------------------------------ Hell, I should make some new gear for whenever Crya resigns... And so Destiny crafts a few things. Regal Enforcer She also takes off her Watcher's Rags and puts on her normal clothes before going to Marron. Ah, hello Marron. I expect Crya to be coming back soon, and in the case that she wants to resign from active combat, I would like you to create some clothes with the same observing functionality as these Rags, but something more appropriate to wear as well as more powerful.. ORIGIN OF SIN
(This all should occur after Bass tosses me over to L20.) The Pustules' attacks ripple against my shields, which emanate outward from my outstretched arms. As they do, the surfaces of the energy barriers begin to glow with absorbed kinetic energy, but my defences remain intact. "FRAN": Oh, that is simply wonderful. I absorb my shields back into the rune-projectors on my wrists. I wait a moment, then flick my wrists outwards, and push. "FRAN": I've come to make an announcement. "FRAN": The First Sin's a BITCH-ASS motherfucker. I proceed to unleash my Shield Burst on the poor, innocent tiles near me. Anyway, I do still have an actual turn to attend to. I summon a Mirror Image to my north in L19, creating yet another Fran. "FRAN": Welcome to the world, me. ""FRAN"": I... ""FRAN"": Whoa, this is trippy. -------------------- |

Battle - Orange of Sin
Irongutta stays put and uses Skeletal Toss to crush AmalEye6 with a full 6 tiles of movement damage (60, as per the AmalEye's passive) on top of Skeletal Toss's normal crushing damage. Irongutta exhaled loudly through his nose in response to Magnolia getting upset by the idea of blowing up the catacombs. "Alright, fine fine. We ain't gonna blow it up." However, something about how Magnolia described the First Sin didn't sit right with him. And the more he thought about it, the deeper the pit in his stomach got. "An' just 'ow can ya be so sure yer leader likes this? Ya said it yerself, he can't speak. Unless ya got some kinda extra weird gits in yer ranks that can read his mind or somethin'. Wot I'm sayin' 'ere is that my gut feelin' really don't like this whole situation one bit." As for her request to resolve things peacefully, Irongutta furrowed his brow. Until the last handful of days, Irongutta didn't really know what peace meant. "Well, ya got any better ideas on 'ow to resolve this, Magnolia? I ain't one to negotiate wivv big rooms made o' flesh n' eyes that want us dead. Or worse!" |

The Triumphant(?) Return!
Thanks to Tazz for helping me out on the discord with the sheet. A Hexagon (character sheet) Hex, after a long period of inactivity.. Does not reappear. No! Instead, a floating Hexagon appears. It unfolds into the form of a human being resembling Hex, and proceeds to creep over to him and steal his stuff before kicking him back into the great inactivity void. The.. Hexagon strikes a pose. HEXAGON: I AM THE GREAT AND MIGHTY HEXAGON. I AM HERE TO HELP. PLEASE DO NOT RESIST. It(?) then walks off, hoisting Hex’s gear over its shoulders. It jumps down the stairs to the basement, and proceeds to claim a Slayer’s Helmet, additionally donning the Rainbow Cloak. It then rummages through the Cache, retrieving several things from the inventory. (Apologies if the crafttext is subpar. Crafting isn't my strong suit, and it's been a while.) Aeragaforce Sliders Excitebike. Red Wind Rockets Hexagon equips its new gear, and blasts off to Zone 4.5 in a convenient scene transition! Battle Actions! Hexagon spawns in at K27, and dashes over to G27! They deliver a kick to the Netwyrm Head, then retreat to E27. -------------------- Just a guy who likes DTG.

(GP spend: I buy a second level of Intellect!)
