Toast swivels around on the couch, placing her feet on the ground.
"I think I'm okay now, thanks for looking out for me, she says, targeting no-one in particular so much as everyone remaining. She stands up, and streches her arms a bit. With them, the wings of Radiance extend to their full length, before returning to a folded position. She adresses the people still remaining, "We should head up now. They're probably waiting for us." ~~ Alt (a.k.a. Future!Toast), is already there when Toast arrives, and they head up together. As Chaos finishes his piece, Toast steps forward, and speaks up in response. "Dude, I don't hate you. I don't know what you're like outside of the mindscape, but here you seem like a pretty okay guy. Being in this mindscape has actually been really awesome! I've met cool people! I've been able to show off my skills! It's not everyday that I get to do that! Don't get me wrong, I still want to leave, but the time I spent here wasn't wasted. Maybe you did chuck me into your mind, but I'm not fussed. If we went around killing your morality cores, that would have just ruined your life, whatever it's like out there." ~~ To reflect her not using time travel, Toast has switched Historia for Blood Molding. Additionally, she switches Counter up in favour of Shifting Sands. sorryinadvanceire Originally posted on 2017-08-22 08:03:00 |

"Hrm, where to begin. I think I know you well enough to emulate your lines of reasoning, to a degree, so I'll use that to narrow it down with you. I could say this: Does destabilizing your mindscape while we're inside it sound smart to you? I don't think it does. The Butterfly is advocating it-but is the Butterfly really concerned for our sakes? Hah, no. So we have every reason to believe such is a trap and that such a thing could instead just kill us outright. So, in other words, I could say that its because destroying the cores was never really a logical option to begin with and would probably have killed us. And that is a fairly good reason. But that's not it."
"I could say that it's a very desperate gambit. We have all the morality cores in our corner and we're known to be powerful and unpredictable. They're memories-just memories, not even the real memories, just projections of the memories they represent. We also know where all four of them are and can easily destroy them well before you could even reasonably react, and they wouldn't be able to defend themselves well enough. So, naturally, under this threat, we basically tell you to get us out of here before we follow up upon it, and of course, all the friendship stuff from before was, in regards to them, a total lie, and Flumpty's status as core was revoked to explicity ensure that killing you was easy. I guess, for you, that is a very good reason-save all the cards for last and make an engagement like this have too much steaks for you to do anything but cave. But that's not it." "I could say that-and I could only ever really say it-that we've been deceiving you the whole time, and that there was a very good reason the Dreamer malfunctioned-that was because you never had even a remote chance to totally nullify Descendancy, and hadn't done it in the first place, but rather that we deliberately underpowered ourselves-and, of course, now is the only time we really need to flaunt such a status to obliterate the barrier and skip having to fight you. We don't need to do anything else and in all reality we can just ignore your threat to us because you were never a threat to begin with. But that's not it-and that would be a rather major lie." "I could say it's because of some innate friendship with Ire-and the fact that you're past him-has made me too sentimental to see you harm. No other reason to go out of our way for WARE as well, right? I suppose that's true for some others, but honestly? those others aren't here, and they never met Ire before meeting you. Soup had, I think. Insert did but we lost him at some point. Lyra may have heard of you from Pit beforehand, but that's doubtful. Crystal arrived just now... Nomble was here too, as well. That's like, four people who've met you beforehand coming to save you. I'll save how your track record with the Dreamer targeting seems to be utterly abysmal. That's four people who knew Irecreeper as a friend. No-one else here has actually met you before. Not a soul. So that's not it." "Chaos, you should know well enough by now that we're not an organized group. Quite