Read Messagelog?

Angel_Inari: Monika, please respond.
I cannot take this amount of potential stress.

MonikaTheJust: ...I'm fine.
I just needed a minute to compose myself.

Angel_Inari: siiiiiiiiigh
don't scare me like this

KawaiiKitsune124: Hey, I love the romance here, but can we get on with the show?
There are one too many birds in the sky right now, and two too many nooses occupied!

MonikaTheJust: Right. That should be our first priority, anyways.
Angel_Inari: well then
engage bullshit:tm: thrusters, we're going in

[color=#3333CC]In what is a totally good move, Monika moves to L9 and casts the almighty Bag of Tricks. Assuming that, somehow, Monika survives (which she probably did), she retreats to M10.

The Artist moves on over to the most likely no longer empty Set, adding a point to MP on the way.

Mr. Krabs inspects the saplings at the end of the forest of Departure. He then relocates himself to the Set with an oversized shovel made of whydoyouevencareium. He immediately targets the Thyme Matter surrounding the Set, channeling his power!

A giant mole proceeds to abruptly enter the atmosphere above Sussui. It is ridiculously strong, alas for the THymium field, for when it enters it becomes only moderately dangerous. It's still a darned good digger, though, and boy does it start a -diggin. Diggy diggy hole, diggy diggy hole! Except it digs completely irrelevant holes that mean nothing. But that doesn't matter! The power of hole-digging has been infused into the area. The Mole proceeds to implode. Mr. Krabs infuses it into his shovel and strikes each and every patch of Thyme Matter.

If done right, some fo the Thyme Matter will be instantly transposed into the inventory, hopefully taking away a few squares of the stuff safely.

With that done, Mr. Krabs braces himself for the probable abomination Toast summoned. Well, on the assumption that we've actually summoned the abomination.

Ziah drops to the ground, rubbing his neck and taking a few deep breaths.

Well, that’s enough hanging around. In other noose, it’s time for me to help.

Satisfied with his absolutely tasteless puns, Ziah moves to M11 and fires off a Triple Revolution at Gallow

these puns are gonna be the death of me...

Author acts first in the Hanging Garden fight, moving to F8 and scanning the Gallow.

Then, he explodes in a swirl of ink, summoning a Spectre. It runs off immediately through the Forest of Departure, over to the Chairians.

uA: Um, excuse me! Are any of you hurt? I'm a medic, please let me take care of you!

Auth does his job, and helps to take care of any injuries the Chairians have.

uA: Um, we've taken care of the Gallow now, we think. So, uh, it should be a little safer around here.

He smiles, trying to help calm the Chairians.

uA: Er, what are your names?

Irongutta puts another point in SPC.

He could almost smell yet another battle brewing. Hypothetically, of course. Irongutta is drawn to The Set, where he waits alongside Toast with anticipation.

The Voice chats to the Informant.
"Put simply, our motives -- in general, the people here are somewhat disorganized -- are to destroy the Sphere before about a week goes by and it explodes and causes destruction throughout this entire universe, or possibly more. Information is sparse. Since the current government seems to want to preserve the Sphere, and you are fighting the government... well, they are both your and our enemies. Alliance would likely be helpful."

"As for aiding in the likely-inevitable fight against Acacia, I believe most of us would welcome your help. Obviously, we are a ... diverse group, so not all of us will agree, but I believe the general tenor of opinion is welcoming."

He then goes over and waits at the Set.

...He also puts another point into INT.

<ROUND TWENTY-EIGHT>
Toast starts by conversing with the Informant. The Voice also chimes in as well. He jots a few notes down on a small little pad he's brought with him. He seems... somewhat uninterested.

INFORMANT: Random people, all together to stop the end of the universe.
INFORMANT: Even if the whole "end of the universe" thing is unfeasible... you are aligned with our objectives. I suppose we could send in our men...
INFORMANT: But, that whole "non-lethal" thing? I don't think we'd abide to that.
INFORMANT: They're maniacs, the lot of them. Most of the Chair Legion would love to see the Sphere flown over to Tabletopia to end their civilization as they know it. I don't think they give a single gorilla about the lives of others.
INFORMANT: Besides, they've signed up for this sort of thing, joining the army and all. I think we can afford to kill a few of them.

