+2 to Crystal

Universal Power Ubercharge Meter: 5/9

Wilson Money: $2

Eh screw it.

Gotta Go Fast: 20/20 (+1 from Crystal) Complete!

Antimatter Buster Station: 10/11

The Magnetic Anomaly: 4/9

G.A. Computer & Quantum Icebox: 2/?

==Actions==

Adrian's spaceplane lands next to Lothyra, and the lieutenant emerges holding a black cube. Lothyra sees it, and her voice brightens up a bit.

You saved Dis? Well, at least there's one of us who didn't perish... You were a hero back there. Unlike me.
...Anyway, we can't rest yet. The last Trial's coming up, and apparently it could end this world. We need to keep the remaining personnel and material safe. Fortunately, I have a solution for this.

Lothyra holds up her Bag of Holding.

Amperz4nd gave this to me before the crash... We can store everything in here. I just need some more time to finish the mainframe alchemy, and I should have Dis back up and running. Then, we need to get to work on storage.

Meanwhile...

Gotta Go Fast 40/40 Expended!

Suddenly, a mess of .jpegs appear. All the players brace themselves for something Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff-related. Instead, a poorly drawn version of Sonic comes out, playing an awful tune.

Sanic Hegehog [AG]:

HP: You determine this Twin.
Attacks/Standard Actions (can only do one per turn): Gotta Go Fast: Dodges all attacks for one turn. Ironically Terrible Slam: Deals 6,000 damage to a target. Terribly Animated Spin Dash: Deals 12,000 to a target, but all enemy attacks directed towards Sanic that turn mini crit.

The Futurama Gang continues attacking Error. Bender, however, uses Lightning Quick on Error, Sanic uses ITS on Error.

Talist: Don't worry, I will.

+2 to Crystal

Universal Power Ubercharge Meter: 6/9

Wilson Money: $2

Antimatter Buster Station: 11/11 Complete!

The Magnetic Anomaly: 5/9

Arsenide Icetop: 3/6

==Actions==

Lothyra examines the Antimatter Buster Station.

Sigh. I can't believe I'm going back to this... one more Trial, and I'll wash my hands of it.

She then receives the Glitch Wrench from Talist.

Even more ways to break reality... just like the Council predicted. One more trial...

Lothyra alchemizes (Planet Express Ship -c Tesseract Manifold -c Planet Express Ship Primary Lasers x2) & Name Tag = Planet Express Ship 3.0. She then rolls the Miniaturized Decad at Error. The Planet Express Crew all attack Tingle. Sanic uses TASD on Tingle.

Universal Power Ubercharge Meter: 7/9

Final Planet Express Ship: 8/11

==Actions==

Lothyra notices the disappearance of the Planet Express Crew.

Dammit! Just when I needed them the most! Sigh... it's like the entire universe is punishing me...

Lothyra boards the Planet Express Ship 3.0. She also takes a potion of war ((increased base damage, decreased base damage taken.)) and a potion of critmist from Talist's now free shop, then drinks both. She also heals Split with Universal Power.

Okay, let's see, I need to burn through 10 Tiny Antimatter Canisters and one Antimatter Buster Nuke with a 100 megaton yield...

Lothyra then takes the Arsenice Hub and plugs it into the Planet Express Ship's computer systems, letting Dis take control over it.
Assum1ng d1r3ct c0ntr0l 0f th3 P3S's turret and l0ad1ng syst3ms.
Hah. Nice reference. Good to see you're back. Anyway...

Lothyra gets behind the controls.

We have a giant to slay. Hit it!

The Planet Express Ship suddenly rockets into the air and flies towards the Right Leg. Upon arrival, she and the turret unleash a barrage of laser fire at the Corruption Target.

Where are we? And did I just taste purple?
Wha? This must be the... Holy Zombie Jesus! It's the TARDIS! For all of my life, I've wanted to see one of these legendary machines! And now, I've finally been given a chance!

Farnsworth then begins to take notes on all of the Time Lord technology he sees. Bender then sees Eric.

Hey, wasn't that the guy with the giant spaceship?
What spaceship?
You know, the one that killed all the Vord?
I wasn't there for that, remember?
Yeah, nevermind.