frankly, we were disturbingly close to detonating our little Spiderbuddy-aka the Morality Core that we met first. One of our guys just threw a grenade where he was trapped under a log and I saved him. That was before anything about cores or such. I can't speak for anyone else here, that's stupid of me. I can't represent them as a whole, they probably have their own reasons, including threat of being mobbed to death by us for disagreement in our pseudo-pacifism. So, my reason? I suppose it's just because I'm damn well tired of having to kill absolutely everything ever. I believe everyone knows about my... Wretched backstory. The things I did... I can't bear to do them again, but suffice it to say that I've done a lot of murder in my day, a lot of 'pragmatic' actions that really stopped being pragmatic and just delved into cold-blooded monstrosity. It wasn't fun for me at any point-it wasn't OK for me at any point-and I had very well suppressed every moral code I had believed in. A total hypocrite to the end, I suppose. I don't think my reincarnation has changed this-changed me-enough to say otherwise. So, really, I suppose it's for the illogical reason that I absolutely don't care who it is, what it is, or why they're doing what stupid thing they're doing. I want this senseless violence crap that the Multiverse seems utterly obsessed with to just stop. And I figure that if I can do it with just one person-just change the mind and give hope for the future to one person-that I think I've done something that proves I'm not only not a complete waste of oxygen at best, but also, that I could do it to more people and just make the world better again." "That pathetic curse, the Chaos Butterfly, a high-and-mighty being for naught but a servant of a false god the Ancestors slew on their lonesome, and who's successors were arguably better than the original. I don't think he'll get why we're doing what we're doing either. I think, in fact, that Psi had deliberately coded it to be unable to get that. Such a thing is a corruption of its very own mind to allow it to adamantly pursue it's secondary directive, among likely thousands of other failsafes to ensure that, no, this thing really could cause the end of the world. Assuming it just didn't adapt that on the way. Either way, I'm impressed with its work, clearly bending your will to accomplishing its own objective anyways. That's what it was, right? Destroying everything? The Chaos Butterfly's Second directive is one and the same with your own, and that's why it wants to escape, and why WARE out there is losing it. And that's just disregarding Zetta, who is probably also subtly manipulating the mindscape-just in tiny, unnoticeable ways-to make sure that you do what he wants as well. Wouldn't put it past him... You know how he claims he doesn't have a soul? Bullshit on its face. I gave him one before this started-he took it and tried to kill me. Barely mangaed to hold out long enough for someone to get rid of him... He wants more souls, now... He won't stop, I don't think. Whatever feeling he got when I gave him his own soul, his very own soul that he didn't have to feel any guilt or betray anyone or backstab anything or kill anything to get... He just wants more of that, I think. I realize that I'm not going to be able to save everyone. That's beyond me. But I can at least save you and prove that all of what I've been doing and all that I hope to do isn't some wasted endeavor, that I can find some good in you. Not just Irecreeper, something programmed, hard-wired, to have morals-but that you, good sir, can have morals of your own and have some reason to live. And that's my reason." "...I am fairly sure that such a reason doesn't quite make sense to you. That's why you're confused. You'll probably still be confused for a long while. It took people spelling it out to me-really graphically, I might add-to prove why I have to do what I'm doing right now, and why I must do it of my own volition as well. Don't feel ashamed, though... There's always a chance to turn back and do good. Even if you can't make up with the Chairians or Tabletopians you can still make it up with others, do good elsewhere. Don't be constrained by what you think the world is like-see it for what it it could be, and more importantly, go out and make it so." Roxxanne awkwardly scratches her head a bit, waiting for a response-and the responses of others. Originally posted on 2017-08-22 17:59:00 |

