78/78: Seeing Double. basically, I get 'two actions' a round, and essentially double the 'durability' if actions are taken that you deem would kill a normalish human without me trying to counter said actions, they are taken down for a round while they reincarnate, removing one of my actions untill the revival. If you so deem it depending on just how much of an overkill the attack was, it could take a bit longer than one round to revive. they will respawn at each other, or if both are dead, the last point that one of them was alive at, but several feet upwards. Now: the infusion is immune to magic, and carries a slight bonus towards humanoids, but with the infusion kind of 'over' her abilities to use magic are hereby over, at least till the next session or something. the mage has insane strength and magic skills regarding tech infused with magic, and can form them with his mind. Boring huh? Oh and my infusion gets a flavor text artifact wich is a set of gloves that absorbs energy of all forms, particularly kinetic energy, very quickly when active. Like it could stop a boulder flying at her with no effort. The artifact can also disperse said energy in either a destructive or restorative fashion.

As my infusion is about to step into the hole and finish the arch mage, I speak up for a moment. hold up, I've been doing some internal 'tinkering' and I've figured out how to seperate us, close your eyes I'm not taking no for an answer here.

So my infusion closes said eyes, and after a short moment, she finds herself feeling like she is being ripped in half, but with no pain, and after a moment, opens her eyes to see a surprisingly tall man in front of her in a trenchcoat ah, feels good to be in my own body, picked out a new look to.

And so the two sat there for a moment memorizing eachother's faces before moving on to step into the armory. There stood the pair, a white haired red eye 'cat girl'(but don't ever call her that) in white winter clothes, the hood and scarf to be exact, her tail swishing back and forth, and ears twitching at the sounds of combat, followed by the mafia looking guy who was in fact a magiteck specialist with stupidly high strength. Both immortal. My infusion also hands her a pair of gloves, saying when these things are active any thing they touch will have a pretty huge amount of energy absorbed from it, it will absorb pretty much EVERYKIND of energy, including life, but thats the last thing it starts absorbing, and you have mana reserves. Its specifically designed for someone like you, so you won't drain it. It can also release stored energy in... well, alot of ways, take your pick on how you wanna use it.

As they step inside, my infusion begins complaing about how disapointing the mages here are. I mean come ON! the ones back at MY plain of existance were so much TOUGHER! I guess that goes iwthout saying becuase that was a place created pretty much for the entire purpose of gettnig infusions from but, this guy? I mean even regular battle mages could maybe take me down twice before I could get the drop on them, but he couldn't even hit us hard enough to kill us ONCE! these people SU- And with that, she notices the enchanter, and after a moment of silence, points at her with menace and surprise. ... You.

she... she was from the infusion-verse. Ran like a coward while using her enchanters as meat shields. HEY! why don't se settle this for the last time huh? choose your last words, this is the last time. 'Cuase you an I? We were born to die. With that she rushes off to engage the enchanter, while I take a moment to speak to Jindra before doing something myself.

didn't they ever teach you that turning into a 'snake' was a bad idea? And then he goes to take on the battle mage, a pair of 'impact hammers' which is a fancy way of saying knuckle dusters with spells that greatly enhanced the force of a punch, to the point of being able to superheat the air with directional plasma blasts, formed on his hands. how bout a round of boxing?

I rush into the armory to deal with the arch battle Mage while he is drained. I run in the room with my entourage of fish. I proceed to swarm the Mage with 1000 floating piranhas. Since he's drained I highly doubt he'd be able to prevent this. If he's already dead than I collect miscellaneous trinkets from the armory. I'm assuming that wyld managed to kill the enchanter.

I'm hoping for a film flam 4 enchantment.

As the Battle Master that Tartar had attacked fell Tartar turned his attention towards the Arch Battle Master. Using temporal powers Tartar rewound the water molecules in the air around the Arch Battle Master to the point before they had formed water molecules, making the molecules split into oxygen and hydrogen. Tartar ignited the hydrogen by accelerating kinetic energy in the area, creating a huge explosion around the Arch battle Master.

