Can I just say this is a question that hasn't been asked enough? To really answer it would be spoilers.
Counterpoint: If she really qualified it as 'personal information,' it would break her Veil. It has not. Ergo, the name 'Hera' is not 'personal' enough to constitute that. It might not even be her name. And as stated, knowing Richard's first name has done you next-to-no favors. Plus, that she was an Atheist is already established, so you already KNEW the answer to that. Finally, given that she already said something, did you REALLY think she'd let herself slip anymore?
Beyond that...I will be blunt: My attempts coming to respond to this properly that didn't devolve into undeserved insult costed the update. THAT'S what came up. And I have tried, HARD, but I cannot explain to you why it appears I have a grudge against you in an adequate way that explains it without devolving into a rant, other than, yes, I suppose the billionth time of having to actually read those horrifically over-stylized, eye-destroying posts and respond to the horrible RP from a guy's horrible sue character would, in fact, generate such distaste! Not really helping matters is the fact that said horrible sue character is apparently unable to speak any language except 'boastish,' which is exactly what it sounds like, and worse. I'm not the ONLY one who thinks this-nowhere near it, buddy-and you are HARDLY the worst I've seen, but dealing with that EVERY freaking time I have to update makes me not want to update at all, ever, and has on more than one occasion made me think I want to give the whole thing up.
Gorilla son. That was gorillaing brutal, so moral of the story don't RP unless necessary and don't be a gorilla.
Also, thanks Tazz, I suppose we need to figure out what type of killer she is...
I suggest we start with common traits of serial killers these may or may not be apply to her but most killers do have them.
1. She probably either had an obsession with fire &/or dissecting dead animals
2. She probably was abused by her family (father/mother or both)
3. She probably has had a few unsavory encounters with drug/alcohol abuse with her on the receiving end
4. She referenced the bodies that she keeps so either she is lying and trying to psych out or she has an urge to keep keepsakes and enjoy them... So many wrong images...
5. She probably had a head injury as a child. Very common among serial killers, nothing debilitating, just causing brain function to be slightly off. Some bad chemicals here and there...
6. She probably has a compulsive need to prove herself smarter/better than everyone around her
7. She could consider everyone around her robots and that she is the only person with free will/ she is similar to a god when she has someone she controls their fate; life or death.
8. She probably wet the bed for the longest time... I am serious this is a commonality for most serial killers
Also for Flowey... Flowey isn't very realistic, he said about the talking flower without a soul. But Flowey was more driven by the idea of playing God.

So, whats with all this chatting about flowey? Unless he has the 6 souls, he's probably just gonna get stomped. Unless he found another source of power.

I'll be honest, unnessecary roleplay is perhaps 1/3rd of DTG's draw at this point, and as far as that is concerned I'll be OK on that much. DTG was never an RP to begin with and yet here it prospers, and I do not have much right to bother people over it, bar eliminating RP-only posts from the update to conserve space. I'm one of the RPers myself, even. the standards aren't particuarily high, either. That's not my real beef with him at all-feel free. I mean, don't go overboard, yes, but feel free. I doubt intentional malice as well, honestly, but really, he politely asked why it appeared I had a grudge and I explained it to him, trying to control myself to the point wherein I did not do anything other than point out the negatives, while simultaniously laying bare said negatives with all the force of a train. The one time I REALLY got on someone who's post I could not legitimately read (a post that fortunately wasn't here) without the help of 3 other people guiding me through the whole thing, piece-by-piece, in a riff that was later posted (it was a bit complicated at the time). I don't want to come off as anything more than a reasonable GM for the game-but GMing this game is startlingly hard, between dealing with the fact that the game has limitations as to what can be allowed without going over the OP Scale (or won't just be blocked by the Godmodders with a smug grin on their face).
