Mocha follows close behind Java as she heads East.

Contritum - Round 8

Been a rough few past days over on my end of things. Dop is admittedly a tad overdue... Ah well, I'll get right around to getting it together right now, eh? Yeah, sure.


Chinook headed to the old road, then went South. Loading area... What Chinook initially saw was that there's a campfire burning, despite the lack of real need for a campfire in the middle of a sort of twilight-like between-day-and-night light level. Several Defaced of different basic types are gathered around, doing their own respective things. Something particularly of note is that one Elemental Sniper with the skull head... Oh, and maybe the Alerter that's about to scream at him.

Strix headed to the old road and killed off the Carrier there. Probably for the best. That thing was just going to be a nuisance later on if it lived.

Morningstar went up the Watchtower and took the drone. +1 Broken Drone obtained. Whee. He then went to the East, further along the old road, and closer to the sound of conflict. Loading area... Further along the road, more signs of grass and trees can be seen. For the sake of convenience, they have all been rendered in different shades of green, as their true light-deprived pale complexions would be irksome to represent on a white background such as this one. There is little time to dwell on the presence of plant life, as up ahead along the path, the sound of a powerful weapon firing shakes the air and the land. Up in the distance ahead, there's quite the group of Defaced gathered around in front of a large building, some dead folk in broken power armor lying on the ground just outside the front door, shattered pieces of palisades... To put things simply, a battle which has not gone well.
Someone (thankfully) fairly human-looking peers out from behind a tree, noticing Morningstar's presence and briefly staring at him as though trying to guess at what exactly he is. From here, it's possible to make out a few traits - that person is a woman, she's wearing a (somewhat) ripped suit, one of her arms has been violently torn off in a way that's leaving actual bone sticking out the injury, there's also a few metal wires dangling out from there, her eyecolour is an unnatural shade of black, and she's very much not on the side of those guys attacking the house. She raises one hand into the "ssh be quiet" position, then beckons...

Java also went East. Mocha also went East. What, do you really expect me to have much to say about that?

Strix then yeets himself towards the question mark lady.

Chinook quickly bails out of the area and heads further along.

Auth follows along behind Strix, having appeared suddenly and quietly. Auth beats Strix there, in fact, having coated himself in invisible ink to suppress his presence to make sure that the others don't see him. Especially the glitch people.

Auth then taps the girl on the shoulder, and he does his best to start patching up the wound. Right now, she just needs to not bleed out before anything else can happen.

Morningstar attempts to divert the Defaced's attention away from the healers, shining bright lights at them while staying just outside of their reach.

Strix does some changing of skills, then heads over to the unknown woman behind the tree. I'll cover this soon...

Chinook wisely backs out from the current area, moving to a different area, namely Further Along. The Alerter that was about to start screeching just sort of stares as it realizes it can't figure out what it was meant to be screeching at, then disregards the brief encounter and buggers off to another part of the campfire.

Auth joins Strix in moving to interact with the unknown person. Through the power of blind-ass convenience, the Defaced somehow don't see him despite the questionable amount of room behind the tree. The patch-up work seems to have helped a bit - at the very least, blood isn't just dropping onto the floor anymore.

Morningstar decides to be a distraction. While this is very much successful, it's also drawn the attention of the Defaced, and pretty much given up the fact that there are people nearby. Which means I'm probably gonna have to load a battle now...

Processing conversation - Strix, Auth

The woman standing in front of you both stares impassively. She doesn't seem to react to the patch-up job, in fact it's almost as though she didn't feel it. She blinks a single time. It soon becomes evident that her eyes have pure black irises. There's something very unnatural, artificial even, about the particular colouration there. Beyond that, there is also the rather formal suit she's wearing, albeit with one sleeve torn at about the same point as her arm was, and her (probably naturally) black hair, trimmed quite short yet still having a presence there on her head. After some time, she speaks.

??: I see that some among your number are at least confident enough in what you have now. Confident enough to come here first. Or perhaps you merely have a pragmatic reason in mind...
??: Regardless of your reasons, help would be appreciated. As you can see, we have already been in a fight. One that did not go well for us. The soldiers are underequipped, and in this case, do not have the numbers necessary to secure a victory.
??: Even my presence, unfortunately, has proven unable to change the outcome of this skirmish. One of those creatures took my arm... well, some of my arm. Regardless, I've had to abandon the usual weaponry.
??: Perhaps now that you have arrived here in number, this particular battle will have a more favorable outcome for us. That, I am thankful for.

She inhales, deciding now to fetch her weapon... That is one big-ass sword, especially considering she's forced to one-hand it. Still, she doesn't seem too bothered.

??: My name is Planner. It is the name I have chosen for myself, and the only name I have ever needed.
PLANNER: You are welcome to introduce yourselves once this battle is through.

'Splodimus moves to the Further Along battle. He spawns in at (B13) before casting Mirror Image, putting his hard-light clone at (B14).

Chinook spawns at C12, moves to E12, and shoots the first sniper.

Strix does a monkaS.

Strix moves to H4, then uses Enchant, on Ice mode.

Java spawns at C9 and thinks some more... yeah that’s really it. I think I’ll be using this spell a lot at the beginning of battles

Mocha spawns at C6 and sidesteps to C5, then summoning a mirror image at D5. Her mirror image moves to H4.

Morningstar spawns at C10, moves to F10, and guards.

Latte spawns at B6 and tries her best not to awoo because stealth or something. She then dashes over to C2, actively deciding to follow Auth around incase she’s injured.

Contritum - Round 9

...Been a while since the last dop, huh. About that time again, I suppose...

Nothing much on the map to do, aside from some moving of people so they're in the right places. That makes that easier, at least.

Auth targets the planner with Teneveil.

Strix basic attacks Infester2, then moves to H7.

Noting her distance from the main threat of the battlefield, Java decides it's likely a safer idea to strafe along the edges of the battlefield, making her way up to E5 by abusing diagonals, stopping by briefly to wave at Mocha, and meditating. Might as well get some use out of the turn.

Morningstar moves to G10 and crushes Infester1.

Trait debuffs on Infester1 and Reaper1.
