Pricey, I personally think it would be both easier (and cheaper) if you went with more of a midrange skirmisher build, and perhaps not a mage. We kinda have enough mages so far.

The Operative goes to fully heal himself at the Alcove, which also purges him of his negative status effects. Pricey is then... denied from buying his True Mage Robes thanks to his party. He's also denied from equipping a wand, since Wilson still has that... but he's not here. If you get permission from the party, you could take Wilson's wand. He still switches spells, though.
