@talistThe fact of the matter is, that without charge hunting, big charges have a much higher opportunity cost than small charges. Larger than a linear path. Because you basically have to say I'm not doing anything for a few arcs, in order to pull them off. Anything that fits in an arc is much nicer.
And on specials, you haven't seen the kind of stuff some of us have brought up. I think at the very least Piono can attest that several of us used specials for things that affect the field much more drastically than just doing buckets of damage.

Yes, that's true, but I'm also an absolutely horrid judge of power level when it comes to specials, so I let quite a few go through that I really should not have.

I must agree with everyone who's saying damage needs to be buffed. At the current rate, it'll take like 30 attacks to kill one of the half-bosses, and considering the post rate, that's kinda ridiculous. Low player damage was already a problem in the first TV Tropes game, and you've really made it several times worse. I mean, we've dealt like 10% of the bosses' health in what, two turns. A player should deal considerably more damage than most entities.

first off, I certainly agree that the attack power of players needs to be buffed. 500 SOUNDS like a lot when you have 30+ players and 30x500=15,000. But accounting for player absence, enemy counters, backfires, and other things that result in actions not working, the REAL DPT (damage per turn) is far lower. (notice that the two Duon halves took less than 4000 damage between them in their first turn. players targeting the random mooks instead is not enough to explain it.)
even if we managed to jack the damage rate to around 10,000 DPT, that is still over 4 turns to take out a small boss, without targeting anything else. I think that would make the game a bit of a boring drag. The previous DTG game had a much higher DPT: player actions were around 1000 (generic) to 3000 (clever), more when someone managed to Attack Its Weak Point or such. It's just my opinions, but I think the higher DPT makes the game more exiting.
Now, a few questions @ Herobrine:
- how much damage does a charged single-shot action do at 10 charges (as opposed to a summon)
- When fighting enemy hordes without HP listed ("infantry 150 men" or such) what is attack damage based on.
Now, to what Talist and CO. are brainstorming: I suppose a formula could make a decent general guide, but it should not be a hard and fast rule. Thus far the G Ms (Piono and Herobrine) have had the discretion to tweak the capabilities of summons, and beside that players sometimes give their summons unique characteristics that cannot immediately be evaluated with your equation. Finally: If every summon of the same charge acted identically, it would make the game more boring.

The names of the electrical charges really ought to be swapped. It is just DUMB that the place with MORE electrons is NEGATIVELY charged.Question regarding the update from the 3rd. It's clear what happened with the Neo Galaxy-Eyes Dragon there, but what happened to Utopic Dragon's part of the attack? The description mentions that "Utopic Dragon mauls the blue duon," but there's no indication of whether any damage was done, and Duon's HP only shows 1500 HP lost, from three other instances of 500 damage each.

Using that incredibly flimsy justification and the fact that it's a reference, I obtain the totally balanced and in no way overpowered GATEKEEPER'S SCYTHE(S)! This weapon has the ability to transform into any weapon I have personally had used against me. It's been great with people running around using their OP weapons on anything that moves. Anyways, it appears to be that for some reason Richy Rich slapped me with his Godarm. Yes, that totally happened. Don't look into it. Anyways, I turn the Gatekeeper's Scythe into Broken Anachronism, and cut through some skeleton jockeys.

A solidus appears in my hands. On closer inspection, it is a wand crafted from electrum. On even closer inspection, it is an enhanced wand of wishing, holding 4 charges. Each turn, it recharges by 1 charge.
When I post, I can expend 2 charges to summon an item randomly selected out of the following, which can then be used to attack later:

I complain that we're barely scratching the enemies, in such a grating voice that it literally hurts them all.
I then turn off the voice filter and megaphone, and turn on the Strength Potion II IV (That is, two (intravenous injection), not two four.). Following that, I activate the Critmist diffuser in the battlesuit, give it a moment to reach me, and smash whatever the boss is with a Golden Hammer.

Hello sacred! You're going to get to meet the IUPC in this adventure, I think the Aspects of Unity will like Eric.
@Talist/herobrine/engie Hmm... yeah, I can see what talist is talking about. Herobrine, whether or not to adopt talist's charge system depends on whether or not you prefer enormous charges coming out every one in a while to spice things up, or not having them pop up every once in a while and breaking game balance for periods of time. Seeing how things are already going, (shooting myself in the foot here somewhat) I'm going to recommend using it if you can figure it out.
Also, talist is definitely right about needing to raise player attack power. We're doing next to nothing right now.
Engie, don't complain. Its possible to unleash massive entities. It just means you actually have to work it out with the GM first. I'll give examples. Paradox Dimentio. The L()rd.