While talking with the Informant, Toast +1's her INT, and pieces together a fishing rod from a fishing rod, a Soulblossom, 2 Luminous Crystals (20 Credits), 2 Shadow Crystals, 1 Goneblossom, 1 Feather Rope Coil, and 1 Green Sap Blob Thingy. This creates the Arcane Angler! Toast then talks with Chloe, and offers to teach her some wizard magics.

CHLOE: H-Huh? I could really learn magic?
CHLOE: I'm just a normal girl, though. Is it really possible...?
CHLOE: But, if it is... sign me up!

Toast then heads over to The Set, and sets the holo-projector down on the stage. She slips in the Cursed Disk, and holds her fishing rod at the ready. There's a gentle hum as a female figure in an orange dress appears from the center of the device. It's clearly a holographic projection. She begins to sing to nobody in particular, her voice ringing throughout the Set.

PLAY - _n C_rcl_s

...Her form begins to distort as the song begins, the singer's form flickering with purple static. Toast hears a rustling from the decaying woods from behind the stage. An Iti comes out. It appears to be a humanoid female, dressed in both black and white. A singluar purple orb adorns her face, paying no attention to Toast. It stares at the dancer, enthralled by her voice. As the singer's song goes on, her body destabilizes further, prompting the Iti to float across the ground towards her. Still paying absolutely no attention to Toast, the Iti examines the faltering form.

The Iti's movements grow erratic as it tries to reach out for the singer. Its hands phase through her holographic body, and there's nothing it can do as there's the sound of shattering of plastic. The Holographic Projector spits out several shards of disk, coinciding with the disappearance of the singer. The stage is silent. Floating over the projector, the Iti turns to face Toast. It pulls out an umbrella, which it unfurls above its immense, dress-like body. Its "eye" gazes at Toast as several Hounds spill out of the woods, each of them with fangs barred...

You are accosted by...

[big][big][big][big]REISZ[/big][/big][/big][/big]
The Adoring Fan

Emerald then +1's his DEF, and heads over to the Set to join Toast. Terry then +1's his RES and attempts some crafting, but the universe appears to be discontent with the amount of T3 items that already exist, and promptly ceases the crafting. It'll automatically succeed once the boss is defeated, however. JOE then plants some Soulblossoms in the Farm after harvesting his crop. He decides to plant 6 in each lot, as to leave some for crafting purposes. He also plants his stockpiled Lumipod. Bergilmir then yells at the Informant about dishonor.

INFORMANT: Honor? Who cares about honor?
INFORMANT: I think honor died the time we developed those Iti-attracting pods, and when they authorized the usage of fire-based weaponry on us.
INFORMANT: Look, we don't NEED your help. If you don't approve of our ways, that's simply too bad.

Moniker then +1's his HP, while the Man +1's his STR. The latter of the two also loots the empty chest. The Artist then hikes over to the Set, while Mr. Krabs follows, unable to actually scoop up any of the Thyme Matter due to the presence of Reisz. On the way though, he examines some saplings. While the saplings are in fact ordinary saplings, each one has a name associated with it. Perhaps its a memorial of sorts? The Author then tends to the wounds of those in the Forest of Departure, mending some partially cracked necks.

BRUTE: Well. Thank you.
BRUTE: Our names are classified, though-
LANCER: he's prinus, i'm (red)gum, and we don't know swordboy's name
LANCER: he never told us
LANCER: in fact, i don't think he can talk
LANCER: we just call him twig

Twig shrugs, whilst Prinus raises his voice.

PRINUS: You idiot! Why would you-
GUM: oh no they're going to use our names and fake our identities, oh nooooooo
GUM: yep. as people who aren't made of wood, they can do that real good
GUM: maybe they'll make fun of our names, gasp
GUM: wouldn't that be agonizing
PRINUS: THIS IS SERIOUS
GUM: no not really

The two continue to bicker for a moment, while Twig tugs on Prinus's arm, before pointing to the West.