I cast terraform on I22 and I23 once they're ruined, turning them into barricades! L21, 22, and 23 are also targeted, As well as as one other tile of Ruined that people end up standing on before turns end that I can target, turning all the tiles refered to there into Mana Wells. if nobody standing on ruined fluxflesh, then that extra tile goes to clearing H21 into another barricade, I guess. I also sip some manabloom tea, giving me some energized to keep my Mana up. Non-battle actions: I see there is an explosive device. Hm. hmmmmm. Well, I can't bury it again, it might get set off. Alright, first, I retrieve 4 flame redirectors, and place them at the 4 directions from the explosive,so as to contain all horizontal components of the blast. I anchor them in place with terraform, fusing them into the ground with solid stone so they won't get knocked back. I make Very sure not to even get close to nudging the explosive as I do this, and have a terraform on a metaphorical hair trigger in case any rubble falls down. Next, I retrieve one of the assorted chairian weapons, specifically a Magiriflers' Magirifle. I use the weapon to imitate their deploy barrier skill, creating a shell of energy barriers around the explosive. I make the barriers very small, though, so that I can layer them, and so each barrier will be more resilient due to covering a far smaller area. Once I've encircled the explosive with 3 layers of force barriers- if I don't manage that this round, I stop here and meditate before continuing next round, as barriers have no time limit- I retrieve a Glacial Cluster, and use That as the focus for a spell which I channel through the allied-to-me force barriers in an attempt to freeze the explosive solid. If the explosive freezes- as opposed to detonating- I reach a hand through the force barriers and attempt to place the explosive into the inventory. If the explosive detonates at either of these points, i activate trion form and use the shape-changing nature of the Scorpion trigger- along with the significant resilience of Trion against assault by ordinary matter- to seal the explosion in as quickly as possible, then revert to normal after the explosion has passed, probably losing a fair bit of SP. If the explosion gets past the Scorpion-based barrier, it will run into the layered Force Barriers, which have more then enough HP with the 3 layers to survive any bombs rebels are known to use to my knowledge, even with AoE. If the explosion gets past the layered force barriers, it will run into the flame redirectors, which are fixed into the ground and will 'absorb' any heat, leaving only a plume of smoke to emerge from the top at worst. When I've finished extracting the bomb, assuming I'm not still layering force barriers by rounds end, I put all of the items I used back into the inventory, consuming nothing save for, possibly, some of my SP. (if we treat this as me entering trion form, then the battle ending 1 round after, then I should lose about 50 to 80 SP total). SUMMARY: I carefully set up three different layers of protection around the Bomb, attempt to freeze it with magic from range, and, if it doesn't detonate on being frozen (I don't think most bombs detonate on being frozen?), attempt to put it in the inventory. If the bomb detonates, I also use 50 to 80ish SP to contain the explosion before any of the other layers of protection. |

Auth closes his eyes.
AUTH: Mm... a fair point. Back to the drawing board, I think. AUTH: I'm reasonably sure we don't have anything that grants invisibility right now either... Auth rummages through the Inventory, pulling out a handful of Sanctified Rounds. Auth then has An Idea:tm:. AUTH: It might be dangerous to face it in there, due to the limited fighting space, but these... AUTH: If they don't immediately disintegrate the thing, I imagine that it should draw it out into a safer location... Auth tosses them up in the air, and they float in a circular formation. Auth then opens the door, and watches. AUTH: It's a bit of a distance for it to come this way, so I can see it and shoot it before it gets to us. Probably. Auth waits for the Exhibition to get to the doorway, and as soon as it does... Bang! Like a gunshot, and one of the bullets fires as though being contained in an invisible gun. It should, all things going to plan, hit the Exhibition. If it doesn't die, Auth shoots it again. Repeat until it dies. AUTH: You wouldn't happen to have a a hairpin, would you? I saw a locked box and we'll need to get it open. ---- In Battle: Auth casts Guardian on Asha after moving to L28. -------------------- They say that there's no rest for the wicked, until they close their eyes for good.