Okay, I'm sorry guys, but I went to sleep late last night, so I'm really burned out. I can do a Q&A, but to avoid having things suck, I'm not going to update. Sorry that that's been happening so much lately, some of my teachers really need to get it through their heads that after all the tests are over is not the right time to try and cram our heads full of garbage. No second posts, but some people aren't getting the opportunity to even get one in for some reason.

@laitome: I'm good, I'm just a bit snarky in my updates.

I see the firestorm magi, and grin. "Time to pull out a quite interesting technique." Twenty-three precisely shaped and skillfully sharpened shards of ichor-infused diamond, incredibly durable and having an even better magic-conductivity, wink in around me and glow with an aura of magic, before easily snapping together into a solid blade. "Bladecasting." The blade shatters, and its shards of diamond, still sheathed in magic, rocket into one of the magi, tearing paths through him before I pull the blade out and back to me. Forcefully. The entire thing rips through him and reassembles into a full blade, magic shimmering along its length. I leap into melee with the same mage, slicing through him near-effortlessly with the incredibly sharp blade. I slice him a couple times, before leaping back to mid-range, breaking the blade into its component parts, and keeping the shards orbiting me, ready for any counterattacks.

I use my newfound powers to slip straight through the wall, into another hallway, hopefully where there's no mages.

I then throw on one of the discarded cloaks of the deaded mages and slink away, towards the center.

Deciding that I have little chance of directly challenging the Obsidian Colossus, I instead turn my eye towards the various critters running around. Noticing that the ground is made out of easily-minable stone, I decide to use my diamond pickaxe to dig out a deep pit under as many of the monsters as possible, with steep walls such that they can't climb out easily. Clustering them together like this should turn them into great targets.

Hrm, may jump in this after school. Someone mind giving me a brief summary of what's going on? OP mentions that we're fighting minions and I don't have a lot of time to read back.

@trip: Ok, we're currently in this... fortress supposedly full of Alien Geometries, and somewhere inside is the Godmodder himself. We gotta search thorugh the fortress to find him, but the catch is that there's all sorts of psychos and nasties defending or simply roaming the fortress, which have to be taken out.

I welcome your help, extra fighting power is useful. In a place this size, you never have enough people.

all right I'll do the substantially larger charge. That one just seemed like overkill though, and the nature of the double action is that its supposed to be somewhat temporary based on the plans that are supposed to unfold within this fort, So how about its both the double charge and an artifact for the infusion? editing it.

This is quite close to the end, and even still, I might just end up speeding things up a little bit more. @wyld: Yeah, I suppose that'll work... still not sure I'm entirely too happy about the double actions thing. @sacred: Huh, I misremembered what that trope was. Not just what it was called, but what it actually was. It appears there is not a trope for what I was trying to convey. Oops.

Jondanger charges into the armory, and pulls out a shotgun, the blast is just absorbed by the arch enchanter, who curses upon seeing that jindra’s beginning to get reinforcements. Shiny braces himself for something going wrong. A piece of trapped ceiling spikes drops from the ceiling and nearly crushes him. That was close. Pastry looks through the walls, then sees the hole in the wall, and jumps through it to join the fight against the two archmages. He bursts through the wall, but when he lunges at the two archmagi, the arch battlemage slams him into the wall with an extendable flail.

Amp suddenly materializes in front of the arch battlemage, and is about to slam into him, and the archmage’s time powers kick in, and he steps around, and the arch enchanter slams the sword into amp’s armor. The starburst being far more effective on someone not empowered with ridiculous amounts of magical shielding, blasting amp into the far wall. Jindra blasts forwards with a consuming black hole. The enchanter curses and throws her sword into it, the sword explodes, but dispels the black hole.