Bender walks up to Eric.

My... acquaintance over here is asking about your giant spaceship. You know, the one that killed that guy? Piono?

Universal Power Ubercharge Meter: 8/9

Antimatter Buster Nuke: Used.

Tiny Antimatter Canisters: 7

Antimatter Torpedoes: 16. Reloading.

==Actions==

Well crap. Zombie Lothyra uses another Tiny Antimatter Canister by injecting it into the IAC-FR, then fires the shot at Piono. Sorry about that. Meanwhile, on the T.A.R.D.I.S., Adrian is twiddling his thumbs, when suddenly he is teleported straight to the Head (I'm using the zombie loophole for the no-side characters rule).

"What? Well, then, I guess I should get to work..."

He dons armor similar to Lothyra's and takes off, firing bolts of torroidal plasma at the Scarred Metal using the IAC-FR.

===> Lothyra: Do the Descendenty Thing.

Lothyra exits her suit from its backport. You all again see a stained and dirty redheaded elf emerge from the machine that had been her home for the past few months. She stumbles to the ground, then, with a grunt, picks herself back up. Now is not the time for her to falter. She turns to the Godmodder.

This war of mine... It's cost me my entire company. Most of my employees. My second home. They were family to me, and I killed them because the lust for vengeance clouded my mind.
...
How many other Descendants were driven to madness in the name of defeating you? How many lives did they squander without a thought? You know, when you think about it, we and you... we aren't so different in the end. We can both not just respawn or create, but warp reality itself. To us, all that matters is defeating the enemy, without a single thought given to all that we destroy in the process. It's like ordinary people aren't even people, and we're the only ones who matter. This power... the Council was right. It corrupts everyone who embraces it, brings them down to your level. It makes monsters out of good men.
...
But you've gone even further than that. You've erased your own identity, your own humanity, all in the name of ruling over others as a petty tyrant. Honestly, Richard, do you really think that all this gives you meaning? Does this make you happy? Is this your purpose in life?
...
It doesn't matter. There's no way I can convince you. You're already too far gone to listen to reason.
...
But perhaps you can listen to your feelings.

Lothyra closes her eyes and stretches out a hand. Suddenly, a Sburb Space symbol appears above her palm.

You know, I've also been running away from my past. Running away from who I was. Embracing the creed of a mad scientist, to forget the overwhelming guilt caused by past events. Even when I was determined to do anything to defeat you in this war, I was still afraid to use this power... Because it would bring back memories I'd rather forget. Now, though, I see that there's no point to run from your past. Your experiences are what make you a person. Oh sure, you want everyone to see you as some Saturday morning cartoon villain, a pure force of destruction and terror without any depth. But that's not who you really are. You know why you struggled to stay relevant in a multiverse beset by cosmic powers and eldritch abominations? Because, no matter how much you try to distance yourself from it, you're still a human. You have personality traits, flaws, and virtues. You had a normal life, were a normal person. No name change can erase that. Even your rank as the most powerful godmodder in existence can't change that. I just need to prove it to you.

Suddenly, her hand is surrounded by arcs of green lightning, as the Space symbol glows brightly. With this new power, she draws her Quills of Echidna, green energy filling them. She waves her wands around, and an enormous contraption assembles from nothing. It's some kind of infuser, with a central receptacle for an orb, surrounding by two smaller ones. Lothyra then takes out three new items from her inventory: a blue-white orb that's a miniature representation of Skaia, and two Miniature Teal Suns.

I've had these since I was eighteen years old... since the game that changed my life... You know what the Miniature Teal Suns represent? Mind.

Lothyra places the Skaian Shard into the central receptacle, the two Miniature Teal Suns in the secondary receptacles, and finally activates the machine. The two Suns merge with the Skaian Shard, causing it to change color from blue to teal, a symbol of mind now emblazoned on it. Finally, Lothyra holds out her Quills of Echidna, the implements absorbing the energy of the shard, them filled no longer with Space, but now with Mind. Then, she turns back to the Godmodder.

EMBRACE ETERNITY!