==BATTLE==
Crystal and Flux Crystal look at each other, then speak in unison. "Clearly, we are in fact both looking fine." They high-five. Flux Crystal moves up to I25. He takes his poetry notebook and reads a ASSET_DATA_CORRUPTED. for Crystal where Crystal.isFluxShade == False; Crystal.apply(Focused3,3) Crystal.apply(Guardian3,3) That ASSET_DATA_CORRUPTED felt like it had a clear, strong meaning. He then casts Exertion, buffing his next basic attack -- the buff is then applied to first a blast of Disabling Dust to Amalgamated Eye 5, then a direct slash to it. Non-Flux Crystal, buffed by Flux Crystal's ASSET_DATA_CORRUPTED, plants Nightmarron's point in the ground and aims at Old Guard 5, firing a set of Rapid Rounds straight into his face. He then pulls the scythe out off the ground, whirls a second, and brings it down on the Netwyrm Head, slicing through it. -------------------- Thymium planning sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xSq...dit?usp=sharing

<ROUND... 221>
Look, I think it's simpler for everyone involved to just have a numerical counter, instead of a text-numerical counter. If you have feedback on this, do say something! As Hannah shoots more Iti, she muses with Yew. As Yew thinks, she doughnuts a harpy. A thought then occurs to the bow. YEW: If you disagree with your party's actions, we can do something about it! YEW: We can melt them. Give them what they deserve. YEW: We can make them understand. YEW: And, if they disagree... Yew suddenly fires a bolt at bolt at the Engie Drone's body, dissolving it. Their loot flows into Mustache Girl's inventory. YEW: Besides. YEW: Do you really need them? YEW: When it comes down to it, your party seems too soft. YEW: To do what must be done, Chairians will need to die. YEW: If they can't understand that, they're hopeless! Boshi also decides to harrass the Jotun, blasting off chunks of armor with a Railgun! This also has the nice side effect of removing some chunks of flesh as well... which also impairs the Jotun's rock throw. A huge plume of water sprouts near Boshi as a boulder narrowly misses him. Venia engages in STRIFE with the Scale Reaper! She immobilizes the Reaper with a quick cast of Hearts, then springs forward towards the Reaper! Her "lightsaber" promptly meets the blade of the Scale Reaper's scythe. It then immediately launches a counter attack, a scythe blade ripping into Venia's leg, leaving a nasty wound. However, Venia doesn't let up, her flurry of blows eventually slipping through the Reaper's guard, and lobbing off one of its arms! It drops onto the ground, before destabilizing and dissolving. The Reaper doesn't seem to care much though, and its arm slowly begins to regenerate. Emphasis on "slowly", though: now's a perfect chance to strike! Venia also heals up her earlier shallow cut. ...Despite being slowed, the Reaper still manages to fly up a considerable distance. Ranged attacks may be required. The Bass plushie pulls on Venia's clothing again, signalling her attention. BASS PLUSHIE: that reaper thing is cool BASS PLUSHIE: do you think other rose cultists have these in them, too? BASS PLUSHIE: i wonder Elsewhere, in the Catacombs, Mr. Krabs decides that the best solution to all of his problems is to go and obliterate the statue. The cultist in the room suddenly jumps at Mr. Krabs, tackling him to the ground and cancelling his attack. CULTIST: whoa, whoa whoa! CULTIST: you can't just go and obliterate the thing! CULTIST: that statue's bound to this hallway! we could all die if you destroy it! CULTIST: so... don't! The restaurant owner then asks of the whereabouts of Magnolia's father? CULTIST: why should i tell you? CULTIST: so you can blow them apart with your... thing? CULTIST: i don't know what that weapon is ...Really, it's incredible that he had the confidence to charge a sword. He probably didn't even know it was about to shoot a laser. EYEBALL? That's not a question, but EN crafts a bionic eye! This uses MAPLE: Ooh, wow! MAPLE: This thing looks cool! I mean, I don't know if it'll work, but... MAPLE: If you made this with Gaiameld, and it's not simply just a regrown, wooden part... Maple, reaches into her right eye, and tugs on a burnt sphere that is presumably what's left of her eyeball. Obviously though, this hurts a lot, and Maple is forced to stop tugging on it. MAPLE: A-Agh! MAPLE: I-I thought that, since I can't really feel much where my burns are, besides a pretty constant dull pain, maybe removing it would be painless...? MAPLE: That is... not the case. MAPLE: Awkward question. MAPLE: Can you just like, rip out my eyeball? MAPLE: M-Maybe not as grizzly as a "rip", but just make it quick. MAPLE: Installing the eye afterwards shouldn't be too hard, assuming I'm not doubled over in pain... ...Is Verdana qualified to rip an eyeball out of a Chairian? Probably not, but let's see how that goes! Echoss rambles about metals to Marron. From the look on the puppeteer's face, it's clear she's heard about roughly zero of fthose. MARRON: U-Uh... MARRON: Are... are