Tabbune is met with similar results when he attempts to rush the arch battle mage, who brings around his massive hammer, slamming tabbune’s dragon-sized head up and back, dazing him. Solar looks around, and dashes around in circles, travelling as far as physically possible in one turn, even if ending in the same point. Fseftr fires an artillery shell through the hole, but it is suddenly deflected by a chunk of earth. A troop of geomancers appears in the armory. “About time you showed up!!” “Now’s not the time, something sent ripples down the alarm system and wiped out half of the wards in the sanctuary. Half the fortress is in lockdown, and the other half is trying to escape.” “I think these guys are responsible.” "gorilla"

Wyld charges forward. The arch enchanter turns pale. “Are you okay?” “Run.” The arch enchanter turns around and dashes down the tunnel made by the geomancers. Wyld jumps at the arch battle mage after he slams a conjured piston into the infusion from the side, and the battle mage turns again, catching the knuckle dusters, which causes him to sink into the ground as the armor transfers the force into the ground. He growls “Alright punk, I haven’t got the time nor energy to mess around with you. Enjoy your outer gods.” The battlemage suddenly rolls backwards, and a chunk of the wall flies into wyld’s face, slamming him backwards.

Pillow charges in as the geomancer and his elite magi create a ripple effect outwards, disrupting the attacks of everyone else, pillow’s swarm of flying piranha is taken out by a cloud of darts. “How did these punks hit you at all?” “I was conserving my mana! I was heading down this way to deal with a stray arch lich that, guess who, Dyerlith accidentally set loose, and I ran into these punks, I didn’t expect one of them to be a bloody witcher!” Then the arch battle mage explodes. He sinks to the floor, his armor singed. “Screw this. I’m done.” The arch battle mage rushes back up the new tunnel.

Maskwolf continues to work his way through the army of lesser undead. Engie cleaves the obsidian colossus clean in half with a wooden sword, the pieces falling into the army underneath, crushing a large number of undead. Then he notices something off to the side… a very well hidden hallway… It might be difficult to get to, since it seems to be smack-dab in the middle of the room. It leads much more directly to the center of the fortress than anything else does.

h2o, in his light runner, continues running over the lesser undead, but encounters a problem in the form of a death knight, that slams his axe down into the hood of the vehicle. H2o shoots it to pieces. Paradise combines usage of his pickaxe and blunderboss to great effect, taking out large numbers of the lesser undead, and even two death knights. herobrine stealthily slips through the walls… and finds himself in an empty area. There is blood spattered everywhere, and heavy footsteps resounding from deeper in the corridor, with shouts of frustration and occasional flashes of light.

Math finishes off the storm spirits and continues on down the next hallway. As he goes down it, he hears three angry voices. “Dyerlith, you need to actually use those pets of yours for once!” “I don’t see why I should! The traps of the castle should finish them off just fine.” “Well obviously they haven’t! And I’ll bet every crown on me that this is your fault in the first place!” “How could it be my fault!? Erith, talk some sense into him!” “I agree whole-heartedly with him Dyerlith, you have a bad habit of summoning massive beasts without the proper bindings, remember when you summoned that Cthulhu bloke? We had to replace half the sanctuary!” “It was for the architect…” “Which architect died the next week because of something ELSE you summoned!” “That’s it, I’m out of here. There’s things flickering all over the mana network in here, apparently we have THREE different paradox breaches, and all of these guys seem to be protected by something else, as well as extremely adept magi themselves.” “What, are we being attacked by another circle!? Preposterous!” “Oh, you think the rest of us haven’t figured out what you and the Headmaster have going on with that Richard person!? If you idiots didn’t think to get counsel approval…” “At this point it’s fairly safe to say that they did not. I’m going to go investigate one of these breaches and see if its as bad as everyone says it is, if it is, I’m getting my department the heck out of dodge.” “Agreed, I’m coming with you.” “It doesn’t matter a word I say, does it!? I’m your superior!!!” “And yet you won’t even risk your precious toys. Screw it, I was planning on transferring circles anyways.” There is the sound of a muffled explosion, and two of the garbled voices grow closer.

