Reaching into my back pocket, I pull out an ornate beast horn, carved and shaped into a musical horn. I blow on it and it releases a low dull tone that shakes the foundations around me. Then a low rumbling begins. And grows. And grows.
As the sound reaches directly behind us, I shoot a hook onto the ceiling, pulling me up.
Then, a horde of bull, cow, sheep, chicken, pig, horses, mice, lama, bison, spiders, sparkly vampires, alpaca, camel, cat, dog, reindeer and rabbits swarm into the hall, through the door from outside, seemingly appearing from nowhere. The horde runs over the gnomes, kicking and trampling them and continuing down the hallway.
I drop from the ceiling, land on a horse and follow this chaotic horde.

Hey! Stop reading this! This is a signature, not a library!I immediately blast the sparkly vampires with a Fusion Lance, obliterating them to the atomic level.

So I ended up GM-ing a thing, oops; http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=149024.870 Well, they deserved it.
Indeed they did. It's basically the default for them.
gosh dang it. Sorry guys, there's fifty battle mages. I went back and fixed that. Anyways, I'll do a quick Q&A while I'm here.
@pastry: Um... from here on out, a lot of the times, yes. Just remember to put a chain of targets in case the one you were going after is no longer around to be targeted.
@laitome: You don't know. It definitely leads somewhere, it could be an illusion, it could be a room with no lights, or it might be the stomach of some monster, or something else!
@h2o: Well then. I guess that makes you the second(?) DTG character from Roblox.

SoundCloudShiny, you need to assign those 1+'s to others. I'd be willing to take some of them and give you that number next round, but I'm currently tapped out for resources to give to others.
Backstory: This is effectively my character from a Bay12 forum game where we were trapped as dwarves in the game dwarf fortress.
I immediately scan around for magical signatures, before attempting an instant move to the Portal Room through flashstep, teleport, and flying really fast, in that order. If none of those get me to the Portal Room, the move is considered unsuccessful. If I successfully reach the Portal Room, the move is considered successful.
If the move is successful, a blade of pure magical energy wraps itself around my hand and extends to approximately five feet in length. Ensis Exsequens, the Sword of Conviction. Forces a phase-change to gas on other states of matter, liquid or solid, that it passes through. This has the dual effects of vaporizing anything the blade touches and causing an extreme cold snap from the heats of fusion and vaporization being forcibly absorbed from the surroundings. I slice once or twice at the Adamantine Colossus with the glowing magical weapon.
If the move is unsuccessful, however, I further scan the Clockwork Room for any natural entrances or exits, before attempting a move through one of those if one exists, and beginning to move to the Portal Room if none exist.
- +1's to Fseftr, Amp, Engie.
Also, really piono, call me crystal, not amethyst. I prefer the former, that's the name I would be using had I not lost my other account on here, and anyway that's my RP character's name.

I quickly materialize a sword made of paradox magic and slash it at the three.

You guys found a portal room? AWESOME, I've got some stuff I need to teleport in. I'm-a comin'!
I rush towards the portal room, and realize that the huge crowd of battle mages makes an excellent target for spread shot. Thus, I load another round of buckshot into the Blunderboss, and fire at wherever the densest concentration of battle mages is. This gun was built for situations like this!

to Mathleticism.
I would suggest giving charges to the people with the largest charges right now. I.e. Laitome and me.
Also. Duck. You can't have four charges. You can only have two. Ditch two of them, and no, you may not migrate those accumulated charges and add them to the ones you will keep.

I am the once and future king. But then that would prevent those with lower charge levels from ever getting a strong charge built up.
I'd honestly either give charges to those you can count on to get things done, or those who give you charges. Just saying. The goal level a high power charge with a high goal, means a higher chance of the game ending before it does anything.

The fact that only 140 characters are allowed here is honestly so disappointing to me.BANKS:

Bank Two: 17
"Strategize!Protoh!"
Commander Protoh straightens up, saluting Shadow.
"SIR!"
"Protoh, we need bait! Get some meat for the Hounds!"
"What, do you think I just carry meat in my pockets all day?!? Just joking. I'll use my rations."
Commander Protoh pulls out some jerky, and tosses it close to, but a safe distance away from The Party. If the Hellhounds rush to eat it, the Sacred Spirit will blast them with water, soaking them, which will no doubt sting, given their fire-aligned status, and Shadow will blast them with the Emerald Nova, which will no doubt sting because it'll tear some of them to shreds because it's the most Godly Artifact so far.
Plus to Wyld, Ichigo, Tabbune.

So we are drawing from df? I can work with that. I take out a spawn inhibitor in case battle ages keep on appearing as we kill them. I then cast mass transmute man to fish on a cluster of mages and shovel the results into my mouth with my powers. After that I throW a fluffy wambler at the collosus.

Contrary to popular belief Tartar had not in fact been sitting idly by for three consecutive rounds but had actually been letting the Temporal Circuit inside the Epochmaker charge up It was now filled to the brim with temporal energies, which Tartar at once started releasing while seemingly starting slash at the air.
The temporal energies that had accumulated were now being released. This sudden burst of energy into space-time caused it to bend and curve, creating a brief wormhole connecting the Entry Hallway and the Portal Room. Tartar promptly entered through the wormhole and entered a room filled with portals, thereafter the wormhole behind him collapsed in on itself.

