The Unsung. Those who, despite making up 99% percent of the combatants of the average Godmodding War, do not receive even a minor mention by the GMs who arbitrate them. Ignored and forgotten. Mere pawns and victims of Psi's Terrors. That was their lot for the majority of the Psi-Godmodding War. Until, one day, someone arrived that would change their situation for the better.

FabriaHopeD4 has joined the server.

This newcomer, though she would eventually join the ranks of the Ancestors, did not initially fight on the Battlefield. Instead, she wandered the land, observing the suffering and struggles of both the common people and the Unsung who sought to defend themselves from Psi's minions. Through this, she learned about the world of Minecraftia and its inhabitants, and their wishes, hopes, and dreams. Until, one day, she finally decided to act. She began to organize the Unsung, hiring some of them as volunteers and helpers. She began caring for refugees and defending civilians from attacks by Terrors. As word spread of her deeds, more flocked to her side. Finally, once her ragtag bunch had grown into a proper organization, she gathered them at a fortress she had built herself in the mountains, called "New Skyhold." There, she made an announcement: No longer would the people of Minecraftia suffer at the hands of the Godmodder and some of the rogue Ancestors who had callously slain millions for the sake of defeating her enemies. No longer would they be helpless bystanders who would run away, screaming, whenever a Terror stopped by. No longer would they live in huts and farm dirt. She declared that a new power would arise in this world, one that would stand for all. She called it the Inquisition, and she was to be its Inquisitor. With her new army of Unsung, the Inquisitor marched to the Battlefield, ready to uphold justice and defend the helpless from evildoers, both Pro-Godmodder and Anti-Godmodder. While she fought Psi, the rest of her Inquisition would uplift the communities it established itself in, building infrastructure and establishing governance.

However, as the war progressed, the Inquisitor grew increasingly dissatisfied. While her player powers and her training as an artificer (not the Eberron kind) had allowed her to construct potent technological weapons of war, the rest of her forces were stuck with the primitive medieval technology of vanilla Minecraft. One day, as the rest of the war raged on, with most of the Ancestors not caring much about the lot of everyone else, the Inquisitor retreated from the Battlefield to find a solution to the problem. She assembled a council of experts on the source code of Minecraft, and initiated what she called "Project Forge." The council labored for days and nights on a package of code that would prove the key to all their fortunes. Finally, after some time, the project was complete, and the Inquisitor unleashed it onto Minecraftia. Project Forge, known to Earthlings as the "Forge API," removed the blocks that had trapped the common people of Minecraftia in medieval stasis, and gave them some of the creative potential of the Ancestors themselves. Soon, enterprising individuals began creating packages, known on Earth as "mods," to make use of Minecraftia's creative power. Thus, the modern age of Minecraftian industry and advancement had begun.

Unfortunately, the Inquisitor could not rest on her laurels, for a new enemy soon emerged on the Battlefield: the First Guardian known as Scratch. For some twisted reason, Scratch took an interest in her. The Inquisitor countered by leading the charge in opposing Scratch and his forces. However, this would ultimately back fire, when, in revenge for a massive strike conducted by the Inquisitor, Scratch decided to use his First Guardian powers to teleport the player behind the screen to the Battlefield and assault her personally. When the forces of the Inquisition came to tend to her injuries, they discovered who she had been this whole time. She was an elf who had somehow gained access to modern technology, her face marked with a prominent tattoo. She said it meant that she had been part of a group called the "Dalish," a people that had been nomads a long time ago. After she was teleported, she began to panic, worrying that her loved ones and friends back home would fear for her life, not knowing what had happened. It was at this time that her real name was revealed,
"Ellana Lavellan." She devoted all her time to creating some kind of portal that would return her back to her home world, and when it was done, she made another announcement. The war was about to wrap up, and she had done all she could. It was now too dangerous for her to continue to lead the Inquisition, now that her real life self had been thrown into the war. She would leave, and the Inquisition would have to elect a new Inquisitor from their ranks. With that, she said goodbye, and entered the portal, never to return. After she left and the war ended, the Inquisition began to falter from its mission, its leadership growing increasingly ineffective and corrupt. Finally, it underwent an emergency reorganization into a for-profit corporation called "HAYO Conglomerate Lld.," which would quickly become the #1 supplier of advanced technology to all the worlds of Minecraftia. Despite this change, HAYO still remembers and honors the person who had founded it. This explains why, when another elf emerged from a portal in spacetime, centuries after the Psi-War, HAYO was drawn to her and eventually made her CEO. This elf would later become one of the Descendants who fought Richard in the Second Godmodding War. But that is a story for another time.