PRINUS: Ugh. Let's just get going before the Gallow comes and eats us.
GUM: actually they said they killed it, or are at least working on that
PRINUS: Sure. Sure they did. In fact, I don't think most would believe it unless they came over with its head on a stick.
PRINUS: Anyway! Let's go. Perhaps we'll see you later.

The group leaves to the west without another word. Irongutta heads to the south from there, eventually arriving at the Set. He also +1's his SPC. The Voice follows, +1ing his INT in the process.

<THE HANGING GARDENS, ROUND FOUR>
The Gallow has been slain! With it... not much has changed, but it'll certainly be a weight off your shoulders, and the Chairians of Sussui. Perhaps it's time to press forward? Or maybe you can make use of the zone and its... interesting decor. At least there's plenty of new crafting materials to use, and a skill point!

<THE SET, ROUND ONE>
Reisz isn't too deadly by herself, but watch out for her Hounds; there'll be quite a few of them throughout this battle, and they'll all try and rip you to bits! Also be wary of her traits; while she has SHP, her resistances are higher, and Hounds won't act like how they normally do! It'd be best to end this quickly.

Post-battle, Boshi and Hat Kid walk over to the informant.
"(Illegal weaponry on this planet, I'm guessing. I honestly can't blame you for using them when the other side's using them.)"
"(But think about this for a sec... perhaps there's something deeper going on within the legion.)"
"(Some of the Legion we met earlier and pacified did seem like actual people... perhaps they were conscripted against their will? Or are merely ignorant?)"
"(Of course, some of them may genuinely be eager to help the higher-ups. From what I've gathered from... eavesdropping... this Acacia wants a fight.)"
"(And a fight she shall get.)"
"(Whatever the case... war. War never changes. No side is in the right, so why bother with morality if it won't do anything?)"

Boshi tosses a bag of Gunpowder and an Aurora Crystal to the Informant, with instructions on how to make it combust just in case. "(Make good use of that, y'hear? Just know we won't be needing immediate assistance with her.)"
"(Just a gift from one war veteran to another. The war veteran being... her.)"

He points to Hat Kid, who pokes her head out. "Hi"

It was at this moment that someone notices that something was off about the duo... telepathy, perhaps? Yea, definitely. Doesn't matter much though, I guess.

Boshi sniffs the air again.

"(Oh goddammit, another Eliti battle.)"

Before the duo head towards the Set, they do some crafting.

MATERIALS:
-Teslathrower
-Titanium (x3)
-Gold (x1)
-Wire Bits (x2)
-Aurora Crystal (x1)

Boshi takes the Teslathrower, and takes out some of the needlessly heavy parts, such as the Barrel. Studying the things carefully, he recreates the parts with Titanium, making sure to put them where the parts once were in a good way.

He then coats the interior of the barrel with a sheet of Gold (because it conducts electricity very well), re-wiring some of the internals to this sheet using Wire Bits. He slots the Aurora Crystal into the front of the barrel.

After doing a quick test fire, the arcs of electricity grew in heat (and therefore energy), and there was a very concentrated part focused around the Aurora Crystal.

Teslathrower Light (T2)
(4-4)x3 Electric Damage. 1-2/1
+1 INT (Next-lowest priority, remove second if needed), -1 DEF
Weapon Skill: Surging Blast. Deal (6-7) Electric damage to a target. Range 3-4. (<- lowest priority; nerf or remove if needed) Basic attacks are a cone. Doesn't harm allies. Scales with STR at a half rate.

MATERIALS:
-Zen Ribbon
-Silkweed Bundles (x6)
-Gold Ingots (x1)
-Gallow Feather (x4)
-Aurora Crystal (x1)

Hat Kid takes her Hat's Ribbon (the Zen Ribbon stand-in), and gets to work. She draws the Gold into a long thread, and knits the Silkweed into a very long thread. She proceeds to untie the ribbon.

She weaves the Gold around the edges of the original ribbon, making them stand out slightly from the original yellow ribbon, because shiny. Hat Kid then weaves most of the Silkweed into the ribbon's edges, enlarging the ribbon to an almost ridiculous size.

She then drills a hole through the Aurora Crystal. Five, in fact. Four small ones, perfect for feathers; and one large one, able to fit a knot. Hat Kid ties up the new ribbon (which has become all yellow with that shiny gold outline for some reason, don't question it), and threads the ribbon through the large hole, making sure the knot was in the center. She seals it back up with the powder from when she drilled the large hole, sealing it in with some more silk.