I see what you did there.
Q&A: @maskwolf: okay. @paradise: Um... well, uh, oops. That's what happens when I assume. @moocow: fixed. @jindra: Son of a... -_- Yup. Ah well, at least it won't be spent on an entity, but now I have a player with 410 posts worth of charge... @fortis: also, sorry, but you having a golden orb was just a typo. @shiny and tabbune: you guys were charging into areas you didn't know about. If regular vision were able to detect the side passage the party went down, I would have mentioned it. Sacred's Unity characters can see magical folds and such like, since the aspects of Unity (as a group) are on the same level of power as universe eaters.
@all: Also, I'd like to make a note that the things you are encountering and slaughtering is by no means comprehensive. As you may have noticed, most of these magi are cautious or outright cowardly. They've had lots of dealings with dangerous things, and have learned that when in doubt, running is often the best survival tactic. As such, you guys are only going to get a small portion of the magi here to be killed.
.
jindra charges himself up with a powerful black aura. The power flashes outwards, the alarms of the area go off, and then blasts are heard, the battle mages all step back uneasily as jindra leaps up into the air, and carves a 2 foot wide hole right through the middle of the adamantine colossus. The adamantine colossus staggers just a little bit, and then wyld grabs it, draining all of the sparking magical energy right out of it, and then throwing it through the floor, opening up to another room down beneath, nothing inside said room survives though. First miniboss killed in one combo attack!
Amp moves to deal with the magi, and begins porting/rushing between the pillars, popping bullets and explosives at the battle magi, who are still shell-shocked from the portal room's guardian being totaled in roughly 30 seconds. 5 go down in quick succession from his vaguely sprayed weaponry, and then they finally begin to put up defensive measures and moving around to dodge the attacks.
Paradise suddenly rushes in, and opens fire with the blunderboss. Some of the shots are deflected, some are avoided, but roughly 4 battle mages who were attempting to rush the group are caught in the scatter shot, killing all of them. Fseftr attempts to animate the armor suits of the fallen battle magi, but it seems they've been enchanted against this eventuality. Remilia sprays danmaku at the battle mages, killing 3 of them, and Sundowner rips apart another 6 when they try to come in for melee range. The battle mages charge forwards towards the main group, forcing Sundowner to move back, and 2 more fall when they touch their weapons to wyld in an attempt to down him, and their weaponry stops working. One of the portals begins glowing...
The hellhounds go for the food... which is to say, commander protoh. Sacred Spirit comes to his rescue with a spray of water followed up by gunfire from Shadow, which kills most of the hellhounds, and scares the rest away. Pillow attempts to transform the battle mages into fish, but fails, because that's also been warded against. The fluffy wambler does mange to decapitate the colossus. For all the good that does... Tartar quickly joins the group in the portal room.
maskwolf throws his light rod into the room. The hallway isn't attacked, but instead the light rod is extinguished upon entering the room. It seems like the darkness is artificial. jondanger runs back the other way and joins the other team. Ichigo cloaks and readies some toxic darts. And because he doesn't feel safe, he shoots the fallen colossus in the back with his blaster. Laitome sends a drone to investigate the room, and manages to find a page from zbse's book, but whirls around as the sound of the drone being hissed at by something large and smashed comes from the room.
He and chaoscreeper dive into the room, and then collapse the entrance. The two are in the room and hear several loud hissing sounds, all coming from the same general area. Then the sound of something with scales standing up. Laitome and chaoscreeper both dive out of the way as something rushes past them. It looks like the cloaking doesn't work on whatever it is. Solar meanwhile heads over and joins the team in entry hallway 2.
Coolstar goes up to the top of the castle once more, he has to shut down the batch bubble almost immediately. It seems that the ambiance of the warded sanctuary involves lots and lots of just completely random summonings. All the time. Ohboy and moocow immediately begin a high-speed chase through the hallways, following the chronomancers and immediately run into a patrol of technomancers, who have joined up with the chronomancers... joined by a pair of what look like particularly nasty mages. Crystal is unable to leave, but scanning the room... The massive array of clockwork in the walls is radiating large amounts of magical energy, all focusing into an area at the back of the wall which is obscured by a panel. There is also a few small floating tables, one of them has a small pile of papers.
duck decides to stop standing around and enters the fortress. Math summons a massive horde of various random animals, as well as a couple of horrible monstrosities that amp somehow manages to accidentally hit with a fusion lance shot aimed at the battle magi due to a highly unlikely fold in the space-time continuum, math drops down on his horse and leaves the gnomes' corpses behind as he follows behind his entourage of random animals. He rides along on this chaotic procession, rushing past a number of confused magi of various different kinds.
He sees several eldritch abominations, which just whips the stampede even further into its frenzy, resulting in the abominations getting trampled and kicked, along with their summoners and a handful more unfortunate gnomes. They come out into a wide unenclosed space... another portal room. This one has a large obsidian colossus in the center. The animals quickly spread out and a small group of magi operating one of the portals turn around and begin firing spells into the animals to get them to go away. Zbse materializes a paradox sword and tears through both of the eldritch abominations. The summoner's eyes go wide as he realizes that zbse is not only unafraid of the monstrosities he's summoned, but is utilizing even more dangerous magic. The summoner rushes out into the hallway, and then looks around as the sounds of various animals is heard. He is promptly trampled by math passing with his massive chaotic stampede. The summoner survives of course, but he is much the worse for wear, and quickly scrambles away.

DTG Co Labs I can haz youtubes?
Assuming the Armored Battlemages are actually a thing, I, having no real idea of what to do against the Adamantine Golem my allies are probably already dealing with, stow my sword in Hammerspace and replace it with a heavy carbine, intended to fight other power-armored scouts at close range, Imagine a short, lightweight Barrett M82 with an ACOG and a fifteen-plus-one-ITC magazine pop out from behind my pillar, 'asplode a helmet, warp to a different pillar, throw a grenade, warp again, make three shots blind, warp again just as the pillar takes a barrage of fireballs, and drink a potion of invisibility to reposition. All within about ~3 seconds, I move *fast* in this armor.
If they aren't, I start attacking the Golem with my remaining magic sword, hoping to either distract it or do something useful.
