Q&A: @paradise: Okay, and okay. I won't press you on it. @fseftr: um... the GM did a stupid? @ohboy: in response to that I have one thing to say. Its Reyn time! Sadly I don't have anything Xenoblade-themed planned, so I'm not actually foreshadowing anything. But you know. @math: Nice. @sacred: I don't think you need to blow that limit break quite yet. @patry: In-character vs. OOC dude, you don’t know the way there.

@charging: okay, to clear things up, you have to dedicate all three of your +1s now, but all three can be assigned to the same charge now because I'm tired of fighting people over that.

Earl continues sitting around, observing, and prepping his charges for his inevitable return to significance. Solar looks around the portal room to figure out what’s going on. Well, the leader of the battle magi within the warded sanctuary, as well as four of his elites, plus 11 angry flux demons are all assaulting your group. Oh, also, there’s a bunch of traps going all off all over the place. Such as the massive hammer that just launched you across the room.

Wyld dodges to the back of the room, setting up portals as he goes along. “Hah! So you’re the so-called ‘great warrior’ that has everyone up in arms! Pathetic. Just a flunked initiate! And I think I’d notice if you had a Witcher, a magic sink that powerful leaves a mark on the area around it, and you my friend do not leave the trace of such a thing.” The arch battlemage charges forwards, suddenly equipped with a massive battleaxe, crashing straight through all of the shields thrown back by wyld without slowing, and suddenly wyld is trying to dodge sword-swipes from a very real, non-magical axe. That would, in fact, still hurt.

Fseftr slows down time with the azure armory, and cuts into the battle master, who manages to, even in slowed time, grab the weapon and knee Blue’s avatar in the gut, then fling him away, but not before being bloodied. Jondanger jumps at the arch battlemage, who spins on his heels, and catches the grinder on a massive mana shield, which promptly begins glowing, and then blasts jondanger clear across the portal room into a flux demon.

Amp attempts to sneak around behind the arch battlemage, but is intercepted by one of the battle masters, who grabs him, and slams him into the ground, before getting the slug intended for his master right to the skull. Boom, headshot. Tartar attempts to sneak up on him, and is also intercepted. This time, with more success, as the interfering battle master’s armor stops epochmaker before it can wound its target, and the battle master delivers an upperhand hammer swing that launches tarter back, into another flux demon.

pillow begins setting off the traps with large amounts of fish, setting off most of them harmlessly, greatly reducing the numbers of hazards in the chamber. Ichigo fires a blast of force lightning at the arch battlemage, but it is intercepted by another of the battle masters, who redirects it with a skilled sword slice. Shiny tears an important supporting structure out of the ceiling causing a piece of the ceiling to fall down towards the arch battlemage, who hits it out of the air right into wyld with a massive hammer.

Paradise runs back to the second portal room, and fires a cannonball out of the blunderboss… but reality ensues fails to do anything! It may be made of obsidian, but it’s also held together with magic, so real life geological technicalities won’t affect it much. Engie rushes into the middle of the skeletal giants, and swings his massive hammer around RIGHT ROUND LIKE A RECORD BABY RIGHT ROUND ROUND ROUND sending assorted pieces of 7 skeletal giants and numerous lesser undead all over the place. Maskwolf runs into the second portal room, and begins using his anti-magic gear to shrivel up the summoned necromantic minions before they can even reach him. h2o looks around as he teleports into the second portal room.

Jindra charges through the enchanters, cutting two in half. The arch enchanter pops her neck, rolls her sleeves, and pulls a glowing golden sword out of thin air. “Alrighty then demon. Whatever world you hail from, you had better hope you can return quickly, otherwise, you shall not be seeing it again. Nobody breaks my workers.” The other enchanters in the room have grabbed weapons from the shelves and tables, with varying degrees of confidence and knowledge, and suddenly the arch enchanter is a whirlwind of light, slamming the sword into jindra’s aura again and again, sending flashes of energy outwards.

Laitome gets the shadow hydra riled up, leading it to the door, and jumping out into the hallway, Shadow and the Party dodging out of the way of the hydra as it attempts to get at laitome. It slams into the wall, then stops, two of its heads trying to squeeze through the door at laitome, the rock the makes up the hallway doesn’t seem to take any damage from the beast slamming into it. Chaoscreeper sits back, letting laitome bait the shadow hydra into the door. Shadow and the party begin unleashing light-based attacks on it. The hydra hisses, and attempts to get out of the door, but it is jerked backwards as it becomes painfully obvious that it has gotten stuck in the doorway.

Coolstar clears the way by creating a batch file that completely negates the firewall. Ohboy suddenly pulls out the true version of an iconic red sword, and with a piercing shout, slams it into the technomancers, creating a large blast that destroys all of them. moocow takes out the wand of healing and whacks one of the firestorm magi… healing him. He grins, and blasts them with a column of fire, shooting her to the back of the corridor.

math unleashes a powerful blast at the obsidian colossus, causing it to collapse inwards possibly, but not condensing it into a tight ball as desired. Zbse shoots some shots of pure magic at the colossus, causing it to stumble backwards. Zbse watches with interest as paradox magic crackles up the length of the colossus, causing it to crumble to the ground.

