I sigh, then prepare Motor Mouth mode to say what I'm about to say within a time frame that doesn't lead to me being shot from all angles while still being legible to Shadow. I need to be Mr.Exposition and it cannot wait. The following exposition is, in fact, DTG canon by the original DTG 2 (not this game, the DTG 2 over at MC Forums), and is important to know.

This is important beyond your WILDEST dreams: for ninety-nine percent of us, perhaps even all of us period, without the power of the Narrative enhancing us, The Godmodder would literally be invincible to everything we ever did. He wouldn't ever lose a singular hit point. Ever. I mean it. Nothing could scratch him. Not even TICKLE him. Not True-Form Engie_Ninja. Not Asura at his angriest. Not the combined might of the whole house of Weapons and Combat. Not the whole Pantheon organized into a Badass Army. We could try EVERYTHING, and he'd just tank it without even blinking. This isn't always true-but you have to be at Engie's power level to even consider it for long. There's a problem, though, as the Narrative isn't all that good at 'cellular' operations, so to speak. Not really cellular but it's a close approximation. That's where the Update Terminals come in-they're channels for the Narrative, and allow what is typed in it to occur, within reason. A usually-benevolent FirstGuardian is behind it, and it's their job to ensure that the Update Terminal is used to steer events towards the most desirable Narrative outcome, and the First Guardians are also extremely powerful Physical Gods in their own right as part of the Narrative keeping their chosen safe. The only being who can use an Update Terminal without being a First Guardian is The Author, one of the most powerful beings in existence. As for why that is involved in me shoving Carmen's head in a tuba...The Update Terminal is text-based, and it's not exactly the most user-friendly interface ever either. It has to be interpreted somehow in order to work and it has to be done, meaning actions put forth in a confusing manner can lead to some physically impossible Epic Fail, beyond what you'd expect. Like this. How did Carmen Sandiego's head get bent ninety degrees into a tuba when the 'mouth' was placed over her chest wound? You tell me, because outside of my explanation I literally have no idea! It's also the REAL reason you're invulnerable, can channel the power of creativity to do awesome attacks, charge stuff, and, most importantly, can ACTUALLY DAMAGE THE GODMODDER!"

@feathered/jindra If you two aren't going to give charges to anyone else I would recommend giving your extras to me as that would speed up the completion of OCT considerably and ensure they don't go to waste.

I throw a large field of tank mines in front of the tank, and then run further into the Cavern, out of sight. I heard a grenade blast, probably incendiary, and am trying to get to the source of it.

Awh CARP, this is going to suck. If the GM continually FAILS TO CORRECT ONE LETTER IN ORIGIN WAND S ...And HEALING MAJJYKS end up with Tuba-related mutilation...We are so doomed. Doomed I say. DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.

Good, it looks like we're making progress. Red Dragon Archfiend de-spawns. Better hope I draw a good card, so I can keep this up. "Alright, draw!" Speak of the devil... Net throws holes at the mecha, but the Metal Gear REX is nearly 3 areas away. He does hit bluey. 1200 Dmg! Feathered begins spraying minigun fire at Jindra, shooting the fireballs away. Pastry unleashes the Chidori.

   BLUEY DOWN!   

Trip upgrades his slingshot into the durable revolver and pops Yellow Devil. 2000 Dmg! Tabbune tries to attack bluey, but misses. He ends up hitting Netpatham. Darkness ends up frying a glitched silverfish while Cobalt subjects the entire valley to bad fanfiction.

Pillow summons the STONEHAMMER, but can’t hit bluey. He then hits wolfarc in the noggin. Sacred steals Carmen and punts Tazz into Cobalt’s face before the fanfiction may continue. Ripsaw gains 2 more heads.

Piono mows down the rest of the Glitched silverfish and mashes the Yellow Devil’s head. YELLOW DEVIL HEAD DOWN! He also shoots Hyena in the face…

At this point, all the mobs are gone. Suddenly, everyone sees a line of code pop up.

Fseftr attempts to purify the glitched tank. The Tank fires a 40mm shell into his face.

Fseftr is paralyzed for the next round. Someone help him. Seda tosses the fanfiction Molotov Cocktails into the valley. Somehow, she lights the grass on fire.

Valley is now on fire.

Tazz blocks Shadow and Fury, but loses Carmen. At this point, he realizes that no amount of healing is going to fix that crack in her chest. Something is fundamentally wrong here.

Jindra lances the cockpit. 1200 Dmg! Engie attempts to heal Carmen. Nothing.

“..Uhn… what… who?”

Carmen woke up.

Jondanger flattens more zombies with his text wall, while Telmoai finds an earpiece. Putting it in his ear, he begins overhearing voices.

“-agreed to this. All ten of us are here. Don’t back out now just because you found out Omniversal is involved. I didn’t know you had such an aversion to the company.”

“I… May or may not have swindled it out of a couple billion….”

“You’re honestly concerned about that? After all we have agreed to?

“Man, you’d understand if they sent you their custom flavored death threats.”

“Will you be quiet? I have things to do. Like preparing. You said they’re coming here first?”

Talist redeads the zombies. Infinity begins smart bombing the valley, setting Generic’s behind on fire and flooring Trip. Shiny throws a pencil at bluey. The Pencil lands in the grass and catches on fire.

Sacred dons black leather, because black leather is cool. Lord blocks the entrance of the cavern with mines. 1200 Dmg! Wolfarc holds up the head. And notices something inside the eye of the head…

Dj summons Chaos Emperor Dragon who begins rampaging around the valley, due to Bluey being gone. The Alpha Party hat takes 1200 Dmg. Odin arrives with 12000Hp, but loses 1200 Hp due to the dragon.

The problem wasn't domination. Flawed Methodology, maybe. Different avenues could have been taken, different actions could have been considered as a countermeasure. Then again... I should have done away with the cretins entirely. I didn't. Ego. Ego was my problem back then. It's something no amount of Idiot Ball Deterrent is going to ward away. The Problem wasn't what I did wrong. It's what I did right. The Wrong man at the right time, can change just as much as the right man in the wrong place. Hearing the explosions behind me, the man smiled viciously.

I focus my hearing to find the source of the grenade explosion and the faint sounds from afterwards.

A crack in the air suddenly materializes and I step out. I seem to have donned a blood-red cape and a new and improved Book.

I light my hand on fire and wait...

Something something Arena.

Frustrated that my attempt at adding some spice to the battlefield backfired in such a short timespan, I rage and start playing EAS Tones, messing up a random attack this turn. I then jump into the mesa cavern entrance and telefrag the glitched tank's internal machinery with a Highway Cookie.

I also zap the electrum wand.
