Not with this... thrice-accursed thymefield in the way. I will do what I can, at least."

He turns his attention over to the others in the house. While he can overhear a lot of ruckus from the general direction of wherever Hannah is, his main focus is on those he's been speaking to already. Sakura and Keane. (And I guess also Maria since she's part of the gang now.)

"Ominous colossal sky trashcan aside, how's everyone else doing? I'm sure there is a better place to sit if anyone wants front row seats for the fight going on."

Zone 6 - The Eclipsed Citadel

"Of course. Of course there is a scourgeking now..."

Lato groans in frustration, then morphs her Everything into... honestly, it looks like a chainsaw longsword. She then charges in and hacks apart the nearest Seeker, then Overloads her shield to keep herself safe as she moves to hack into the next one, then the next one, then the next one... While doing that, she glances at the mini plushie version of herself.

"I am in need of assistance. The forces down here are more threatening than I had anticipated. Go, little one, requisition additional help."

Battle in the Sphere - The Precipice of Oblivion

Keep empowered and vampiric.

Calibri blinks. His form flickers into one of those variants composed almost entirely of eyes, and every single one of those eyes blinks before he reverts back to human. That still hasn't cleared things up for him. Oblivion. Entropy. Too much swirling hostility. And worst of all...

"...what. the hell. is that."

He can see images. Everything else is normal for him, the text is still there even if it's really ominous. But the butterflies, the iris... To someone who has spent his entire time here seeing everyone and everything as descriptions of themselves? Real images are blindingly incomprehensible.

For some time, Calibri remains still, his mind trying to process things that he simply wasn't prepared to process. It's just too much for him to figure out on his own. Too different.

...But luckily, there are others who can process it better. Calibri is snapped out of his bluescreened state by the feeling of a hand on his shoulder. He turns a little to see who it is...

"Now is not the time to be caught with a processing error, brother. We have a duty to fulfill."

Calibri doesn't respond at first. He's still having issues. Then, he feels a hand on the other shoulder, turning and leaning a little to see who it is at his other side. A particular albino fellow smiles back at him.

"We're going to be fine, you'll see. We handled everything else so far, didn't we? This won't be any different."

Calibri stares blankly, then sighs.

"I really hope you're right about that. But... no, there's definitely something different this time. I just... don't really know how to explain it."

Verdana glances at Lato, who meets his gaze and nods at him, deferring to him to respond. So the albino tries again, doing his best to look directly into Calibri's eyes to make sure the blue-clad lad is paying attention. A bright red light begins to glow around Verdana's form, a beacon of inspiration standing out among the sea of confusing and ominous signs. And Calibri's eyes widen.

He can see his brother's actual form. Not in text, but in image appearance.

"Have faith in us. Have faith in your allies. And have faith in yourself. Whatever that thing showed to you that rattled you, it doesn't matter. Working together, we shall remain unassailable."

Lato smiles a little at hearing that, one of the rare times she's ever had an expression, then nods as a similar light glows off her. While not the same as Verdana's glow, her light is at least similar. A determined sense of resolution shines bright around her form. As Calibri turns to meet her gaze, noticing the light that was coming off her, and he seems almost taken aback.

He can see his sister's actual form too.

"Think about our purpose on this world, and what you have been through in order to reach this point in time. I have not been with you for this journey, so I may only speculate as to what was involved. But I imagine you have already faced many trials prior. This is simply the final trial."

Calibri remains silent. He closes his eyes, turning forward once more. When he opens his eyes again, he too has a bright light shining around him, and fitting the chromatic themes, his is bright blue. He glances down at one of his hands, noticing that he can actually see it now. Not as a description, but...

"Huh..."

Then, he grins.

"I probably needed that... You know what? It doesn't matter what this butterfly, or butterflies, has become. Or what it's trying to do. We're gonna fight the damn thing no matter what. And..."

"We will."
"Do it."
"Together."

The bright lights swirl together into an incandescent mixture of primary colours, concepts, and motivations.

A union shall be met with another union.

Action begins here

Calibri spawns at I9 and immediately pops Memorian Fusion Neo.

...After the write-up there, it feels kind of excessive to do yet another one. So just imagine there's an excessively over-the-top cutscene of the trio fusing into one form here.

But with a slightly different result this time. Due to tampering with the ability to make sure it can't break down the individuality of the different parts, there's nothing to hold the trio back from establishing proper connections with one another. And so once the lightshow concludes and people can actually see what's happening, it appears there's just one primarily white-clad person there. Nothing too fancy.

...He does look really bishie, though. And once he brushes some dust off his outfit and speaks...

"...I won't lie, this feels really weird. I? Us? Something like that. This must be how those giant anime robots feel. Don't worry, though! We're all still in here. And we can talk independently if any of you want to chat with us. Just give us some time to work out what is going on, and I will try to handle the battle as best I can, alright? Lato taking point."

With that, Lato becomes the fronting personality of the fusion. I know that going off raw mechanics it doesn't work that way but plz I like my RP/lorestuff.

Then, the fusion arranges this setup for the Everything - (Normal) (Ranger) (Cautious) (Thyme).

Then, the fusion moves to H16 and shoots the Cursed. Also since Calibri and Verdana are not the dominant personality, use Barrier and Blade. No retreat unless someone communicates that they want to be on H16 later.

Sphere Waiting Room

Verdana and Lato have long since marched into the location of the battle. But it seems like there won't be absolutely nothing left going on here.

A certain gray lady promptly crashlands into the waiting room area, bounces off the tree, and lands on an empty spot on the nearest couch, which creaks under her weight. She sits there silently for a moment, then shakes herself off and takes a look around.

"Howdy y'all. Wha's goin' on in 'ere?"

Zone 4 - The Church of Helix

For some reason there's an Engie drone standing on the church, staring up at the sky. Somehow the grey iti around here didn't notice him earlier, but now they almost definitely should. At least, they should notice what he's staring at, because that is a colossal trash can in the sky. Not exactly an everyday occurrence. And then, Engie comments on the situation.

"I can sense godmodding energy."

He pulls out More Gun and tightens his grip on it. Thymefield sparks emit from the functional part of the hammer-minigun-mashup-thing. He glances up at a different part of the sky.

"...I sure hope you guys have this situation under control. There's nowhere near enough time to put the gang back together if that goes wrong."

He continues standing there. The poor grey iti almost certainly have no clue what the hell he's on about or who he was talking to. But a different audience might understand.

Auth barely looks shaken as WARE releases the Trinity. Seems like he almost expected it.

AUTH: Alright then. This is how it's folding out? I don't see anything we can't beat.
AUTH: Hope you weren't expecting us to fold over something like this. All of you, you are nothing to us.

Auth floats aside to Q20, and Special Revives Kalis back into existence.

He then frowns, looking at nothing in particular, before focusing back on the Trinity.

Alicia grins as Hannah correctly determines the nature of Twin Psychic Powers.

ALICIA: Mm hmm! Sure can, what gave it away? Besides the whole "knowing who you are before you can introduce yourself" thing, tee hee.
ALICIA: Don't all twins finish each other's san-
ALICIA: ...fine, sentences. This is just a more advanced version of that.

Alicia looks around as things start getting wild.

ALICIA: Can't wait for this field to come down, seriously. I feel like I'm being shackled all nasty-like.
ALICIA: Suppose that's one feeling we can't quite share. It feels wrong not to be able to warp time as freely.

As someone wicked, fundamentally, I disagree. One may always repent. I may have done terrible things in the past. That's why I help this coward now.