From the Origin Wands twin beams of blinding teal light shoot out, headed straight towards the Godmodder's mind. It easily penetrates, as the Godmodder's weakened mental state has compromised his normally powerful defenses. The Godmodder, or should I say, Omega, finds himself inside his rapidly decaying mindscape. Suddenly, an orange figure materializes, and stares at Omega.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBhFHJMVfiI

A long time ago... a baby elf fell down to earth in a meteor. She was found by a local elven village, and raised as one of their own. As she grew, they tried to teach her their ways and traditions... but the girl wasn't satisfied. She wanted more than the same old magic. She dreamed of reaching past the sky and touching the stars. So, while the rest of the village shunned her, she began to explore. She found the ancient ruins of her people, filled with wonderous yet natural artifice. As she continued to explore, she uncovered a prophecy. The world was about to end, and only six chosen heroes, those who came from the sky, could stop it. She returned to her village and found five others who had descended to the earth on meteors, a team to cancel the end times. Then, on one fateful day, she and the other five, activated the game that would let the prophecy progress.

But the prophecy was wrong. It would not save their world. It would destroy it. As meteors rained down on everything they had known, the six heroes were transported to a realm far beyond their imagining. There, they were tasked with the creation of a new world to replace their old. But the elven players could not fulfill that task. They came from a world of spells and swords, while the realm they had entered was one of science and innovation. They knew not how to progress, and while the Knight who had started it all desperately labored to find a solution, four of the heroes would perish before their quests had even begun. Despondent, the Knight and the Rogue, her lover, gathered to formulate a last-ditch plan. The Knight would begin a process that would tear a hole in space and time, allowing the pair to escape their session. The game called this "the Break." The Knight was able to start it, but the pair was beset by countless demons as they tried to reach the portal. As his final act, the Rogue gave his life to fend off the demons and let the Knight travel through the portal. With barely-restrained tears, the Knight entered the portal, and once again found herself in a new world. A world of blocks and stone, of creativity and power. There, she made a new life, finally learning the secrets of nature and ascending to the ranks of the powerful. And yet, her past still haunted her, no matter what she did to forget it. That person... is me. I fled Paradox Space because I could not even save my friends.
...
But what about you?

The figure peers into the Godmodder's memories, forcing the Godmodder to relive them. He sees his birth, his parents naming him Richard, his upscale neighborhood, his fancy house. He sees himself as a toddler, playing with toys and not letting the other kids have any. He sees himself in preschool, spoiled rotten and a spreader of misery. He sees himself in middle school and high school, coding and picking on people. He sees himself meeting Notch, discovering a different universe entirely, and helping Notch shape it. He sees himself on countless forum games, blocking all attacks thrown at him and penetrating every other player's defenses. Such is the way of a game without rules. He sees himself logging on one day on a certain server and seeing a certain Psi-Godmodder fighting at the North Pole of a Land of Blocks and Stone while a red sweater-wearing, cue ball headed puppet watching ominously from afar. He sees the Employer about to be brought into Minecraftia, stopped with no time to spare. He sees himself taking after the Psi-Godmodder, becoming a reality warper in his own right, terrorizing innocent players. He sees himself logging on to a server for a day of trolling, only to find that some pesky players have dared to stand up to him. He sees the destruction that the First and Second Godmodding Wars have wrought on the multiverse. But then he sees something he forgot he had. He sees a part of him that spoke against the horrible things he did. He sees the part of him that, while buried deep, was never truly gone. He sees other parts too. His love of coding, his fear of tubas, his enjoyment of... *shudder* ...Twilight. He sees his love of popcorn, his wish to be respected, his general badass attitude, his hatred of bronies and MLP in general. He sees all the things that make him more than just a dark lord. He sees the parts that make him a person. Then it hits him. That name change was futile. He is Richard, and will always be Richard. And not even the Narrative could change that. Space and time warps, erasing his name change from existence with pure reality-warping creative energy; still far more than the average attack that did damage him, and... wait. What name change? Richard never changed his name. I don't know what I'm talking about. The left over energies assault the Godmodder's mind, filling him with emotion. Empathy, regret, fear, sadness, anger, frustration. He is utterly overwhelmed. Overwhelmed enough for all his strength to leave and for him to drop DEAD. Meanwhile, back in the real world, the Quills of Echidna clatter to the ground as Lothyra is hit with the full force of her own emotions. Her failure as a Sburb player, the abandonment of her moral code in the pursuit of power and progress, the narrow-minded and callous recklessness that cost her everything she had built up... and the realization that she wasn't really that different from the person she hated the most. It's too much. Lothyra collapses on the ground, deep in a coma. After the Planet Express Crew is released from the TARDIS, they find her unconscious body and carry her to the Planet Express Ship, then wait for what comes next.