DCCCV looked up with a shock, coming to a horrible realization. He knew that voice. He heard it in that camera log. The Chaos Butterfly. It was coming.
For a moment, he considered taking putting the Foil back into the inventory before leaving for Chaos. But that would leave Nia unsupervised, and that would be even worse. He needed to keep her close by, and away from the Butterfly, for the safety of everyone. Hearing Chaos' summons, DCCCV does a Makashi salute towards Nia. "You're following me. I know you don't have much of a choice, but we're about to have a meeting with destiny." Alright, that was overly melodramatic. This fake cavalier attitude isn't fooling anyone. Anyhow, DCCCV headed North, behind everyone else. Approaching North, he runs ahead of Nia a bit. ((I assume Nia's also following closely behind.)) Entering the room last on F14, he moves to D10. There, behind the pillar, he peeks out slightly, so that Chaos know he's there, but not that he has the Foil. That might cause the situation to escalate. After hearing Chaos out, he responds. "I can't exactly speak for everyone. I haven't participated much in the way of helping this group. In fact, they didn't even know I was here until like a few hours ago. However, I have watched them do their thing. Have I seen messed up things? Definitely. But I've also seen the good that they can do. We aren't all sociopaths, even though The Butterfly wants us to think that. Metaphorically speaking, we're all only human, we make mistakes. We are all capable of compassion. We don't have to do something good, expecting a reward. So sometimes, we mess up. I've had a really one track mind recently. If you weren't sitting down and asking these questions, this whole situation might've played out in a completely different way. I'll be honest, I've misjudged you." DCCCV moves onto D9, in full view of Chaos, wielding the Bloodstained Foil, just as Nia enters. "Nonono, hear me out. I think you can see where my plan was going, and I'm sorry I even considered doing this to you. I thought you were some total monster. I only see someone who's scared. Metaphorically speaking again, you're just a man." DCCCV spares. Originally posted on 2017-08-22 18:50:00 -------------------- |

As Mari went away before receiving her 300 words essay about the nature of entropy we shall skip to people who are still here, how sad such wisdom shall remain hidden.
Same with the interesting questions of Chaos himself, who wasn't there clearly couldn't kill those that were. Hezetor gestures Omo to come close to his throne and then talks. "Charian, sadly there is no much time, you will have to say all you can as soon as possible. I know you own secrets about the Dreams of Unity, tell me what you know." He then opens another remote vision 3D sphere next to his throne to the location of the fight with Chaos, if someone is still there they will see as well. Emerald spawns in at N14, then frowns at Chaos, who seemed awfully familiar to him, and then shrugged, running through a cursory check of equipment to make sure nothing is screwed up. And then notices that Ire forget to notice his upgrade to Si'Griut (still named Si'Griut, because I'm lazy)

He's completely visible from inside the mouth of the Creeper. He's draped in a cloak that resembles the night skies in all of it's majesty, which also obscures most of his body. This contrasts his fiery red hair and pale skin, topped by what appears to be a color-tinted version of Bill Cipher's own tophat. His left arm appears to be corrupted by a "rainbow tree" of sorts, most likely replacing most of his left arm. He speaks, with the mouth of the creeper moving with his every word. "... I am not leaving here without another soul. Such was the deal struck and such shall the deal be upheld. I know you saw my little entry in the character guides in the guide. What did it say of my death? It said that I will not die. Not here, at least-not at all at most. Everyone else, even Chaos himself and the Butterfly, have acknowledged deaths in that book. I am explicitly acknowledged as the exception. If I fight to the death, by simple logic, you can't win. Of course..." "... I can't say you're not above harm. That Butterfly has basically admitted to being unable to take me down in a fight, and between me and the barrier there is no chance of that wretched thing's escape, ergo his little plan to kill the cores and destabilize the mindscape. At least, that's how I know it-such a feat would weaken the barrier enough to let it slip through... And everyone here's in agreement on one thing. The Butterfly cannot be allowed his grand delusions of escape-if anything, the terror ought be butchered. Of course, taking out me would also make the barrier insufficient. And we can't let it down for any reason, for even a moment! So." "...You just stand still, OK? Stand still. It'll be painless. Chloe won't even die... Oh who am I even kidding." As if everyone had previously rehearsed this scene thousands of times before for a live audience, everyone draws their weapons with absurdly perfect precision timing. Zetta sighs. "Determined nutjobs. Even I see how it'll go down... Very well, then, we move to the alternative... With a flick of the fingers, Zetta is swallowed up by the stone beneath him. With a mighty rumble, the rest of the stone Creeper rips itself out from the ground. Only the mouth alone moves now, Zetta's voice booming through it somehow. ...where you die in EXCRUCIATING agony." [big][big][big][big][big][big]ZETTA[/big][/big][/big][/big][/big][/big] The Miraculous Hate Music: Carpenter Brut - Turbo Killer Well. This is very definitely the final boss here. Use everything and anything you have to delete this boss; he has a lot of HP, hits hard, and almost certainly has a few dirty tricks somewhere in his patterns. Be wary, and be ready to adapt to whatever changes he might have throughout the course of the battle! Also watch out for Mindclaw... when that goes off, everyone will be in a world of pain if they're not ready for it! Do note that if NPC's die during this fight, they'll actually technically be okay. They just won't be able to participate in the rest of the battle. So feel free to put Chloe, Marron, Mari, and the others in dangerous situations; they'll be fine, even if they're hit by an instant kill move! Let them operate at their fullest! Yes it does. also, overkill damage to the thing won't harm the things hiding behind it so being next to cover terrain can't ever really be worse then not standing next to one "Sir, the man just survived a blast from the Ultimate Cannon. It did destroy the thorn bush though." rad "What the gorilla." |