Laitome locates a page from zbse’s book, as well as a hidden passageway. Looks like there was always another way in. Shadow consults with laitome, chaoscreeper and the rest of the Party, the entire group finally decides that the best course of action would be to look for the others. They go out, and begin searching, but quickly realize that they are hopelessly lost… And soon find themselves confronted by a man wearing pitch black armor. “And who are you? Oh, wait. You must be some of the creatures ripping this place down. I suppose it was inevitable. This was always the weakest circle. And now we’re all going to die. I suppose I can enjoy one last fight before everything in my life is destroyed.”

Ohboy begins playing one of Dimentio’s themes, and the jester cackles with glee. Oh! It seems you know who I am! How delightful! Dimentio laughs, and to answer moocow’s question, snaps his finger. A box surrounds one of the firestorm magi as they attempt to begin a spell, he looks around in panic as the box is filled with explosions, removing him from view. The other panics, and tries to run away, before being brutally murdered by crystal. Coolstar sets up a smash bros counter, that just barely takes effect in time to keep crystal from being smashed into oblivion by the space and time archmagi.

Zbse unleashes a wave of paradox energy that takes out all the chronomancers and spell weavers in one attack. The time warpers look around in alarm as all of their allies collapse, and zbse slams into the arch spellweaver, only to be caught in a thick weave of protective curses that repel zbse and launch him backwards. The arch spellweaver mutters under his breath and waves the time warpers forwards, moving his hands forwards to create a glowing pattern in the air in front of him.

In the armory, the geomancers all retreat into the tunnel, sealing it behind them, but it is obvious where the stone was resealed. Zhukov’s army doesn’t do much, and Sundowner looks in the armory, and is disappointed when he finds the fight already over. Remilia is about to leave, but discovers the armory is right through the door she tried, which was apparently a secret one. The armory is now very crowded, and it’s highly unlikely this many people would fit in that tunnel. If you even decide to pursue them, only a few people will be able to. The traps are finally disabled.

In the second portal room, all fighting stops as the undead all suddenly crumble to dust. Two voices call from the hallway. “Okay, so we took out the arch lich, but there’s something else down this way too.” “What?” “Not sure, but whatever it is, it took out a bunch of elemental wizards, several rings in fact.” “And? That’s like every **** monster in this **** place. Cor, I hate this place.” “How do you think I feel? You were the one that stole the ring!” “It was just a… joke.” “Oh gorilla.” The two arch magi stop at the base of the passageway engie had seen in the corner of his extra-dimensional vision, looking around at the group that had already been totaling the undead.

Not really for me, I like the reliability. I missed one day due to abject laziness, but I find it easy to keep pace.

I notice the space/time archmagi for the first time, and grin once again. “Hmm hmm hmm. When fighting someone who proclaims themselves to be a master of something, never fight them on their own turf.” I set up a set of spatiotemporal wards around myself to prevent any unreasonable shenanigans, before pulling out a strange-looking object impressed with an insect-like insignia, leveling it at the arch spatiomancer. The Dimir Signet glows with blue and black energy as I channel mana into it, before a set of cards wink in around me. I pick one, Glimpse the Unthinkable, and touch the Signet to it. The energy from the signet flows into the card, infusing it with mind-shattering power, before I point the card at the arch spatiomancer. A blast of ravening blue and black mana streaks at the arch spatiomancer, impacting him and scouring his mind of useful spells and knowledge. The spell essentially simulated a destructive revelation in his mind, scouring magical knowledge from him. I specifically set it to target combat applications of his spatial mastery. Heh. Subsequent to this, I expand my previously-existent wards over the entire party. We don’t want anyone getting half-spatially displaced, or aged to dust, after all. I’ve seen both happen. They aren’t pretty.

Switching my Claws into a Whipfist (sharp biomass tendril with a spiked end), I launch it towards one of the Archmage's chest, trying to punch through it.

I decide to try to get rid of the Arch Chronomancer. I send fake mes to slash the heck out of them, while i work on another batch bubble that will hopefully negate slowing us down too much.