Crystal taps the panel, and uses knock, and numerous other such things, and various other such things. As it turns out, the panel does not open at all. Meanwhile, while everything else was happening, herobrine was on the floor in the portal room, spasming about, clearing the last of the Glitch from his system. Suddenly, right after crystal gives up, the room begins crackling with energy. The clockwork in the walls begins spinning and churning, clicking in mechanical rhythm, interspersed with the flashing of the time magic that runs the entire thing. Dark waves of power surge over the clockwork, condensing on the front of the panel.

Paradox magic, crystal realizes with alarm. And then suddenly, it forms into a circle, and then a box expands outwards as the gears around the room begin sparking. Crystal dives for cover as gears begin flying everywhere, and a loud explosion gives way to a certain very recognizable laugh. Hee hee hee… And so my arrival is heralded, much the same as a building’s collapse is announced by the flash of high explosives… Oh, hello there! It seems you opened the door for me to come in, I suppose you might know your way around here better than I?

I AM A GENIUS!

With several ideas in my head I pull out my cell phone and open a three-way skype chat between myself, Chaoscreeper, and Shadow and the Party.

Ok guys we have a stuck Demon Hydra on our hands so we got two options we kill it while it's down or we tame the Hydra and use him as our own weapon. I'm open to any input, but I'm thinking three.

@sacred and Chaoscreeper spit your posts again one for taming the hydra and one for it getting out of the door and atracking us.

I got a plan that I think will work you guys just need to hold him and the remaining three heads down, what do you guys think? I mean, my baiting plan worked in our favor so maybe this one will too.

Regardless I call up Omnversal Inc. and order them to send me a camera crew who happen to have a page of zbse's book.

Yep already injected the nanomachines into the meat and we are ready to roll on your call.

Okay, on my count. Three, Two, One. Greetings residents and employees, I'm Laitome, your CEO and corporate overload and today we have a special show for you called, "How to tame your very own fice-headed shadow hydra. Now the trick is to have it stuck and helpless like how I set up this guy here. Once you have him stuck take your neural nanomachine soaked meat and try to feed the hydra, remember to have your Omnversal Incorporated neural bracelet so you can order it around without "language barriers."

First I put on the nrural bracelet so I am connected to the nanomachines. I carefully feed the hydra beef ribs injected with nanomachines that subtly dig their way to the hydra's central nervous system and linking with it, allowing me to directly command and control it with my mind.

@piono If you want you can eat up my smaller charge with this if it is needed to tame the Hydra.

Are we rolling? Yes? good let's begin. Welcome residents I'm Laitome, your CEO and corporate overlord and today I'm going to show you how to kill a shadow hydra.pulls out Glyph Blade and sets it to laser sword.

Now the important part is making sure you cauterize the head stumps when you cut off the heads so they don't grow back thankfully laser swords are perfect for this.

I then proceed to cut off the two Hydra heads on my side of the door before setting the Glyph Blade to life/powersteal and stabbing it into the hydra's body.

I spam fire lasers at the group of storm spirits. Unfortunately, I forget to open my eyes. I open them to realise I completely missed all of them, as they double over laughing at my failure. Then large portion of the ceiling falls and flattens them.

I then pull a large fan out of my hammer space and begin blowing the spirits away. And throw some pieces of debris into the stream, which blow towards them and crash through the group.

As the battle mage keeps swinging his axe at me, I dodge by instinctual self preservation despite being immortal(albiet one that reincarnates upon death rather quickly), but all of the sudden I get a bored expression as I learn his pattern of attacks, and just when I'm about to start a counter... a piece of ceiling flies out of nowhere from the corner of my eye, nearly slamming into me. I turn to catch it and slide back from the momentum, I may be a mage, but once upon a time, I was a barbarian that lifted and threw catapults. Hell, I WAS a catapult in my own right. As ?I'm sliding back I spin around and redirect the boulder and its momentum at the arch battle mage, and start stalking towards him with no small amount of menace. "Failed initiate? I am IMMORTAL! and you kidnapped just 'cuase you thought it'd be funny to teach a barbarian immortal magic, and use it me as a BLOODY TEST SUBJECT TO SEE HOW TOUGH YOUR STUPID SUMMONS WERE! And even then... I rush forward, dodging axe swings like they were moving through molasses "I, was faster," I start my counter attack, pushing back with punches that, once upon a time, would stagger colosi, still dodging xe swings like a boxer. "I was STRONGER!" I keep up my assault, throwing out devastating combos with the advice of my infusion's memories of her own training which, admittedly, was much more extensive. I, was BETTER! As i continue the assault, I do a 'axe catch' and grin evily. "I, was smarter," Several devices form at our feet during the grapple, Revealing themselves to be a gravity enhancing trap. Not touching the devices myself, I allow the infusion to take over, who finishes the "I'm better than you speech with" "And to top it all off, now I'm a witcher too." she spoke with an subtlety different accent, and with a more mischievous glint than my mage form could have ever managed, Before slapping a copious amount of incendiary devices to the arch battle mages chest and back flipping away, letting the arch mage be blasted through the wall jindra stepped through earlier before following.

