Also, the thing is... it depends on whether you've checked to make sure your wand will work in the dimension, and some places have an ambient natural aura that stifles gunpowder, making fire-arms completely useless. And admittedly, some wands are useless against firearms.
Others can put even the biggest guns to shame.

I think that erelye's wand is going to be one of the latter.

Likely. That would be why I used his design for the Staff of Thought. Heh. Besides, few places magically prevent both gravity and magnetism from working, and, ah, gravcannon/railgun.

The general idea is that I am going to simply create an alchemy that negates technology. Heh. In my Library, at least, technology not applied with magic is utterly useless, having a potential to explode if used. Why? Magic is better than science, in my opinion. No limits, nor laws, nor even nature to stop you from bending the world to your very whim. All that restricts you is the strength of your imagination, and your belief of whether or not your spells will work correctly.

Physics are hypothetical laws the people create trying to be near of the reality they have seen so if causality was avoidable with magic it would no longer be an physical rule and others things of this kind.

So do not say that magic allows you to escape physical rules if with magic you can do something that was said to be impossible then the physical law that said it was not possible was wrong and physicians will define new laws but you did not escaped physics you proved the law invented by physicians was wrong and you have made the research in physics progress.

When did I say nigh-impossible? If anything, all things, all figments of imagination, all types of intra-theoretic hypothesis are all completely possible. The word impossible in itself is a rather redundant term. A more correct one would be 'allowed based on time investment'.

Hmm, what about Nimble? My exosuit is technology, but harnesses magic from various sources to act as a portable Void Reactor. One more thing, would a Voidwalker count as a portal?

Yeah, the reason Blue wants money is because she's the only one in the galaxy who has the resources, knowledge, and will to even come close to being able to research travel between galaxies in time. Before the Consumer of Galaxies reaches her galaxy. Which is a giant creature that eats, guess what, galaxies.

It appears to have worked, though I am not exactly a master of the Void. Nay, I merely commune with the eldritch gods, as well as attend The Convention.

The Manufactory is rigged for cross-galactic travel, if via somewhat less than perfect methods, and has a small passenger compartment, if you require incredibly expensive and small-scale transport.

Expense is not an issue.
And I don't care about very many people.
But I'd prefer to save as much of my fortune as I can.
I doubt Galactic Credits will be accepted.
But there's no currency like firepower.

You would not believe how much of a hassle it is to make it to the Istendë every time they want to meet. It usually takes a week, and then they get obscenely angry over the fact that I made them wait. Is it MY fault I was assigned to a planetary system nineteen hundred thousand light years away?! Is it MY fault that the composition of the transport ships THEY assign are literally MADE OF PLANTS!? Is it MY fault that they have little to no patience?!

Heh, the issue is that this thing takes a week or so simply to charge for a jump at that distance, rather than transit time. Well, let me know for your next meeting, I can give you a smaller, slightly lower-power Alcubierre cruiser for that kind of thing.