those even real names? MARRON: Who names a metal "True Steel"? Like, was normal steel not steel-y enough? While Marron continues to get confused about metal, Echoss also decides to help Maple with a gear retrofitting thing! While he fails to actually produce a craft, Maple happily takes the materials, and sits down. MAPLE: Heeeey, stuff! MAPLE: Thanks a bunch! This should be plenty to fix it up. She strips herself of her armor with incredible speed, leaving herself in little more than a t-shirt and shorts. Soon enough, she's opened up a few plates on her armor, and begins to tinker with her gear. It's immediately apparent that the circuitry in her armor is... questionable to say the least. MAPLE: I've always had a bit of a knack for this sorta thing. MAPLE: It was just a hobby, but it became pretty essential after I became a Scarlet and flew into a bunch of trees during training. MAPLE: The repair guy really, really hates my face. MAPLE: So, this shouldn't take me long- A burst of sparks plumes from her booster greave, and it takes off into the distance. MAPLE: ...Good thing you've got the spare. MAPLE: Maybe... Maybe you should do this? MAPLE: Repairing it is one thing... changing how it works is another. ...The materials have not been consumed. Yet. Back in the Everground, Pionobot engages in combat with the Iti below him, sweeping a beam down that hits both Edges and the Bilemother. This doesn't deal too much damage to each, but it's something. The Edges then retaliate, blades flying up at the bridge! Pionobot is hit for (5) damage, a deal of the blades that would've skewered him slamming into the bridge. The bridge splinters and cracks: if it takes much more damage, things may get bad... Destiny makes the Regal Enforcer! She tapes together a Heavenly Regalia, the Dual Windforce Daggers, and 2 Sanctified Alloy into a shape that vaguely resembles the Regal Enforcer. She then hits up Marron, asking her for an upgrade to the Watcher's Rags. MARRON: Huh. Haven't seen you in awhile. MARRON: Guess you've finally decided to stop looking like a hobo goddess, and upgrade from your rags? MARRON: A fine choice. This'll take a second... Zoop. In a few moments, Marron produces the Watcher's Garments for Destiny. MARRON: And... there. Standard sorta black bodysuit thing. I don't have your measurements, but this should fit. And if not... well, it's kinda stretchy, so you'll live. MARRON: While really, the clothing of a "goddess" should be far shinier and pompous, this should be a nice compromise between form and function. MARRON: Maybe you'll like the silver trim, though? Matches the hair when you do that... thing. Y'know. Marron does some weird gestures with her hands, trying to convey... something. Hex reappears! Except this time, he's a Hexagon! This hexagon makes the old Hex a hexagonner, and loots his equips. It then manufactures a whooooole lotta gear, then hexagons off to the Rosen Catacombs to go kick a worm in the throat. JOE does bomb disposal! He places 4- actually, make that 3- Flame Redirectors around the bomb in a triangle formation, which should, at least in theory, contain the blast. These are then Terraformed in place, surrounded with barriers, surrounded with more barriers, freezes the bomb, and... well, freezing the bomb is actually a pretty practical way to deal with it, so maybe the rest of that was overkill...? With the bomb safely frozen, JOE is free to yeet into the woods, disposing of it. Anyway, with the bomb gone, you now have more usable soil. Hurray! No materials are consumed. Auth fires Sanctified Rounds at an Exhibition! They pass right through the beast, fragmenting against the wall behind it. Another volley is fired, doing the exact same thing. The Exhibition doesn't even roar once it turns around and sees Auth. It does however, begin to approach him very slowly and menacingly, mouth agape. Thousands of blades threaten to puncture his flesh- NANA: A-AH! RUN FOR IT! Nana grabs Auth by the arm, and drags him back into the cafe, slamming the door shut behind her. A few tense moments later, her hand practically fused to Auth's, Nana works up the courage to poke her head back out of the cafe. It looks like the Exhibition hasn't followed. She shuts the door, and breathes a sigh of relief. NANA: W-What's up with that thing!? NANA: I-It doesn't make any sound, b-bullets phase right through it, a-and it's not chasing us i-into the hallway... NANA: I-It's all so... s-strange... NANA: Something's up, m-maybe? I-I don't know... ...Seems that Nana's worn herself out a bit. The next time something goes awry, she might not be able to extract Auth in time. Irongutta chats with Magnolia. How can the axe be so sure that the First Sin likes their modifications? Magnolia pauses for a bit. MAGNOLIA: Well, I know that back when he could speak, he requested these changes! MAGNOLIA: I don't think he's changed his mind, right? MAGNOLIA: Or maybe he has, and he just can't tell us. MAGNOLIA: ...Huh. MAGNOLIA: We might want to ask him. He then asks if Magnolia has any big ideas on how to resolve this peacefully. MAGNOLIA: U-Um... MAGNOLIA: I-I don't know! I'm not good at peace! MAGNOLIA: I'm really good at removing limbs, and that's mostly it! MAGNOLIA: Do you have any ideas? ...The axe appears to be getting a bit desperate. <ORIGIN OF SIN, ROUND 3> Nothing too serious in terms of injuries this round, but... the summons are beginning to pile up! Rose Cult reinforcements from the southeast and southwest. Netwyrm heads busting through the ground. If you just rush the eyes, you may quickly find yourselves overwhelmed! -------------------- |