Hat Kid finally inserts the Gallow Feathers into the four small holes, sealing them in place with the dust ans the rest of the silkweed silk. The silk on the crystal suddenly becomes transparent, and the garment is done.

Aurora Hat Ribbon (T2) Looks pretty good on a purple top hat.
+1 INT, (Meditative Overclock) (Unique: Zen)
Meditative Overclock: Upon a successful meditation, your next spell will deal +9 DMG (no healing bonus). You still gain MP.

Boshi takes 2 points out of AGI. He tosses those points into MP.

The duo equip the new items and trots into the Set battle. they end up at (H8). Hat Kid slings a potion at the Reisz. He retreats to (H7). (Shake Potion: 4) (+30% Electric Resist Pierce active)

Emerald tosses yet another point in DEF, spawns in at D8 and sidles his way over to G12, GUARDing

CRAFTPOST

Materials: Sharpened Iti Stick (x1), Iron Ingots (x2), Thyme Matter (x1)
Emerald notes that his little ‘friend’ seems to be getting more angry and gnashy than usual, an decided to make the most of this situation, grabbing some Iron Ingots and quickly shredding them into Iron Shreds. He then takes the Thyme Matter and quickly shoves all the scraps inside of it, before tossing it at the SIS’ mouths, at which point it begins ravenously eating the iron and Thyme. Hopefully this will cause it more structural stability....
Metal Iti Stick
(2-2) Piercing damage
Possible addition to the amount of SPC and DEF it grants?

Craftpost vPoncho

Materials: Full Metal Poncho (x1), Shadow Crystal (x1), Whispering Gauntlet (x1), Crystalline Claw (x1), Silkweed Bundles (x5)
Hmm, you know what could use some upgrading? Emeralds armor. Therefore, he takes his Poncho off, and grabs the Whispering Gauntlet, Shadow Crystal, and Crystalline Claw. He starts breaking off shards of the Crystalline Claw and attaches them to the Whispering Gauntlet’s fingers. After this, he takes the Shadow Crystal and forces it into the glove the side opposite of the eye. With that done, he then begins weaving a sleeve using the Silkweed, and uses it to connect the Gauntlet to the Poncho. You know, for a Poncho upgrade this didn’t really do all that much with the Poncho itself. Swinging around the Gauntlet, it seemed to leave a shadowy trail behind it. Odd.
Shaded Whispering Poncho
(-3 MMP), (-10% Glitch resist), Whispering, (+7 DEF), (-1 MOV), (Physical 20% resist), (Ice -40% resist), (Earth -30% resist), +1 AGI

CRAFTPOST:
Portable Space Heater (Magic Runes)(x1), Aurora Crystal (x1)
Emerald then takes his Portable Space Heater, and just kinda takes out the battery, replacing it with an Aurora Crystal for MAXIMUM HEATING
Aurora Space Heater: Ice (50?%)

"I think it should work? If you can't get it, then don't worry about it too much. After all, I've never really tried to teach anyone it before, haa~. Anyway... I'll just tell you about the basics:
First lesson starts now. Basic spells come in the following format: [identifier] [form] [action]. It gets a whole lot more complex, but that's generally how it goes. [identifier] [form] [action]. [identifier] and [form] specify what you want, and [action] specifies what you want to do with it For example, if I wanted to move a crystal rod, I would say"
----- "Then the rest is dependant on my ability to direct the spell."
As she pauses, her crystal fishing rod is thrown into her hand, as if by an unseen force.
"Now: the words I'm gonna teach you are [metal] [sword] and [sharpen]. If you've ever played Skyrim, teaching you them is really similar to what the beard-guys do. I don't want to teach you too many at once because, once again, I've never tried this before and don't want to overwhelm you."

