Okay, so I looked at the thing at the front of the forums.
At first I was against Microsoft buying Minecraft, but then I realized something.
Do any of you remember about five years ago when Disney bought out Lego?
This is the same.
As it turns out, judging from what they've already said, Microsoft has actually already had a hand in things before now. And Microsoft has no doubt seen the massive complaints. They aren't stupid enough to hand Minecraft over to EA. They're still running, and to get a company that big and keep it that way, you can't be that stupid.
And the three original founders literally had almost no part in the coding of most of the more recent stuff of minecraft, and since Mojang is still Mojang, its just owned by Microsoft (like how Marvel is still Marvel, even though its been owned by Disney for quite some time) all the develops we know and love are still in charge.
What changes now is that they have Microsoft funding them, and giving them access to new developers, as well as all sorts of other things.
true, this might turn out horribly. But it also might be one of the best things to happen to Minecraft.

It had a countdown to a day where bill's eye on it was full of cat gifs, and another to Gravity Falls season premiere. It was launched on the day of Gideon Rises. Every day it was active it had ciphers in the page source. On the gravity falls wiki there is a list of all the codes that was on it. Hmm... so The L()rd is going to partially ascend, then come back as someone without strings... without a controller.

This chapter will be on “reversing” the Null Circuit. This has some… profound effects involving the bending of space and time itself, among many other things. The first effects seem to be excessive conduction, void leeks, and somehow tearing space itself, creating a floating label on top. At first, it reads, “The Room.” I have no idea what that means…
THE FIRST EFFECTS
The Voidwalker seems to have the effects of making any color striking it go to the other end of the spectrum. It also seems to attract all rain toward it, and is able to change those mysterious labels. It also seems to energize the clouds… and the ability to cause earthquakes.
THE SPEED OF AIR
At this stage, the Voidwalker is radiating an aura similar to the one of a dying enderdragon. It also seems to be blasting and attracting air.
TEMPORAL MADNESS
It would seem as if at this stage the Voidwalker grew a temporal dislocator button. When pressed, the Voidwalker disappears and a Rift in space appears. Then it starts sending out beams of multicolored light that infuse things with Void Energy.