...Well, yes, seeing as freezing the bomb just sorta Worked, it was overkill to do all the other stuff. But I didn't Know freezing the bomb would work, so I did all the other stuff as a backup. Whenever you succeed with plan A, preperations for plan B will always have been overkill, but Plan B was still worth preparing, just in case.
At any rate, with a new tile cleared, I plant some... manabloom, let's say, in it. ... I had a long action here, but the forum ate it. To summarize it, I dig holes at BH59, BJ59, and BJ51 with the shovel, deep enough people who fall in won't be able to get out effectively (I make sure to avoid shoveling any of the manablooms roots, though it should be a non-issue since they haven't had much time to grow), and string up sharpened spider bones shards over BH51 with spider silk attached to poles of reinforced wood, using 2 Spider Silk Spools, 4 Spider Bones, and 2 reinforced wood and making the river largely impassible. BATTLE ACTION: Trap move to N20. I buy 2 levels in Resonant. I move to K20, then either A) terraform K21 through 23, K, L & M18, and K20 into mana wells (Seven tiles due to my 2 buff levels due to Resonant!), or B) Terraform as necessary to cut off or prevent the regeneration of whatever other people killed, plus putting a Mana well underneath myself. |

For turn 222! I think I want to get this in early.
---- AUTH: Hm... it is odd, isn't it? Almost as if... AUTH: I wonder... Auth summons an Ink Specter in the hallway. AUTH: Just give it a second. I think we might be worrying over nothing. The specter walks anti-clockwise around the room. Auth isn't sure where the "Exhibition" is, so this would be the fastest way to encounter it. No attempts are made to dodge. Since Auth can see through its eyes, Auth would know what it does... and Auth would feel a muted version of what the Exhibition would do on contact. If it would actually do anything, Auth would feel a weak aching in that area, like a muscle sore after exercising it. On the assumption that the Exhibition is an illusion, Auth brings the Specter back. AUTH: It's nothing to worry about, Nana. I thought it might be like this... AUTH: The Exhibition is an illusion, to scare off anyone who would try to loot the room. It explains how weird this thing is. Auth walks into the room, and loots the place. He completely ignores the exhibition, since it's fake. He starts with the three open boxes, then stands in front of the locked box. He pulls out two lengths of firm wire. AUTH: Alright, let's see. The lock can't be that complex... Both wires go in, and Auth works the lock for about a minute. Auth mumbles to himself as he picks the lock... until the lockbox pops open. AUTH: There we go, it's open. Simple lock, relatively... no trouble. Another seemingly random skill. Auth loots the box to see what's inside. Afterwards... AUTH: Well, there's another room here to check. How about we do that, then go up to the big fight? ---- In the meantime, Auth has sent up his Specter to see how things are going. Fortunately, it's almost impossible to tell the difference right now. Auth goes to Zone 1... and notices the enormous group of people. AUTH: Excuse me! Would it be too much trouble for someone to tell me what has transpired here? Auth notices pretty quickly that Maple is there, though... AUTH: That's one of the Valkyries, right? Is she okay...? Auth arrived in time to see her try to pull out a burned eye. AUTH: Good god, stop! Stop! Your eye got burned, huh... Auth glances to the unconscious Rebel, Linseed. Not that he knows who that is or what he's done. AUTH: Did you try to rebel against the rebellion? Not that it's a bad thing that you did that, the idea is amusing. If I may, I'd like to make a counter-proposal to... well, tearing out your eye and replacing it with another one. AUTH: Would you be okay with it if we repaired your eye? We could make that eye that was made for you into a cool eyepatch or something... AUTH: Actually, it would be a huge favour for us... or well, me, if you allowed it. There's another person we need to try this treatment on, and an indication of its efficacy on Chairians would be much appreciated.... Auth looks rather concerned for Maple's injuries... ---- Battle Action! First, Auth moves to K24. A bright shining light envelops the Reflector, as Auth casts Purify on them. -------------------- They say that there's no rest for the wicked, until they close their eyes for good.