She draws the following words in the dirt using a crystalline fingertip, followed by a set of unfamiliar glyphs beneath them.
Alto.
Banten.
Nito.
As Toast finishes the last letter in each, there's a rush of... something. What 'something'? Well, that's dependant on Chloe's reaction to the magic. Maybe she understands it, and feels a rush of knowledge. Maybe she doesn't and feels a rush of dizziness. Maybe her mind is suddenly opened to the creatures lurking beyond the veil of the Void and feels a rush that comes from-- Who knows.
(So yes, I'm leaving it up to you whether your character can learn this magic or not.)

~~

Toast moves to H5 and casts Twilight Singularity (Multilarity) to K11.

~~

Ruins crafting coming next round, but I'd like to reserve one of each crystal type until then.

As many skill points as possible in SPC, unless that triggers the reduced effectiveness per point used due to my mass of specialness, in which case I put excess skill points into AGI.
"Sir Informant."
"I am aware that my home may not seem like a wondrous example of these morals at first glance, but 86% of all resources during war are spent to reduce casualty’s, and 98% of the forces sent to attack, both by my side and the enemys, tend to be mere automatons, like those I am using in construction."
"I, personally, Abhor death. it will, eventually, be fully conquered, I believe, but with this not yet completed, your decision to serve as its vanguard remains evil, in my eyes."
"If those you are fighting have made the same choice, then I agree that they do not hold moral high ground, but that does not excuse either side from squabbling in the valleys."
"I understand a simple conversation is unlikely to convince you to change your ways, but I will not participate in any battle where both sides seek the death of other sentients, not as a fully reasoned utilitarian decision, but as terminal value. and, given your wording, I suspect both of you belong to the "Terminal Value" camp."
"I also have for you a query: how intelligent are Iti?"

JOE turns and walks away. first, to the farm, where he gives his megabot body a copy of the key which is more fragile, meaning the bot can enter and leave, but one that did not know to be careful would it would break the key before they could open the door.
As he and his bot-body exit the farm, he notices Y.V., and makes them an offer. he's seen they are very strong, as they procured their shops stock in under a single round, so he would like to offer this deal: If the Iti attack the garden, I request YV to help defend it (probably putting his safety first and focussing on range, obviously), and will afterwards do my best to repay him for the time and effort.
JOE then remembers something and the bot doubles back into the cave.
JOE, meanwhile decides that, since he has soundly refused to participate in the informants battle, he might as well go to the set.
JOE spawns to C10, moves to B11, and uses Terraform to harvest the Thyme matter on C13, D13, D14 and E14, replacing the tiles it took up with nothing specific and placing the magically removed Thyme Matter into the inventory. I told you guys leaving it there was a bad idea!
JOE's megabot trion soldier whateverman, meanwhile, Grabs the empty chest from his stockpile and places it on... lets say 43AE. yes, its inconvenient, but he doesn't want to risk attracting Iti to his farm. he proceeds to drop in as many vines as he can fit, up to 8, sprinkles dirt on top of them, goes over to the new river leading to the farm (BE 34 - BE 40) and grabs some of the worms the water probably led to get out of the ground, and dumps them in the chest too. then, he grabs some leaves from a nearby tree, sprinkles them on, and closes the chest lid. hopefully, the lid will keep the smell in, and he can use this compost in the distant future to do good things.

The Artist adds that one point to SPC, and joins the battle upon The Set. Spawning at G4 and moving to G7. They then cast Mirror Image at H8, with the Artist Clone casting Roulette Crasher upon Hound 4.

The Man decides to do some crafting™

First he takes the chest he picked up. He cuts out the bottom of the chest with his hands somehow. He does the same for the top of the chest. He then takes his suit, and glues it to the inside of the chest with 2 green sap blobs. While he's still wearing it. He then takes the top of the chest, and sorta wears it as a hat.

result???
Chest Hat: You just sorta wear it like a hat I guess. Stats: +2 DEF, +2 SKI, +1 CRT, -1 AGI Resists: Air (40%) Electric (20%) Fire (-30%)

A Chest You Wear On Your Chest: METAL GEAR SOLID TACTICAL STEALTH ACTION Stats: +2 DEF, +1 SKI, +1 CNT -2 AGI (Bonus: Not moving gives you +35% DGE for that turn) Resists: Air (20%) Piercing (20%) Fire (-20%)

Bergilmir scowls at the Informant, and says this to him before going to The Set battle.

cA: Honor is not a matter of convenience. If you abandoned yours at the first excuse you could find, you never had any at all.