I'm also speaking for more than just myself, again: I can get at least two people to insist that, yeah, FBSN's RPing could use a LOT of improvement, namely in the 'actually building up power over time' department as well as not sounding extremely obnoxious, which is pretty much my complaint on top of everyone else's for the most part. I'll also say this: not understanding the lore is one thing that's perfectly OK as the lore is pretty tangled to begin with and not always specific on stuff. Of course, I am kind of fed up with how FBSN doesn't seem to get the part where this means he really not ought to assume that he's correct. He never is, and usually not even by the virtue of rule 0 but with written canon. Now, let's be clear: AS far as his RPing skill is, I HAVE been that person once, and I was VERY fortunate I wound up in a very understanding community wherein I could basically copycat some of the best RPers I've met (some of whom could be said to eclipse Talist in skill), and eventually join the main RPing community as one of their better players (with several outright praising some of my posts), and I would LOVE to take time out of my schedule to be an example of (relatively) good RPing for FBSN in turn, if that wouldn't be temporal suicide to my college life. Plus, some of the salt MIGHT have been from it being like 3 AM for me locally, or the fact that we already had a conversation like this wherein he apologized for something and, in the process, looking like he was apologizing for most of his behavior up until then when in reality that wasn't the case?
Really, I'm kind of just being a salty man over here-and we all have THESE moments in our lives. Let's not take it personal if anything else. FBSN's primary issue is that he's usually Wrong Genre Savvy, and this is usually when the Karmic Avian Geode Formationstm start to descend upon the provoker. Or at least, the Karmic Avian Red Fruit Often Mistaken For A Vegetabletm.
As for the topic of Flowey-he DID null his post, but for various reasons, I can already say someone ELSE is charging up Flowey already. Not saying he has exclusive dibs, but...Yeah.
OK, all things considered I'm in a good mood and reconsidering a previous ruling, partially because I realize it basically did nothing and only annoyed people. In other news:. Feel free to make Pre-EoTB posts again now. Huzzah!
In other news, the End of Turn Battle and the whole Update is done! Do keep in mind, some odd errors somehow slipped in which I also corrected at first (icnluding a few alchemies I missed and definitely a few attacks), so if your post had something missing in it before, hopefully it won't happen again. Still shaking off a bit of rust from the hiatus, it seems.
What does this mean? Does it mean that the posts between the update and this don't count and I have to re-do them?
Tazz, my apology PM was in reference to getting out of hand over what I felt was messing with my RP, with the Metamorphosis attack Star's Body picked up.
Here it is, for anyone wondering:
"I have an apology to make. I had a nervous breakdown yesterday, and ended up taking it online.
See, this was the result of a miscommunication. The point of the DFT was to force me into a depowered state following it. With that in mind, six super attacks seems a small price to pay for being forced to sit out for that long.
You had different plans. You thought of my entity that I summoned at the end of my DFT run as a beneficial byproduct. You ran the game as if that was the case. I guess I didn't make it clear that the stronger the entity was, the worse it was for me.
Thus, I am going to do as you planned. It's far too late to bring it back to the original intention of the battle. So, I'm going to act at full power.
Sorry about yesterday."
As a note, I specifically mention yesterday and the DFT, leaving out any RP problems or eye-searing text comments.
I'll say this much, my RP has not been great, though I've definitely had better sessions than DTG in general, 2 or 0.
I kind of use this as an escape from reality, and I could honestly track me not feeling well with points where I go on long rants that don't get my point across as well as they could (which is a problem I have in real life).
I had two problems with your first post:
My first problem was this: you dubbed my character, Star, a Mary Sue/Gary Stu (for those that don't know, this is the name for a male Sue).
What is a Sue/Stu to you, Tazz?
Star has flaws, I sent them to you, and one I forgot to mention is that he thinks he is the smartest and most moral person in the room at most times. I've heightened this a bit too much in this game, however.
Star has not tried to smash through the OP scale, he has not forcefully taken his entities back from the GS side, and has not tried to force the story to go in the direction he wants. (The only story impact Star could have been said to have was his body being taken by the Umbral One, and that was not his/my intention) Star has flaws, Star has strengths, Star has emotions, Star does not have the entire world wrapped around his finger.
If you sincerely think Star is a Gary Stu, then we have different ideas of what a Gary Stu looks like.
I will concede that red text isn't the most appealing color, though I was going to have a story reason for it to change pretty soon (sometime after the death of the next gatekeeper, so sometime in the middle of February).
My second problem is that the tone was somewhere between raging and Twin replying to Pricey late DTG2.
I've made steps to improve my attacks by not being overly verbose and PMing you entities prior to their summon, and it appears my next step is to un-Flanderize my character's flaw of thinking that he is the smartest being on the battlefield. Normally, that's only supposed to show up as not suffering fools gladly, but I've messed up so much that doing so now would seem hypocritical.