Venia hat-pings Ulcer3 and then fires her basic attack at Algalmated Eye 3, also using the Elemental Blaster to fire on the same Fluxflesh tile as before, removing it. Cushion retreats to C19. "Blight the butterfly! Blight the abomination who manipulated the Old Rose into this! There will be NO reunion! We will tear the fiend limb from limb and annihilate it!" Venia's Lovely uses The Fairy Flies to teleport to B20 and targets Cushion with Energized3 and Enlightened4 for 4 rounds. Cushion in turn hands off Cotton Guard to the Lovely via bonus action. The Lovely retreats to B21. Basscaper! "Crap!" Venia shouts as she's cut. She doesn't hesitate to burn the remainder of her Heart in this pseudo-battle to heal the new wound as quickly as possible. And then the damn thing had to start flying while she had a melee weapon... Of course, that's why she was so careful to position herself to the right wall-loaded with entropic corruption. Venia pondered on the previous blows-how the Scale Reaper moved and attacked her swings. It was a terror in melee, like actual Scalenoids were, but even if it had a Scalenoid's abilities it wouldn't be able to reach too far away from itself. It's regeneration was slow, but not so slow as to not be noticeable. It could fly. Of course, baiting it out to attack would be close to necessary, if she didn't have a mindscape manipulation tool that could fire bolts. Of course, pretending to have a limitation she didn't could be handy. Venia doesn't face away from the Scale Reaper as she draws the lightsaber she basically made out of the Calm Mind Shard, concentrates a bit on how she wants to execute her next action, and plunges it back-behind her, and into the wall, where it immediately catches on the excessive Entropic corruption. The Ordo immediately starts violently purging a great deal of the corruption, which would likely piss off her foe and prompt it to rush in, even as Venia readied her weapon in a defensive stance Of course, that was only step one. Step two was to send the now-blaze of Ordo directly at the Scale Reaper's charging self in a massive conflagration of homing fireballs that took almost no time to slam into the Scale Reaper, if they could. Fast, angry, and plentiful. What didn't immediately manage a hit sailed back into the corruption at different spots, purging it further. On the assumption that the Scale Reaper would somehow survive that enough to make a proper counterattack, (and to be fair Venia herself predicted as much), Venia's 'lightsaber' was already in a defensive position, ready to parry the scythe by simply moving closer than its blade, then catching it once she was ahead of the blade. Scythes, unwieldy as they are, couldn't be shifted quickly or easily, allowing Venia to keep the Scale Reaper from attacking simply by pressing her body to the weapon's shaft, once the blade was behind her. Assuming her maneuver works as she thinks it would, anyways. Rosen Catacombs "You need more safety measures, then! I tell you what, matey-I figure out what's going on here that's got this stupid thing jammed, and you tell me what I want to know. Deal?" Assuming the Rose Cultist says yes, Mr. Krabs investigates the wooden contraption for any signs of being jammed, or other signs of tampering with the general structure of the room. |