I've had 15 years of practice, Mr. Chaos, starting when I shot a bandit in the face when I was 15. I can shoot up in the sky and make the bullet hit you from a mile away.

Zetta's creeper-face turns to Battlefury for a second. "Even if I lose, you're not perfect enough to stop me from slaughtering you-that means more powers for me. If I 'luck out' and win, I get your souls. Finally, I have one of the surest signs I will live-even if I lose-on my side. Little to lose but dignity, my good boy-not like you can relate to that. :DDD"
"Please tell me that I wasn't like this... Oh, I probably was..." Roxxanne uses TemsTwo to summon Temmie-her on G14, then does a Splash-Enchant Fire centered on herself. After this she moves to E13. The Temmie Hero will skip all actions except moving to E14 and go straight to Heroic Hoi. The Glitch Skeleton will Focus and move to G16. The Scale Serpent will move to I14. I don't have any real strategy for this moment-Zetta has enough movement and range options to the point wherein my suggestions are going to be general. Just, stay away from the Glitch Creepers for now. They will explode and deal a great deal of damage, which will probably set up a kill for Zetta, and the more options he gets the more dangerous this fight becomes. A good start beckons a good finish, I say. Originally posted on 2017-08-25 07:22:00 |

Toast uses Limit Break (Bank), gaining Massacre as a special alongside Sunfire/Radiance! This grants her 150 additional max SP, costing 85 SP to cast it as a free action. It also summons a burrito. She then moves to J7, and uses Promise Upheld!
1. Coded Heart (does nothing) 2. Fossil's Guidance (Guardian5 on self for two turns) 3. Chairnado Spinstrike. (3x(10-11) to Zetta). She gets a Melody from Cyan. Woot. 1. Coded Heart (still nothing). 2. Chairnado Spinstrike. (2x(10-11) to Zetta). 3. Fossil's Guidance (16-18 to Zetta). Please don't kill the mooks on the right hand side! I plan to use Massacre on them next turn! "Oh don't be ridiculous. You couldn't kill me if you tried! Heck, you couldn't kill me even if both of us were trying to get me killed!" Auth gives a slightly demented smile.
uA: You'll take souls, eh? Well, then. Come get mine. I'll GIVE the blasted thing to you. Auth opens his arms wide, before folding them and smirking. uA: Oh wait. One little problem... He points to his heart, then appearificates a Spectre right next to Zetta, whispering into his ear. uA: Benefits of being Soulless, bastard. With a harsh flick on the nose, Auth's spectre goes to dissipate, before turning back and saying one last thing. uA: Oh yeah. Quit cramping my style. There's only room for one pale-as-h__l redhead here, and it sure as h__l isn't you. Auth then, in one swift motion almost resembling a bow, sends ink over Marron, Ette and Crystem. They are bestowed with Cosmogone as a buff. Continuing the motion, Auth disappears, and reappears on H15. aU: Well done you, with that little snark-chain at Zetta. Very smart. uA: Oh, I know. Thank you so much. Originally posted on 2017-08-25 10:37:00 -------------------- They say that there's no rest for the wicked, until they close their eyes for good.
As someone wicked, fundamentally, I disagree. One may always repent. I may have done terrible things in the past. That's why I help this coward now. |

Dimiheart appears at J12.
Before she acts, Dimitri just casually drops a Melody on Toast. The Manacannon gives Zetta a slight poke. ---- "C'mon, you purple po+a+o! Show me wha+ you've go+!" Originally posted on 2017-08-25 10:55:00 -------------------- This signature is a 3/3 green Elk creature with no abilities.