In the Mindscape, Lothyra's unconscious form finally comes to. After some momentary confusion, she is informed by the Planet Express Crew about the events of Trial 7...

Sigh... this is what happens when you mess with power that you can't control... Richard really is like me.
Now then...
It's time to finish the fight.

Lothyra stretches her hand out. Suddenly, the Descendants all spot a mass of soldiers marching up the pyramid. As they get closer, you notice that they are ghostly apparitions of the HAYO Battalion that perished in the Massive Battle of the Armies.

Months of effort, only to be destroyed in a few turns... At least now they can make one final stand for the good of all.

The HAYO Battalion then charges at the High Queen, lasers and missile barrages blazing away in an act of vengeance against the Godmodder.

Lothyra turns to Eric.

I'm sorry to say this, but... I don't think I can join your IUPC. After what's happened... I need to rebuild. Rethink my life. Honestly, I don't think I was ever cut out to be the hero that Fiction needs. My actions during this war are major proof of that. But I can advise others who do have what it takes... to make sure that they are better heroes than the Descendants of this war. You know why I say this?

Lothyra pulls out a datapad.

See this? A few weeks ago, we detected a major disturbance in the Void, near the TV Tropes universe. Among the energies we detected was godmodding energy. This war may be over, but the threat of godmodding still exists, especially if Alpha somehow manages to survive. I'm going to search around for answers, prepare for what's coming... and then, when a godmodder once again threatens a major universe, I'll be there, not as a Descendant, but as a mentor. Something we should have had in this war.
...
Anyway, if it doesn't bother you, I have one last request. I need to go back to a server that hasn't been relevant for years... my home server. The location of HAYO's headquarters. Here's the coordinates.

Lothyra hands Eric the datapad with the coordinates on it. Huh. That's a name that hasn't popped up in a while.

Thanks for that, Eric.

Lothyra exits the TARDIS and steps out onto a familiar server. As she heads towards her destination, she walks past the remnants of a titanic conflict that once tore this server apart. Droikedas, Starcraft army wreckage, ghost pirates, Spore pirates... You suddenly realize that this world is none other than Genericraft. The place where it all began. And where Lothyra began as well. Finally, after escaping the Battlefield of the First Godmodding War, she reaches an abandoned factory with the sign "HAYO Conglomerate Lld." written above the entrance. The ruins of her former corporate empire. Ruins that still contain items worth scavenging. Lothyra enters an adjacent room to find numerous Computercraft turtles, some still in pristine condition. Using her neural lace, she interfaces with them, giving them new instructions. The ones that are still functional come back to life, and head towards the storage area. Upon reaching it, they begin to transfer all of the storage area's valuable resources outside in a central location. Once the transfer is complete, Lothyra places all of the materials inside her Bag of Holding, then heads back to the TARDIS.

This is the last time I'll ever see it...
No, this isn't the end. This is a new beginning.

Lothyra enters the TARDIS and requests to be taken back to Eric's planet. Upon arrival, she begins removing the contents of the Bag of Holding. Fifty people emerge from stasis pods, along with an oversized quantum-optical mainframe.

Alright people, let me give you a heads up! The HAYO Battalion may be no more, but that doesn't mean we should just disband and head our own ways. There's still godmodders out there threatening the multiverse, and we need to be prepared for when the next one attacks a major universe! While we are shifting away from a combat focus, we do need to rebuild our manufacturing capacity and build a fleet of transport spacecraft with not just faster than light travel but interuniversal travel capacity! It may take us years, but we will not go gently into that good night! We will rise from the ashes! Let's do this!
