I break out of the cockpit and land next to Rex.

"Ohhhhhh, I see the problem."

With a flick of my hand, the ground spikes underneath where Rex's leg was. Another flick and the ground solidifies into the exact shape of Rex's leg. I slam my palm into the earth and a ripple of colour spreads across, changing the earth into metal.

"Ugh."

I jump back into Rex and brace for damage control.

I open a crate, find it full of various munitions, and grin maniacally. Now, one could simply fire all these things one at a time, if you were a boring non magic mortal, but...

I freeze time everywhere except for a small sphere right around me, pick up each weapon in the crate, and fire it where i saw tabbune was just before freezing time, each bullet, plasma blast, and rocket stopping just at the edge of the time sphere. When i unfreeze time, all the rounds blast forward in blunderbuss like fashion. Unfortunately for hyena, i care not for who i hit when attacking my target, and i may or may not have waited for tabbune to get close enough to punch him(hyena) before freezing time on purpose...

Hyena sets the Gleipnir Frame and does a combo attack with the Sergal Knight and his candle. 2500 Dmg! Fseftr sets REX’s joints on fire. 1600 Dmg! Infinity fires a triple attack at REX for a combined 3000 Dmg!

Jondanger inflicts 2000 DMG on himself as he runs Tabbune over for 2400 DMG! Engie goes Bullet Gatling gun with several boosts and buffs on REX. 2700 DMG! Darkness shields the AG’s while it gets paralyzed. Pillow causes parts of REX’s miniguns to fail. No more miniguns.

Netpatham flails against GL Tabbune.. doing nothing. Feathered’ repairs his REX and runs damage control. GL Tabbune slugs Hyena across the face for 10,000 DMG EFFECT.

Ripsaw moves into the wizard room and snipes the REX. 1600 dmg! Phoenix implodes a lightning sphere around GL Tabbune. 1900 Dmg! Wyld unleashes a bullet spam, firing at both of them for 3000 Dmg! Jindra moves into the tunnel. Pastry draws a kunai, but nothing happens.

Earl moves into the nexus field. Laitome can’t seem to decipher any more blueprints. It looks like those will have to wait.

To be clear: This is very clearly red-tinted fire with some red energy crackling around it, and anyone who could observe it with some more magical means will quickly realize that is certainly not ordinary fire even by the standards of magic: It seems to legitimately have been empowered by the Narrative, directly.

It takes no mathematical genius to figure out where it ends up in the next few seconds after its creation.

So, I kind of understood the low-down of the situation I was in exactly. The young kid who rescued the younger me was a brand-new (and lucky as all heck) Pokemon Trainer starting his new adventure. I didn't exactly get what he would DO, as that was a wide variety of things.

Understandably, the very first was wanting to shove me into a Poke Ball, because then I wouldn't have to walk everywhere and I could rest while he did the traveling for me-plus, considering that there are legitimately people who freaking worshiped me in churches (honestly it kind of makes me uneasy to think about that), it would be beneficial to not draw attention to me. I wasn't strong, not yet-and the prospect of controlling a minor deity would certainly be interesting.

Except, even if it wasn't the case, for me it looked extremely tiny in there, despite the fact it apparently isn't. I've gotten...Better, but my newfound Claustrophobia back then was extremely strong, and I still don't like the idea of going inside a tiny capsule. This lead to me basically darting around him and trying to hide from the Poke Ball for a good minute while I made really loud noises, not thinking about any of the possible good. To his credit, he certainly tried, but he conceded soon enough.

"Jeez, you're really skittish around it, aren't you?"

Of course, we would have to go into a town soon enough. Nate DID take me to one to begin with, but as it turned out only a nurse actually knew, no-one else, so it would make a massive commotion. My idea on the situation was to just turn into a human. That's practically a Legend standard: If you need to go into a town and not reveal your Legend identity, you just look human. There's a reason we're occasionally called Legendary Pokethrobes rather than Legendary Pokemon (occasionally).

Now, Nate here didn't know about that, and I wasn't a telepath so I couldn't just tell him. Adding onto that conundrum, I had missed a key point-being a freshly born Legend, I would be wearing no clothes whatsoever.

We walked into the nearest town, a nice rustic place with a big old belltower as the most noteworthy feature. I trailed behind Nate, hoping no-one would notice until after I did my thing.

The following scene was nothing short of brilliant and embarassing. In hindsight, I can't help but chuckle at my past self and the whole sitaution in general.

Now, it took all of five seconds upon stepping into the town borders for me to catch eyes on someone that was about to notice us. He was a guy on a high clifftop to our left, so Nate didn't notice. He hadn't seen us yet, so I took the opportunity and thus transformed immediately to avoid the commotion. It was a very fast and noiseless thing-Nate did not notice, and I was behind him. AT the same time, I kind of couldn't help but IMMEDIATELY notice something was off about the situation but not what (the lack of clothing).

Sometimes you wish you could travel back in time just to kick your own behind.

That's when the guy on the clifftop actually looked at me and I bothered to take in his features. The guy himself looked pretty old, but his hair, it was WILD. No seriously it looked like a stylized explosion. That was awesome and ridiculous at the same time. His clothing felt a lot more subdued, but outside of the blast hair, he looked like your stereotypical middle-aged sensei-slash-loving father. Well, except for his face right then and there, which looked considerably more bewierded.

I have no words to properly describe that face. I'm sorry.

In any case, from HIS perspective, I looked like an orphaned six-year old with absolutely no clothes, and naturally immediately jumped down to help.

In any case, the man proved to be a lot more physically fit than he looked and literally just jumped off of the freaking cliff like he had legs of steel and ran over. He hadn't looked at me, what gave it away, I thought?

"Uh, oh my, oh my."

"Uh, sir?"

"Err, your friend there, he's-"

"Uh, yeah, he's-"

Nate turned to look at me.

"WAITWHAT?! Uh, who are you and, uh, did you see a small blue Ponyta-like thing walk around here? And, uh, why are you naked?!"

...Oh. I thought, my face finally turning red as some level of modesty kicked in. "Uh, I didn't really go anywhere..."

"...Uh, young'un, that makes almost no sense whatso-look, let's just come with me to my house, alright? You need some help"

"Dude, you're just some random stranger! I'm not just randomly trusting some guy who I just met! And seriously, who are you?"

My face just turned redder and redder.

"Uh, I don't really look familiar to you?" The man from the clifftop said.

"Nope."

"I'm the Champion, Alder!" He exclaimed.

"Sir, I'm somewhat skeptical of the claim, can't just trust everyone instantly...I never even saw a photo of him before, really."

"...Uh, where'd I put my wallet-ah, here!" And thusly, Champion Alder revealed his identity and any ambiguity behind it vanished. It looked very legitimate, with eight badges and a hard-to-replicate Champion Ribbon on it and official seals. This was either the Champion or a master imposter.

"Ohmy, uh, sir, wow, I'm just meeting all these weird and important people today-"

"I'M KIND OF MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THE NAKED SIX-YEAR OLD RIGHT NOW!"

"Oh, right! Uh, lead the way, I guess?"

And thusly everyone was some shade of confused as we all took a trip to Alder's house.