Rikoriko looks at Zetta. Yeah, no, 🅱ad meme - too much smug, too much annoy, too much waste of time, too much delusion. Such reality warp protagonists, so insane, so careless, so merciless, so disregarding for presumed order, so disregarding for the existential integrity of what they dislike, why challenge, why think, why not lobotomise yourself and become an eunuch and live in eternal service to the Worker's Party of the Glorious Summit Ascension, No Matter What It Takes? C'est la vie en enfer.
Rikoriko spawns on M15, moves to K8, and uses A Bad Idea. She unveils a knife, and slices subtly into the subtle skin above the crown of her head, then the temple, then the throat, then the heart, then the navel, then the wellspring, then the base of her spine. The magical girl has given her existence away to the worst of intentions. What is the worst of intentions, but wrong view, wrong resolve, wrong effort, wrong mind, wrong concentration, wrong action, wrong livelihood - and in the very act of demonstrating it to the world, wrong speech? An utter spiritual failure in every regard, marking out the path for your world to be filled with suffering and utter pain, wondering why when you die, you fall oh so many levels into an abyss of your own making. When a magical girl reaches the utter pit of despair and suffering, she undergoes a metamorphosis, the type carved by demiurges and written down by man in the fallout of their will, which is to say that she becomes a Witch, her will writhing, her mind taken by utter grief. But look at Rikoriko - she knows that existence is the true utter pit of suffering, that the system is a devil's trick, that every power she makes is the barrier - that is the whims of a distorted seer. She is already a witch. She stares at Zetta. Her eyes are wide, and her smile is short, and she holds out a hand to him. Zetta proclaims himself invulnerable and smart, that fate (a cruel mistress sewn by the authors of reality) will let him live forever, correct? I don't predict what he does. He might shake her hand, a grandiose display of mockery and being a man elevated above consequence, he might stay alert, might smack her hand away, might pierce her being with psychic essence. Unfortunately for Zetta, those actions are superficial - perhaps elsewhere, he could be able to harm her as he acted, but here is the world not dictated by turn order and arbitrary time? Is it not the player turn, the time for the authors of reality to tick off a few checkboxes and deal mechanically dictated damage to fictional beings? The witch cackles, before her hand reaches through past the superficial self, and into very essence. She becomes spears and quills, a library unfurling around her, before, in the spiritual, she cleaves a path to Zetta's soul. The physical and metaphysical Rikoriko pull together, and begin to make way for extraction. They use Nothing Is Sacred, before the metaphysical Rikoriko morphs into a baphomet. Its wings are ashen, and they peer into Zetta's soul, before Zetta's frothing rage begins to writhe - the suffering he wishes to inflict, the gluttony and essence lust. The physical Rikoriko rips Zetta's soul from his body. She lets the whims of the authors of reality dictate what happens to it and her next - an item, the creation of a fragment of a fragment? Only one way to find out. tl;dr: spawn m15, move k8, bad idea + nothing is sacred combo, retreat to k10 i now have zetta's soul until the end of the battle or so ire decides specifics (whilst i pester him with 'good' ideas) it's only minor existential damage man you claimed to function perfectly without a soul before Originally posted on 2017-08-25 11:05:00 -------------------- questo mondo non cambia, nemmeno se vuoi

Emerald uses his absurdly high MOV to go run over to J10 and immediately stab Zetta in the face with a knife, now with more scaling. Then he retreats to K12
"I really have no idea who you are, but from your little monologue you seem to want to be mobbed by our sharp pointy things" ------ Emerald looks at Chaos quizzically "I don't know what you're talking about, I just kind of showed up one day. Come to think of it though, my memory of before here is a little fuzzy, so I wonder if what you say might be true or not" Originally posted on 2017-08-25 11:20:00 |