As the infusion did the final touches I did a mental sigh of relief. the arch battle mage always had substantially stronger magic than I did, my tech was much more precise though. But I probably wouldn't have been able to keep up that assault for a few moments longer, not without changing up my skill set so he couldn't counter it. After all, that was what a battle mage was for, finding the one weakness an enemy had and exploiting it mercilessly. Luckily being an immortal left essentially no fatal weaknesses other than how strong of a will to go forward you had, usually.

the guy's probably still alive, but at best he's wounded. Seems like a good time to counter attack an over confident enemy though.

In a jester-induced rage, I suddenly use my DEVOUR charge on the Dracoliches, apparently having decided that reanimated dragon skeletons are delicious while ranting about how annoying it is that Protoh and Shadow sound the same. And that is a very odd sentence for me to say.

@everyone reacting to Dimentio. Zbse is the only one not in the immediate vicinity (those in the immediate vicinity are crystal, fortis, coolstar, moocow and ohboy) who knows about the explosion legitimately, and that's because he's got extensive paradox powers. That being said, I suppose you can still do stuff, just don't overdo it. Not knowing the layout of the castle is in full effect.

@herobrine: You're good to act, you're in portal room 1.

IF THE HYDRA CAN INDEED BE TAMED:

   "...but we need to see if we can bring this thing to our side. We're Eldritch beings, it's an Eldritch being, we're compposed of shadowy material, it appears to be composed of shadowy material, it just seems like it works out."   

   Shadow    slips out of the door and attempts to make mental contact with the Hydra, projecting a subjugating field from his eyes, attempting to do to the Hydra what he has done to countless monsters in order to tame them. The Sacred Spirit slips out of the door and hops into the air, and s/he floats to the trapped Hydra, attempting to use his/her status as the Aspect of Nature to soothe and tame the Hydra as well. Arkus prepares a field spell to encapsulate the beast, keeping it from escaping, and Commander Protoh readies a poison if everything goes wrong.

IF WE HAVE TO PUT THE BEAST OUT OF ITS MISERY:

   "...but we have a monster to slay. KEEP UP THE ATTACKS!"   

Arkus and the Sacred Spirit continue bombarding the Hydra with light, while    Shadow    and Commander Protoh prepare a pile of machinery to create something useful.

I look at Dimentio, before gulping. "Well, if you want a map, just look down. It's up for me, but for you it's down. And it's not exactly a map, but it's enough of a location list. And entities, and players, I guess?" I can practically feel the paradox energy, and I can certainly feel/see/sense the Narrative coalescing around this jester. "Well, now I'm wishing I'd read that fight section of the other thread more carefully," I think to myself. "Or is he an ally now? I can't remember... Eh. Best to just use caution for now." A mental message flashes across universes and canons to my other self, who begins searching his own fundament for information while I flash out of normal reality for a picosecond to everything else, but approximately a minute for me, split my consciousness using an old technique I learned in one particularly interesting universe, and one consciousness, Crys, begins searching mine as I flash back into congruent reality. By which we mean, of course, searching the threads. I grasp a wand, ready for anything that might happen. Not exactly hostile, but not displaying weakness either.

I receive a set of temporally-displaced messages from my other self, send back "Yeah, I just found that fight myself. I think that incarnation was killed in the end." and cast a passive scan to detect hostile or destructive intent.

After being hit by the hammer, Solar is dismounted from me (not that I realize it) in a way that is weirdly propelling him to his target, and then I quickly rush in to the Arch Battle Mage, then each of my legs pins each of his limbs on the floor.

Then, I Firebreath him on the face.

3 to Solar.

I back off a little and use The Azure Armoury to lay suppressive fire on the battle masters.

Wowow, many assists today.

I clear the glitch-ness out of my system, then begin rolling on the floor to the nearest wall, surveying everything around me. I attempt to find a weakness or pattern in the Arch Mage, probing with my weak lingering mental prowess.

Apparently, having an infusion of raw evility and the glitch inside of my system, some of the powers became permanent.

I taunt the archmage, drawing his attention toward myself and away from the others in the area. Is that the extent of your offence capabilities? I could outheal all that damage with my basic healing spells.

eldritch radar: 15/20 —

grr... you wanna go by Minecraft logic? fine then. I grap a lasso and begin swinging it around, before looping it around the top/heah of the obsidian colossus. YEE-HAW MOTHER-<gorillaERS!. Then I use the rope to climb up towards the top, and pull out a diamond pickaxe, and begin gradually chipping away at the colosssus in hopes that getting rid of the head will at least impede it.
