Back in Act 2, Flare Flames got transported to Antichamber and he proceeded to play through the entirety of the game in a sort of Text Adventure. Later, it was revealed that he was playing through it to unlock the Ultimate Reward.

He's a fennec fox and he used to run a potion store back in Act 2. He went on his own adventures during Scratch's Manor.
As shown here, Flare Flames alchemized the Black Gun and attempted to attack the Black Monolith with it when it was alive in Act 2. He released the Black Ghost from the gun, and the Monolith absorbed it (where it remained inside of the Monolith until Flare Flames started seeing it in the Antichamber) and transported Flare Flames to Antichamber himself. He's remained there ever since. (BUT, that will change soon...)