I spawn at D10, move to H12, and use Breath of Nia to the right, hitting Hound4, Hound7, and the Shuria!

Before the battle really begins though, I form an icy crafting table with my new arm, and get to work.
I take my Tactical Vest, two piles of Gunpowder, an Iron Bar, and an Incendiary Scrap. He forms the iron into segmented casings, and wires up the compartments to react to impact. He then attaches the iron to the vest by freezing them together. He then fills in the compartments with Gunpowder, and seals them closed. Man, this guy is really irresponsible with his crafted items! He's practically a walking frag grenade! And more self-damage?!? What is he, a masochist or something? The wiring nearly shorts with every step, which webs out to the various explosive compartments.

Reactive Armor "You feel whoever made this probably wasn't safe to be around."

Increases AC by 2 while active. Once per battle, once you are dealt a total of more than 30 damage (not necessarily in one turn), deal (7-8) Piercing damage to each enemy that attacked with shrapnel. Self-inflicted Burned1 for two turns and Armorbreak3 for 3 turns after explosion, because seriously, this thing not up to code.

I take 1 point from RES and put it into HP, and take 1 point from SKI and put it into DEF. I also put 2 into MOV. Now I'm speedy...

what if you have like 100 DGE and you're standing behind a lamppost
The lamppost takes the hit for you, and dies.
does the lamppost just become magnetic
Yes. Yes it does.
also, overkill damage to the thing won't harm the things hiding behind it
so being next to cover terrain can't ever really be worse then not standing next to one

Comet takes all points out of AGI, puts 9 into SPC, and 1 into INT.

Comet takes off the Smart Goggles. For whatever magic-related reason, they seem to provide considerable protection against certain types of attacks. It wasn't useless, of course, but it seemed...niche. It wasn't as if she could really take hits regardless. If she could somehow repurpose the magical energy for something more useful... Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be many magical materials she could experiment with. Maybe... Some sort of sacrifice? Equivalent exchange? This was hardly her field of study, and she had to admit her ideas were mostly from media, but it sure seemed like anything was possible now... Comet takes an aurora crystal and uses it to burn up a small amount of natural materials.

She feels... powerful. Like some sort of energy is coursing through her. Not an unpleasant feeling, but an odd one. She hesitantly touches the smart goggles. The energy slowly drains out of her. She can... sense something in the goggles now. Comet doesn't think they've gotten more powerful though, just... different. How interesting... She'd have to do more experiments later.

Google Goggles [T2]
+2MMP +4 INT

The jump jets Comet had attached to her Aeraskates™ were... incredibly unstable, and though their unpredictability had actually made her harder to hit, she somehow felt that that would no longer work nearly as well from this point on. Comet was not one to trust her gut most of the time, but here... well, it was working, wasn't it? The trope of the scientist refusing to accept magic was a dumb one. Of course, having your worldview challenged was difficult, but that had already happened during the War, and discovering a whole new field to explore... She was getting distracted. Comet quickly disables the jump jets, taking what parts she can out. It was time to make a proper way to fly. Or at least, to shoot into the air for a bit.

With a bunch of iron, a bit of titanium for the crucial parts, and a variety of electronic materials, Comet creates a quick prototype jetpack. It was all she could do for now. There was yet another fight to join. It wouldn't be able to stay in the air very long, but, yet... The prototypes she made here worked far better than they had any right do. She would normally never test this sort of thing herself, that'd be the job of some poor intern, but now... well, regardless of her new abilities, it wasn't like she had much choice in the matter...

Jetpack [T2]
Jet: Replaces your sprint action with Jet. Jet grants Flying until the end of the movement phase.
Unique: Maneuver
+1 DGE

Comet joins the fight. She spawns at D10, moves to H10, uses Discharge on Reisz, and retreats to E9.

[color=#3333CC]oh, that's it
uh

Monika uses both of her skillpoints to increase her Skill, and switches her Red Pen with the leftover Blood Vials Whispering Gauntlet. I totally meant the Whispering Gauntlet and am not editing this because there was a convenient break in the update. in the inventory. Be afraid.