Which is why I say he's not a Stu. The entire thing about acting as if he knows better than everyone else around him is a flaw, and isn't actually true.
If it was true, then I'd need to do more than just tinker with Star a bit.
First off: I had suspected as much of that in the PM, but still hoped you'd tone down the text at least.
Second: I'll admit, on second consideration Sue MIGHT be a stretch, but I will say that one flaw does NOT automatically make a character safe from being a Sue. Among the many varieties of Sue, there are such things as a 'Jerk Sue' Or an 'Anti-Sue,' both of which use flaws incorrectly. I'd struggle to call Star the latter (that's when he has NO redeeming traits: he IS working for the nominal good guys here, among other things), but the former he could qualify for, if anything, as usually, while UserZero certainly deserves it, you still don't do much other than belittle her RP-wise. That being said, that's still kind of stretching it: Being up at 3 AM after suffering the usual frustrations of an Update (including dreaded page crashes resetting my work with little warning) on top of College can make someone pretty salty, especially against a character who's primary interaction with everything is basically to be arrogant so I'll apologize for coming off as rude and stuff, that was uncalled for. With THAT out of the way, however, a word of advice: Star's arrogance is usually WHY your actions can kind of suck sometimes. The speech that called Charles Barkley not an entity was pretty out of character as well (even if it wasn't the focus of the speech), as given his supposed role in the world, he should have known better than that.
Third: There's a lot that defines a Sue for me. Given the fact that you really CAN'T just wrap the plot around your finger so easily in DTG (the one guy who did definitely did have his characters called out as Sues), and I can easily shut down your attempts at snapping game balance in concern, so as far as DTG is concerned it's a bit different-namely, people with a lot of 'power' and little development as to said power (IE Star) can come off as a LOT more Sueish than the elf chick with the good looks, especially since you've put a lot of emphasis on that power. Partially it's just the generic Mary Sue traits in abundance that usually tip me off (too good looking, overly-tragic shallow backstory, impossible/improbable biology, ect)-but usually what comes up most is the God Mode Sue-aka one that's basically invincible. The OP Scale makes this impossible in the game, on top of the fact that players are generally invulnerable as a gameplay mechanic for the most part, but you've made it a pretty clear that (supposedly) Star can beat UserZero in a completely straight fight with no Veil and no OP Scale, a feat shared only by Engie the Universe Eater (and I consider his level of power too high to begin with, no offense to him). This, on top of an apparent encounter with an Agent and him 'affecting' you in the past (as well as being the 'Guardian of the Happy End,' basically setting yourself as a Champion of the Narrative in some manner), does come off as sueish to more than a typical degree. It's impossible to be completely not-sueish, but in a game like, this, what counts can get kind of blurry.
Can we just call this water under the bridge? This argument seems more to be just something we ought to forget about happening and continue on with the game. Sorry for being salty about that, that was a bit harsh for something that really shoudln't have gotten that much attention, though you DID ask. I'd just say to make it somewhat more clear, in narration and out, that Star's arrogance is definitely a character trait and not a trait of you the player, and everything will probably be a bit smoother.
What does this mean? Does it mean that the posts between the update and this don't count and I have to re-do them?
Good news: I actually changed the rules on this THIS update because I realized it did me no favors and it mostly inconvenienced everyone. I still discourage it, as that means you may not be up-to-date and make assumptions about what's alive or not (which could be wrong), but you can now post beyond that. So don't worry much.
Mostly Pricey's had um. some History(TM) with doing less-than-condoned actions, so he's just checking to make sure people don't get upset at him over doing things.

So, has anyone here played fnafworld? Anyway, just providing a tip that will let you understand the story better.
At the end of Fredbear's dialogue, DO NOT PRESS THE DONE BUTTON. If you wait long enough, he will become pixeliated and talk about a clock. There seems to be a clock for each area. Find them. You can only find them if you got the message. You will have to do a minigame. I do not know how they are relevant, but it seems important. The clock in Dusting Fields is near the LOLbit and is only visible if you have talked to Pixel Freddy. That is all i know about the matter.

So over on my blog thing, I've been playing a vidyagame called "MegaDEU", and I just did the extra stage.
The only context you need in order to realize "I need to see this" is that GLaDOS recites the Navy Seal Copypasta in that.
If you're too lazy to find the DTG Forums and get to my blog, here's a direct link to that extra stage.
